Thirsty Lion Gastropub & Grill – Denver
Great brunch, good selection, kid friendly. Service was excellent and bloody mary was perfect.
It was Valentines Day so expected it to be busy but the food was average and service was ok but not great
It was a very busy Valentine's Day dinner rush, and from our perspective the staff all did an amazing job. The cocktails, food and service were top notch. We had a great time.
We frequently go here before sporting events, and it is consistently excellent. The Sechzuan orange chicken was great, and Tori provided great table service.
One of our favorite places to go before an AVS game. The beers on tap offer something for everyone and the margaritas just hig the spot. Follow the drinks with nachos or burgers, even the salmon was cooked to perfection. We will be back soon.
The food tasted like a line cook prepared it than a chef. The drinks seemed really watered down. Our waitress was great. We were disappointed overall with the food taste and had high expectations from previous visits. It is no longer on our favorite restaurants in Denver list. Too bad.
Really love this restaurant. Michelle was our server and she did a great job. Was attentive, friendly and pleasant.
The food was good but really just an average restaurant. I have no complaints, but nothing about it stands out above other places.
There were some mishaps with our dessert order and the final check, but the problem was resolved politely and quickly.
It was very close to our hotel, which was nice. The service was friendly. We had the queso dip to start. It was good and came out quickly, but it wasn't even close to some of the queso we've had other places. We each had a salad. The Carnitas Bowl was delicious and very filling with the rice and warm pork. The smoked chicken southwest salad was fantastic. The chicken was nice and smoky, and the salad had lots of great things in it including roasted corn, tortilla chips, avocado, etc.
Food ok. Noise almost unbearable.
Service was good.
It's our go to place before hockey games. Menu is diverse. Staff is fantastic. Food is delicious and big portions.
Went with my girls, our food was delicious and prompt, out waitress attentive and nice. That was my second time in and I’ll be back for more :)
First time eating here. For a busy night, we never felt like we were waiting around for our server. Drinks and food came fast. We had one guest running really late and the server didn't mind, she still checked in on us and made sure we were getting what we needed. Lively energy, throwback songs playing, and just a fun spot to get some grub.
We arrived 15 min early and they seated us, which was wonderful. We ordered from the NY's Eve menu and the shrimp was rubbery and all that came with it was bread. It was super busy and service was slow, especially for drinks.. The employees were very friendly and courteous.
My wife and I had a great time at the Thirsty Lion. Perfect experience for New Year's Eve. Food was great. I highly recommend the Fish and Chips. Great beer selection served cold in frosted pint glasses. Nice! The background music was a tad loud but acceptable given it was December 31! We'll be back.
Music a little loud
Service has always been very good and the food has as well.
Party of 4 and every meal was delicious. Even the cocktails were all made well...this is often a challenge with a martini.
Only complaint is the music, too loud which made it difficult to carry on a conversation without shouting.
Drinks we good and food was above average. It’s a nice place to go before an Avalanche game.
While we live less than five minutes from this location, this was our first visit here. We visited for lunch on Christmas Eve. The server was very friendly and the food was tasty. We will definitely be back
Great service but the food was average. Small drinks fir the price.
1. Snooty host
2. Dry/tasteless burger (their "special')
3. Beer selection mediocre (all the standards but few "interesting" brews)
4. Way TOO loud at dinner
Korean Baby Back Ribs were delicious! Bread Pudding was the dessert on the specials menu. So so good! Never had a bad experience here
Great space, but is only and pretty expensive for what you get.
Food was great. Service was good. Lots of energy and a positive vibe.
Food was very good. I had shrimp and risotto from seasonal menu. It was good but not 19.00 good. The club sandwiches were awesome and huge, could be shared. Other friend had beer steamed shrimp, portion was small. He helped finish one of the sandwiches. Waitress was great. Drinks were very good. The graham cracker porter was really good.
Fun place to go for a night out. Very much a bar atmosphere and nice variety of menu items.
They were able to accommodate our group of 8 with children. We made a reservation and it was ready when we got there. Food and service was great as well.
Always happy with my dining experience.
Food was not good. Had to send margaritas back. Very loud terrible music. Overall bad experience and won’t be going back.
Went here because the Thirsty Lion closed in Cherry Creek. Even though it is the same restaurant.... we thought the food was better at the Cherry Creek location.
Like the variety of food options offered. Everyone in our party of 7 enjoyed their order and it was served quickly. Only suggestion is toast those hamburger buns!
Great service from our server and really liked the efficiency of table side bill paying with the device and technology they had. Quick and easy especially on a busy Friday night when we had to get to a show on time after dinner.
Will definitely be back!
The food and service were good-They need a separate section for cocktails because they were poor. Mine and another person at our table had cocktails that were not good.
Overall, the menu options are varied and fun, and the food quality is also great. I wouldn’t say it’s the best food I’ve ever had, but it is a solid dinner option.
As always, the food and service were excellent. Unfortunately the music and conversation volume often times make it difficult to talk/hear.
We have been to the Thirsty Lion many times and have always been well satisfied. Like the variety of food offered and quality has always been excellent. Look forward to our next visit.
It was a Sat. night but there were several very large groups that were extremely loud, I could barely hear the person right across the table from me. Overall, though the food was good and the service was good so I still enjoy going here.
Thirsty Lion did not disappoint for a celebratory dinner . We had a great table reserved and waiting for us, which was great since we were on a strict timeline. The vibe was fun and casual, just what we were looking for. The menu had so many options that fit all our group's dietary needs. We were all raving about how delicious or meals were. We were celebrating 2 birthdays and they so kindly had 2 handwritten cards for each person with 2 desserts, it was so special!
Always have a great experience with drinks, food and service. One of my favorite places to attend.
