   We love celebrating milestones—big or small—so tonight we raised a glass at Blacksmith to mark 8 years since our move to Bend! I kicked things off with a Hotter Pink—a bold mix of X-Rated liqueur (French vodka, Sicilian blood orange, mango, and passion fruit), Cascade Lakes vodka, sour mix, and a kick of jalapeño. Jim went classic with a crisp Crux Pils. I couldn’t resist the soup of the day: a creamy potato leek topped with crispy onions—absolutely delicious. For dinner, I had the wedge salad (always a favorite!) and a perfectly cooked flat iron steak. Jim went with the chicken Marsala, and let’s just say there were no leftovers on his plate. I saved a bit of steak—hello, tacos tomorrow! We skipped dessert because Jim made a cheesecake at home, and I whipped up a fresh strawberry sauce to go with it. Blacksmith never disappoints—it’s our go-to spot for celebrating life’s moments, and tonight was no exception.

   Service is a bit aggressive on clearing plates. Came over 9 times during our dinner to take away plates, often that we were still working on

   First off, the ambiance of the place is subtle, yet energetic. All of the staff was friendly and polite, I had requested a birthday message for my wife and they outdid themselves with the request. Amazing experience overall.

   Repeat home run. Seemingly basic ribs and chicken, excellent. Great salads. Wine list, extensive. Only suggestion is they need a sommelier.

   We love Blacksmith for the overall experience, and the meal is always so delicious! We know the steak choices and sauces are outstanding, and never disappoint! Staff is professional and so nice! Thanks Blacksmith for celebrating my husband's birthday with us!

   Food was a solid good. Service was okay. Our server and the other staff were slightly rude-not engaged and the mood was blah. We definitely won’t be returning for anything special. There are so many great restaurants in Bend, and this one doesn’t stand out for us.

   We were celebrating my husband’s birthday and the Blacksmith delivered a perfect experience. They can now lay claim to having the best carrot cake in town.
