- AAnthonyHawaii •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoWe had a fabulous dinner at Jackie Rey’s — the food was absolutely ono and full of flavor. Everything we ordered was on point, fresh, and beautifully prepared. The service was excellent from start to finish. Our waitress was not only very polite and friendly, but also extremely knowledgeable about the menu and helped us choose the perfect dishes. The atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed, making it a perfect evening. Highly recommend — we’ll definitely be back!More infoJackie Rey's Kailua-KonaPrice: Expensive• American• Kailua-Kona•4.6

- BBrian2 reviews5.0Dined on Apr 27, 2025I had the 8 oz. Filet Mignon cooked medium rare. It cuts like butter and very tender. It came with 4 shishito peppers. Sides are extra, and so I had a mixture of mushrooms. I had 2 unagi nigiri to start with and these were delicious.More infoKenichi PacificPrice: Expensive• Sushi• Kailua-Kona•4.2

Discover Keauhou
Not surprisingly, Keauhou island's way of life is reflected in the local dining scene. Tropical cooking, including barbecue and fruity desserts, has a definite presence here. The island experience isn't complete without the Hawaiian plate lunch, a traditional combination of meat or fish, a scoop of macaroni salad and two scoops of white rice. The plate lunch is deliciously comforting but definitely carb-loaded, while poke offers a healthier approach to classic Hawaiian eating. This raw fish salad is a fresh blend of marinated flavors. Much of the island's cooking involves the fusion of Hawaiian with Japanese, Thai and other Asian influences here. In this beachy area, outdoor dining is commonplace and often made better with live musical performances.
