This is one of our favorite places in the Evergreen area. We love the ambiance and the food has always been good. We went there for the special Valentines dinner and it was fine. The restaurant was very busy so the service was a little slow, but we were not in a hurry so it was not a problem. The 3 course dinner was good, but a little over priced at $65 pp. I do have to admit that the pate appetizer was excellent. Everything else was just OK.

The Bistro is a great mountain restaurant that exudes the ambiance of a rustic mountain lodge. A large fire place kept the place comfortable with just a hint of wood smoke that added tremendously to the atmosphere. The food is fantastic though you won't get heavy sauces or spices. The gnocchi was delicious and a bit different. Made with ricotta, it didn't have the firmness of regular gnocchi but was still excellent. It was refreshing to actually taste my walleye instead of having it bathed in butter and lemon juice. The veggies were crisp and tasty with a hint of a lemon pepper coating. And the garlic mashed were creamy and delicious. Everything was balanced nicely. The wine list, while not huge, is excellent and has a wide variety from Oregon, CA, Italy, France and Spain. The value to food ratio I thought to be the best. It's an excellent meal but it wasn't overly expensive. I think it hit the sweet spot for us. Definitely a recommend for special occasions or if you just want an excellent meal.

Very pleasant ambiance, although the parking situation is really poor. Service was excellent. Food was pretty good, but I expected better for the cost. Overall, it was a pleasant evening and fine for my wife's birthday.

Service was amazing as well as the ambiance. Pork Chops and Filet were awesome but for $48 the filet could of been a couple ounces bigger. Top Sirloin was not bad. Thought that the Manhattan was overpriced at $10. Good experience overall.

The ambiance of the Bistro is special and unique. Combine that with the attention to detail in food and service and you have a real winner every single time! Whether for a special occasion, a more elegant dining option, or wonderful Sunday brunch spot, The Bistro gets my vote.

Food was generally good quality. I would not consider it worth the price, however. Atmosphere, though nice, was filled with VERY loud patrons. Seats near the far side will be hit by icy blasts of air every single time someone leaves the restaurant, which is NOT good.

Note - The menu online is NOT accurate to what is being served in the restaurant. Highly suggest you call and verify what is being served before going.

For the past 8 years, the Bistro at Marshdale is one of our very favorite dinner spots. The service is always outstanding (we had KC this night); food is exquisitely delicious; menu has many interesting choices; desserts never disappoint. The staff are friendly, remember their patrons' usual choices from one visit to the next and take time to chat a bit when time allows. The sound of a crackling fire adds to the ambiance. This is always our first choice when we have friends from out of town visiting with us. Highly recommended!

Happened to be there on the fourth Friday, Crab Night. That's what we had. I was rather shocked how well it was prepared and how good it was. Rare thing in the Rockies. We had it as part of a three coarse special they had going. We chose salads as round one. Arugula pear salad was perfect, Cesar was a bit too heavy on anchovies. Crab with roasted potatoes was amazing. Dessert was amazing chocolate mouse and not very impressive souffle.
Overall, This was a wonderful experience. Diners on either side of us getting different meals were also highly impressed. Chef did an excellent job.
The most impressive part of the night was our server, Christina. She was spot on even as the place became packed. Could not have been better.
Thank you for a wonderful date night.

We loved this place and will return. We thought the service was wonderful! The building is 100 years old and as charming as can be with a warm fire that can be enjoyed on a cold winter night. The menu has a big enough variety that anyone would find something that suits them perfectly well.

One of the few really good restaurants in the Evergreen area. The Bistro and Willow Creek are the top two in the area and all the other places are a pretty distant second. What you get at The Bistro is 1923 log building ambiance, wood burning fire place, and general mountain charm with a unique and tasty food and drink menu. It's not a 5-star restaurant as compared to the finer restaurants in Boulder or Colorado Springs like Frasca or The Penrose Room but, then again, neither is anywhere else. These folks do rate a solid 4-star though and I'm a pretty picky critic. If you're in the area or are looking for a unique place for a special occasion, you need to give them a try.

The Bistro never disappoints. This is the second year in a row that we've gone there for our Anniversary. The food is something to savor, the ambiance is lovely with the fire burning in the massive fire place. The drink menu is extensive - my husband loved that they had his favorite craft beer and I had a nice glass of wine. Oh plus we happened to be there for the special 5280 price! Bonus!

We love this place and have been enjoying for years, the food is great the atmosphere is fantastic and the service has been exceptional until our last meal . We had a server "KC" who came off this side of rude, was not particularly helpful or friendly, this unfortunately detracted from our over all experience. with that said we will return, but will not want the server that we had ever again.

Food was wonderful! But our table was very poor. I’m thinking it was because we were a reservation for 3 people. The table was not in the dining area, but in the bar area tucked into a back area where we could here drinks being made at the bar. The table was separated from the back bar and stairs going up by only curtains. It was not a nice ambience at all. I will definitely eat here again but will absolutely make sure to request to NOT sit at this table.

Impressive performance on a busy New Year's Eve! Several options for appetizers, mains, and dessert on a prix fixe menu. Many staff were on hand to handle the busy night, and service was excellent. Three out of four of us had the 8-ounce filet mignon, and all were cooked perfectly to the requested temperature and were very tender and flavorful. Loved the rosemary oven-baked potatoes and accompanying veggies, and the chocolate mousse was out of this world! A great choice for a holiday meal or other special occasion.

The wait staff was very attentive, the food was delicious, the seating was a little tight and parking was a bit of an obstacle. My husband has a handicap parking permit, but we couldn’t find any handicap parking. So it was a bit of a challenge to find a spot after I dropped him off. Overall it was a very pleasant experience .

My wife and I were very pleased to have a table next to the fireplace on a cold December evening. Both our crab legs and top sirloin were perfect. We know some of the history of the facility, going back to the early part of the last century, so the experience was quite a feast for the senses.
