We had a memorable evening at The Bistro. It was awesome to be able to go to a fine dining restaurant, to enjoy a dinner for two during this Time of COVID, to be waited on at a restaurant that prides itself on impeccable service, amazing food, delicious cocktails and great wine. So many restaurants today have not been able to navigate these difficult times, to provide their diners with the experience we are searching for when we go out to eat on a weekend evening: To have a quiet, romantic, exquisite meal, leaving the hassles of the world behind. Thank you. You made our evening.
We always love the Bistro!! Top notch service and outstanding food. Everything on the menu is great! Good drinks and desserts! If it wasn't so pricey (worth it) we would come here all the time!
the sole was very fishy. very average food like you might get at an airport
We come back at least 6 times a year! The food is always amazing as well as the staff.
We love the Bistro. All was wonderful with ambiance and service. The food was lackluster for the first time. All the other visits were wonderful. The Chicken Parmesan was somewhat dry and firm. The Chicken Piccata had reduced flavor. The stuffed Sole was good but a bit lacking in flavor. This was an off night for them (a Sunday). We will definitely return - with pleasure.
We enjoyed our spot, right by the roaring fireplace, and the ambience was lovely, including the piano man. I ordered the frutti di mare (spelled wrong on their menu, btw) and seriously, what was supposedly salmon tasted like charred bread pudding. I don't know what happened to it, but it really had no flavor (except for the charred bits) and had a really weird texture (like moist bread). The rest of that dish was delicious, as was the wine.
I was somewhat dissapointed, unfortunately. Not sure I'd recommend.
Incredible ambiance, impeccable service and delicious food and drinks!
Enjoyed the meal. We were celebrating our 10th anniversary. Restaurant is doing a good job of handling COVID restrictions and not impacting the experience.
Incredible evening! Great food, service, and atmosphere! We never seemed to need, miss or wait for anything! The server was very professional and on her ‘game’ anticipating our every need, and yet she quietly did her job perfectly without ever distracting us from our conversation. The giant fireplace was beautiful, and the room was cozy. We visit the Bistro several times per year, and our experiences have been consistently outstanding. See ya next time!!
The Bistro and its staff were just wonderful. We accidentally showed up 45 mins early for our reservation and they graciously made up a table for us, which was unexpected and so appreciated. The food was absolutely delicious and the rose pedals on the table, as well as the complimentary truffles, for our anniversary were a very sweet surprise and added to the marvelous experience!
We celebrated our anniversary here and it was perfect! The ambience is beautiful and the food was so amazing!! I'd highly recommend the ribeye.
For as few of people that were in there the server wasn’t as attentive. The food only came out warm not hot. It did however taste delicious.
The fillet was top notch, mashed potatoes & veggies plentiful, no room for dessert!
Great service and excellent food for our 20th wedding anniversary. They took great care of us!
The service was, as always, just great. Our server was there when we needed her, and was very fun. My lamb chops were beautiful, and I had no problem devouring them. My dinner companions and I hadn't seen each other in a long time, and we had huge fun.
All in all, a really great night! I never get disappointed at the Bistro.
Wonderful evening. Perfect prime rib. Great safety protocols. Excellent service. Fantastic live piano made for a really great night out.
We loved the place! Hubby said best prime rib ever!!!! The service was amazing!! BUT we both had tummy issues when we got home an the only thing we both had was the Brussels sprouts... We will be there again for the prime rib again for sure but no Brussels sprouts!!! Our guest couldn’t say enough positive things about your place!!!
Loved having KC greet us! Nice way to start the evening. Always love having Becca as our server. She's so good and made us feel so very special!
The food was amazing, and the service was excellent! Favorite dishes were the pork tenderloin as a main course and the flourless chocolate cake with espresso chocolate chip ice cream for dessert.
Rustic, unique and comfortable restaurant.
The food was varied and delicious - service was very good.
It took a bit to get our entrees - but there was a rehearsal dinner going on too and the place was packed.
Definitely worth the trip to the other side of Evergreen
The service has always been great. Friendly and knowledgeable. Sat quickly and cocktails were delicious. The food was just ok this time. The lamb tacos were very chewy and not well flavored. The Caesar salad was not great either. Fishy dressing and nothing noteworthy. The lobster risotto was good but I’ve had better same with the sole. For $150 bill I was not thoroughly impressed by the experience if I’m being completely honest. 100% based on the food and taste quality as again the service was terrific. It was time well spent with my wife so that made it all worthwhile but the culinary part could use a little checkup.
Everything was great. We had brunch at Bistro Marshdale. Decided to make the drive from Denver to enjoy the fall weather and scenery. The historic feel of the building, excellent service, and good food made for a unique and memorable experience.
I had brunch with my wife and we had a wonderful time.
Great food and atmosphere. Also our waitress was fantastic, as always.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Food was delicious. Next time I’ll split the main dish. Left so full.
The food is always fantastic. It’s my go to place for taking friends and family for an amazing Colorado meal.
Food was awesome. Short ribs and Pot roast very good. Desert was good chocolate cake.
My wife and I went for our anniversary. The staff is doing a great job accommodating covid restrictions and the food and service was as great as always. That said, this was the loudest the restaurant has ever been in the years we've been customers. There was a large party spread out over three tables and they were carrying on with no regard for anyone else. The table with several man-bun sporting hipsters was especially obnoxious. I'm a bit hard of hearing and with this group carrying on I was unable to hear my wife speaking so we cut dinner short and got dessert elsewhere. We'll certainly be back, hopefully the rude people won't.
First time visit so we did not know how the seating would be. Friday night had live piano which was nice, but was next to our table so quite loud. *bring cash to tip piano and make a request. Will definitely return and ask for a porch table, still inside but a little more removed from the noise and traffic.
Mussels as appetizer, very nice. Scallop special w garlic rosemary mashed potatoes were excellent. Mixed vegetables were freshly steamed but a bit bland. All desserts are made in house so it’s hard to go wrong. Bread pudding was not what I expected... a twist from the original but nice.
Great food and great place. service was amazing and loved the feel
The Bistro at Marshdale is one of the very best restaurants in the Foothills. We are so fortunate we live close by, but it is worth the trip from wherever you are. The owner, Allison, makes sure the food is always top notch, delicious, varied, and just darn good! The staff is attentive and caring. The wine selection is also excellent. From special occasions to just wanting to go out to dinner, The Bistro should definitely be on your list!
Loved it! Food and service were five star all the way. Will be back!
I have been here many times and try something new and I’m never disappointed. The food is really good.
Came here at the strong recommendation of family members. Haven’t been out for a fine dining experience for several months due to Covid restrictions. We were greeted outside the restaurant and promptly escorted inside to our table. Our waitress greeted us quickly and made us feel welcome. What followed was a leisurely stroll through much of the menu. My wife, who is gluten, dairy and sugar free, still had a great meal. One criticism were the small portion on the lamb chops. Also, we sat in the porch area which has a nice view of the meadow. Unfortunately, the windows had not been washed in quite some time obscuring the view. All in all, a very nice evening.
The Bistro is a favorite of ours! They are doing a great job with safety protocols. It's always a little noisier than I like, but the food makes it worth it.
Nice place but a little pricey.
Great restaurant, great service, great atmosphere, well worth the drive.
Great food and service on a weekday night. Special touches for a milestone birthday in the family. Highly recommend!
