This was our first time at tag, but we loved it and will be sure to go again.
Delicious, excellent service and highly recommend the counter seats.
Outstanding service and food as usual. It is a little expensive but I see the value in the quality of the ingredients used so it's worth it for a nice date or special occasion.
Great flexibility with unique menu for those who have special diets like gluten free. We shared several dishes and every one of them was absolutely delicious!!! Best restaurant ever for service and good food!!
Delicious food. Great wine list. Fantastic server Beth. Great ambiance. Highly recommend. We went after the theatre matinee and we're delighted with our first experience at TAG. Will be back soon.
It was nice and the food was great!
Everything was excellent with the exception of the loudness of the couple sitting next to us. It was a slow week night and we were seated next to another couple who were difficult to ignore.
TAG has been and continues to be one of the best restaurants in Denver. The once dramatically new and different but now familiar dishes just seem to get better and better. And there's the new stuff - wow! The staff, presentation, and ambiance round out a wonderful meal every time.
Everything was cooked/seared to perfection. Probably the best scallops I’ve ever had. John James and your entire staff was/were passionate about the food and this passion was very contagious. Well done!
Great hangar steak! Kobe sliders and tuna rolls were meh.
They went above and beyond to accommodate our seating request and we had a lovely meal.
Always exciting dishes! Near perfect!
Just amazing. Beginning to end!
Always a great experience!!
We enjoyed a nice dinner before heading to the Buell Theater. The seafood potsticker app was delicious, as was the autumn salad. Our entrees were fine. However, the lamb entree was quite small.
Great atmosphere. Excellent food and presentation. Our server was friendly, attentive and professional. Would definitely recommend and return.
We went back for the pop rocks sushi, such a fun dish and all dishes were terrific.
Great service too!
Very good food, drinks, service. All around very classy and good!
The food and beverage were excellent. Unfortunately our waiter was not engaging at all and generally seemed disgruntled.
TAG was fabulous! We wanted to share small plates and the waiter recommended items for us. Everything was incredible. We loved the hamachi, butterfish and burrata. The wait staff was attentive and helpful. We will be back!
Second time at Tag. It was even better than the first time. Great place to go before a theatre. We will go there again. The seafood items were especially good.
Fred and Tim took very good care of us
Food was amazing, but the noise level was annoying. Too back such a fantastic place for food has to be so loud that you have to yell to be heard across the table.
Decided to take advantage of their Veterans Day dinner offer. Wonderful evening out on the town. Great food , service, ambience, and value.
TAG is a gem—one of the best restaurants around. You'll daydream about what you ate there.
Awesome experience and ambiance. The electronic music is perfection.
We have been to Tag several times and have always enjoyed it. This time was disappointing. I had a terrible cocktail, watered down and lacking any flavor. Our waiter seemed to want to get us in and out as quickly as possible. The food was good but we ordered an appetizer and entree that were almost identical. Our own fault, but it might have been nice of our waiter to warn us of that.
Slow service and the restaurant wasn’t even crowded. Planned on having two drinks but the bartenders were busy chatting with each other. Salty food.
TAG was fantastic! We went to Tag two nights in a row. The sushi was delicious and the cocktails were unique and fun. Tiffany and Joey were our servers and they were outstanding!
Great service - attentive w/o being intrusive. Excellent food and wine
One of the best meals I've had at a Denver restaurant. Can't wait to go back.
Taco sushi was amazing, the lamb t-bone was perfection. Our service was exceptional. Highly recommend! Oh, and they have an impressive wine selection...
Very accommodative to my wife’s allergies
Cocktails were a little disappointing. Service was polite but disorganized. It was apparent that the staff was very eager help once asked but we ended up waiting a long time for food. Our waiter was so busy that we were we overlooked numerous times.
Amazing service and delicious food! Great place for a fun night out!
Sat at the counter and watched meals prepped by staff which was fun. Scallops were cooked perfectly. Great dining experience.
TAG does an excellent job with Asian-influenced fish dishes. Prompt, attentive service. We ate before a 7:30 show at the DCPA and they got us out right on time. Our waiter was friendly and helpful.
I ordered hanger steak, which was perfectly cooked--although the seafood dishes had more flavor. Did not much like the accompaniments with the steak which consisted of a few zuchini cubes and tiny French fries. Steak is so much better in the company of plentiful vegetables like sauteed mushrooms, spinach, heirloom tomatoes--something to cut all that richness. But TAG is certainly not alone in serving steak on a plate that's largely bare. I would go again--and order fish!
If you want a special dinner prepared by one of the best Chefs in the state, there's only one place to go: Tag. Worthy of Michelin Stars. For a truly spectacular meal, let the head Chef decide what you will eat (requires special notice). Forget the steak houses, Tag is the best foodie experience in Colorado.
Food presentation was excellent. Taste was flat.... best starter item was the brussel sprouts, the ahi tacos had no flavor and the special cod roll tasted fishy. Sea Bass entree had good flavor but the scallops were inconsistent, 4 large scallops, first two were overcooked and tough, third was great, forth one was in between - not much flavor overall in the entree.
Wine was good.
Service was just okay; felt a bit pushed/rushed, we were a group of friends getting together after a couple of years not seeing each other in person so we were not in a hurry and while the server said i am just here to facilitate your experience it felt a bit like he wanted to turn the table.
It was our first visit to TAG and we anticipated a really great dining experience. We had 4 in the party and together ordered 9 starters and 3 entrees. Together we probably tasted 80% of the menu. The entrees were excellent--really special, perfectly cooked/presented/seasoned. The one disappointing item was that the Black Cod entree was identical to the Butterfish starter, only a larger portion of fish and edamame. Now, I knew that both were black cod but I thought they would be presented differently. I wish our server had thought to mention this, so I could have tried one of the other entrees. Across the board, the starters were less stellar. The sushi rolls were good but not as good as you'd get at an equivalently rated sushi restaurant, and every other starter was just a little short of being excellent. Many were ever so slightly under-seasoned--just enough that the dish was good but not spot-on. And, for all the hype and pricing, I expected spot-on throughout the meal. We were there for 2 hours, and the music was very loud the entire time. In addition to the starters and entrees, we enjoyed 3 desserts (again, they were good but not outstanding), and 6 drinks in total. Our meal totaled $380. We enjoyed it, but we probably won't choose TAG for another special occasion. Rather, I'd be happy to go there for a quite bite (entree only) before or after a show.
We have been to TAG many times and are always impressed by the service and inventive dishes (hamachi with pop rocks!) coupled with old standbys (butterfish has been on the menu for years and it still shines). This was the first time that we sat at the counter, which was a wonderful experience. I appreciated seeing first-hand the well-oiled machine of a kitchen that makes this restaurant one of the best in Denver.
