You don't have interesting history/architecture on your above list. Also the drive up there from our house is beautiful.
Food was very poor quality. Have eaten there many times and this was the only time the food was beyond poor. Guess they were too involved with preparing items early due to expected rush because of Father’s Day. Ordered almond French toast which was excellent I prior visits, but on Father’s Day it was so though you could hardly cut into it plus the taste was well below the quality of previous visits. Will not go back for holiday celebrations and will think twice about going back at all.
Such a warm and welcoming place, just right for a special couple’s evening. Food was wonderful and the historic building provided an ambiance unlike most restaurants. Live piano player.
Loved the rose petals scattered on table for anniversary.
They had a guy playing piano and he was wonderful!!
Our favorite place in town. The place was was pretty quiet when we visited on a Wednesday night. The wait staff was attentive and friendly. The appetizer of dumplings were very tasty. My wife had wild mushroom ravioli with tiger prawns and I had the seafood linguini. Both dishes were very rich and packed with flavour, however the shrimp in the seafood medley were overdone leading to a tough texture. This is the best restaurant in Evergreen for fine dining.
Dinner, wine and desert met our every expectation. The Bistro is an old favorite of ours.
Beautiful rustic cabin in the foothills. Food and service were outstanding!
The Bistro is one of my favorite restaurants. Charming environment and great food.
Service was a little slow at the beginning, the waitress was unavailable for about 10 minutes.
Really quaint went for my anniversary and the restaurant did not disappoint my girlfriend told all her friends about how great the restaurant was. Definitely would go back again.
We went to celebrate mother's day (Sunday) and had reservations at 6pm...we (party of 4) were seated in this little nook near the bar...it was quiet enough to hear ourselves, but not too quiet that we would have felt people could hear us. The staff was amazing, the food was WONDERFUL and I would definitely recommend to anyone who is celebrating a special occasion. It is on the higher end of the spectrum when it comes to price, but worth every penny!!! Can't wait to go back again!!!
Mother’s Day ...the Bistro knocked it out of the Park today. They were very busy but totally prepared. Food came out quickly and everything was delicious. As always they get 5 stars and always do a great job! Thank you for help make this a special day!
We've dined here over the years for special occasions and always found the service and food exemplary. The servers and chef take food allergies seriously and are very conscientious of them. I highly recommend this restaurant - you will not be disappointed.
We were pleasantly surprised! We had made reservations because it was Mother's Day, which can be chaos at many restaurants. They were busy and expecting a crowd, but we were seated as soon as we arrived. The food and service were excellent. Our table was in a great location. We plan to return for another delightful brunch!
We love this restaurant a little pricy but the food is awesome. Great place for a special occasion. The service can't be beat.
The Bistro delivers a consistent and friendly dining experience, piano music adds a nice flare.
Casey was outstanding and offered great recommendations! We will definitely return.
We have dined here numerous times in the past two years and consider this restaurant one of our favorites, BUT maybe Sunday evening is not the best time to visit. My husband and I both ordered the salmon but he wanted his on the rare side. Unfortunately both of our entrees were served rare and our waitress, "Syd", did not check back with us to see how our food was. Eventually my husband was able to get her attention. About 10 minutes later, a new entree was served. Again, it wasn't completely cooked. When I mentioned this, she didn't apologize OR offer us any discount. Not sure we will return any time soon. Such a bummer, because we considered this one of very few consistently good restaurants in Evergreen.
Always enjoy a visit to the Bistro. Food, service and atmosphere the best. Sat in the sunroom behind the bar, very quiet but still could here the piano!
I have been going to the Bistro for a number of years. I was a little concerned when I heard the ownership has changed but that is all that changed. Everything else is exactly the same, absolutely great food from a wonderful menu with a wine list that has good well priced options. Denver foodies should certainty try it. It has to be one of the best restaurants in Colorado.
Very pleased with the entire evening. Great food that willingly accommodated some special dietary needs. Service was excellent!
Loved the food and enjoyed the piano too.
We always enjoy Bistro at Marshdale. It's our little Evergreen hidden gem. We go for special occasions, as it is a little expensive and a treat. The food is always fantastic and the service great. The history of the old 1920's building is very interesting. It was my birthday and I chose to have my celebration here this week. It did not disappoint. Highly recommend.
Great option for Sunday brunch. Brunch menu with good variety and pricing great for brunch. We've also dined there for celebratory dinners and found the food to be excellent, service great and the location a nice short mountain drive up from the west Denver suburbs. Great food, lovely setting and reasonable prices.
Our server Beki was great! My parents were in town visiting and I wanted to take them out to a local place. They were blown away by the service, food and all around atmosphere. Definitely will be back!
Most certainly worth the drive for this hidden gem! Will be on our dinner rotation for sure
Great restaurant with a great staff and wonderful food. This was a crap shoot for us... I just wanted a new place up in the mountains for us to go for our anniversary and we got lucky with this place. Just all around excellence.
I am not from the area, but I flew up this week to propose to my girlfriend. I stumbled upon The Bistro as I was searching for the perfect romantic spot. I'm so glad I did. God is so good about guiding us to the right place for the right time. Mike, our waiter was amazing. He even had the bartender create a non-alcoholic "Champagne substitute" for us, which was a perfect fit for the Special Occasion. I'm so glad The Bistro will now be a permanent part of our love story together. We will definitely return to celebrate there in the future. It is a perfect combination of rustic and fine dining. It's quaint yet comfortable. It's classy and accessible. Beautiful inside and out.
This is one of favorite places. Consistently good food and drinks!
We have been dining at The Bistro for several years and even hosted our wedding reception there. It never disappoints and we love the staff who really takes care of us every time we come. Anyone we talk to who dines there has the same experience so I know it's not "just us". Dive in to multiple appetizers, have an entree and don't forget the dessert! It's ALL tasty and well prepared. A few of my favorites are the salmon and pot roast..to die for! The friendly owner is on site and the staff is so courteous and attentive. Best food in the Evergreen area!
Wonderful dining experience, a pleasure as always!
We love going to the Bistro. Food is always very good and everyone is very gracious.
This is the second time we have been to The Bistro. We have been pleased both times! This meal was an Easter Brunch with a special menu. The food was good and presented well and everyone in our group enjoyed their meal. Our service has been great both times as the servers were very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. We continue to have great dining experiences at The Bistro!
The servers were fantastic. The food and drinks were great.
As always we had a delightful experience with delicious food. We're from Seattle and come to Colorado to visit family. We always look forward to a convivial meal at the Bistro with some family members . The food is wonderful and we can catch up with each other in a pleasant atmosphere.
Seems like the las three times that we have gone to the Bistro that the food is just not as good as it used to be. It's charming, but while you used to able to count on tasty, it is not the case now. I had an appetizer and entre that were both without much flavor. While none of us talked about it, no one else said that their food was really good or great.
Steak tasted like beef jerky, was not even remotely edible.
We had an exceptional Sunday Brunch with family and celebrated two Birthdays. The staff was exceptional as well. Very professional and attentive. Could not ask for better food! Still thinking about the Aussie eggs benedict I had, wow!
