The Blacksmith Restaurant
To expensive. Service was excellent and the food good but the cost is over the line. 40 dollars for a meal and no salad ?
Went for our 30th anniversary dinner. Outstanding service—roses on the table as we sat. Great ceasar salad and awesome manhattan flight with a great choice of bitters. Food was great, although i would not get the scallops the way they were prepared again. Great time and great food.
Great food and service. Would recommend going to anyone.
The scallops with the risotto were the best I've ever eaten. Compliments to the chef.
The drinks were excellent; waitress very nice and we enjoyed the food. We will go back.
avoid the surf and turf, Wait staff was very good,
We loved the food! The atmosphere was nice and the staff was very friendly and on top of it. We will definitely be back.
Overall not a bad experience but the food selection was not very good. I had been told the steaks were very good but I found them to be average quality but over priced for what I received.
This establishment appears to be set up for tourists who don't mind paying top dollar for a medium quality dinner. The dessert selection was uninspiring.
If the chef was available for a hug, he would've got one. The bread pudding was on point. Great place to eat.
It's an absolute pleasure eating at this restaurant...
Service here is always exceptional. The multiple servers were attentive and thoughtful. We enjoy the food, but not all steaks are above par. I had the NW ribeye and found it to be a bit tough/gristley — not what I’d expect from Blacksmith. My wife had the tenderloin which was excellent. Everything else was great as always.
Cool atmosphere and amazing food!! The service was quick, food was steaming hot and drinks were tasty!! Can’t wait to go back!
Molly was outstanding, very attentive and not too overbearing. She handled our special needs for our elderly guests and special diet requirements with ease and empathy. As for the food, I am sure you're aware of the quality of your menu, but I must restate...outstanding. The steaks where to die for. Flavor and cooked to a true medium. Could be cut with a butter knife. We have been raving about dinner to all our friends.
Treated a friend from out of town, happened to be his bday.. great spot! My first time as well! Would highly recommend
this is a superior restaurant... the flavors were exquisite, awesome presentation, hot and fresh ingredients. The service was outstanding, friendly and attentive but not intrusive, the place was clean, beautiful with great accoustics for enjoyable conversations. Love this place!
I enjoyed our food and time here. Last time we were there it was dark out and I enjoyed the ambiance much more. We brought our own bottle of wine and the gal at the bar broke the cork in the half. The sommelier came out and was unable to get the rest out, and so had to push the cork in and then filter the wine out into a decanter. There were still bits of cork in the wine. It was a $400/ bottle of wine. :/ We heard the couple tables behind us had the same problem. Maybe more education on how to cork bottles. Not sure. Overall our particular server once we sat down was very good, the food was excellent and we will return!
Long-time Bend residents, we hadn’t been to the Blacksmith in years and years, and the experience went far beyond our expectations! First, the ambiance and environment felt special and unique. I had requested a table by the windows and it was spacious with perfect evening light. The server was gracious, knowledgeable and attentive. The food? Amazing! I ordered Chicen Marsala with some hesitation as I had a favorite from a shuttered restaurant that no other has lived up to. This one surpassed my recollection! The sauce was rich, full of mushroom and flavor. My husband, son and his girlfriend all had different steaks and were equally pleased with their choices. (The horseradish mashed potatoes, oh my!) We shared a delicious poke appetizer (my husband is still raving about it) and split Caesar and Smoky BLT salads, also delicious. (The tomato caviar on the BLT salad was just the right touch.) the dessert menu was also tempting, but we passed because we had plans with friends afterward. Next time we’ll have to decide between many of our favorites on the menu. And there will be a next time. The Blacksmith will be our new favorite go-to spot and a recommendation I can’t wait to tell friends about!
Enjoyed our evening at the Blacksmith. Food was good and the staff very friendly.
Absolutely amazing food and great atmosphere! Food was prompt after ordering and was exactly how we wanted it prepared.
Every time I go there the food is amazing. Plus the have a great wine list.
This is a great place for food lovers with a unique atmosphere.
Four of us had a great meal. The restaurant had been recommended to us and we are glad we came. Calamari as an appetizer. Was delicious, although for $16 we felt was quite a small portion. We all had various steaks and they were perfectly cooked. Had a great time!
Jordan helped get our group set, even with all of the extra accommodation our group required.
Lindsay took attentive care of our group with poise and grace. She was accurate and checked in to ensure everyone was taken care of promptly. I greatly appreciated the restaurant staying open just for us for an hour post scheduled closing time; it did not go unnoticed 😁.
I was very impressed with the service. The food was AMAZING! Will definitely be coming back when we come visit Bend again.
Fantastic food, super cool old building with nostalgia and stories, service was just awesome and drinks were off the charts great! Our server Dawn was attentive and gave great food suggestions like a foodie professional does, thanks for such a great experience!
The service was superb. The atmosphere was great, noise level really good. Hidden in my risotto, under the 3 large scallops was a pancake scallop, tasted fine, just weird. Food was fine otherwise.
Delicious! The best service. The best everything. It was the perfect dinner to end our honeymoon weekend!
Blacksmith is one of our favorite restaurants in Bend. The steaks are always prepared the way you asked for them. Overall, you can never go wrong by reserving a table at Blacksmith.
The Blacksmith never fails to deliver. I will say again (I think I've reviewed before?), the polenta croutons are TO. DIE. FOR.
We watched the table next to us get the Fosters banana split, and I think that's a "next time" goal. Scallops were amazing, shrimp and grits excellent, surf and turf very good, steak was great but hard to cut? Maybe it was a not-so-sharp knife.
We are a chatty group (in-laws in from out of state) and so the entree plates were quite warm from - I assume - waiting for us to stop talking and finish our salads, but nothing was overcooked.
Will order the Chicken Marsala next time and see if it lives up to the hype!
Tami, our server, was amazing - as usual, and took possibly the best photo of our group that has ever been taken :D
Excellent service and good food. We had a fun evening.
We loved the Blacksmith restaurant. We had the burgers and they were great! Also the beer is really good :)
The 24 oz bone in rib eye let me down, not as high a grade of beef as I was expecting. The tenderloin was good and the sides very good. Service was OK but nothing more than average. One of the three of us had to request a steak knife, a little strange for a steak house.
We've been there many times, but look forward to every visit. The type of place that you can't decide what to get...but everything is great!
Excellent food and service. The noise level was a bit high though. Thanks for a great meal!
Great personable service. Tender flavorful steaks cooked to perfection.
A night at Blacksmith's is just a great night. Good food, great bar. Live music nights are a bonus but the food is always excellent.
OMG!!! It was amazing. The NW ribeye dinner was to die for. We had the best service and it was just a great experience!!!!!!
Restaurant is loud. Food was exceptional. Had not been in about 2 years and either the chef was on point or the manager stepped up there game...ok both. Worth the expensive meal!
This is one of the top two or three restaurants in Bend. Consistently great food and service, the ambience is great as well, quiet enough to have a conversation. For sure it is the best Rib-eye steak in Bend. Enjoy your experience, you won't be disappointed.
Food, service and employees were out of this world. The Music was also very good. Steve and Jim were awesome.
