- RRichardLondon •3 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoEverything about the Globe is first class. The history and ambience set the scene for your dining experience. The staff are engaging, knowledgeable and maintain a perfect pace, between courses, to allow diners to enjoy the menu fully. There is an excellent choice of beers, wines and cocktails. The food is fantastic. Great balance, presentation and taste. A testament to the artistry of the chef and his team. Take time to visit the back rooms, original kitchen and bar, to fully appreciate the history and imagine Rabbie Burns writing some of his poetry in the corner. Highly recommended and we will be back.More infoThe Globe InnPrice: Very Expensive• British• Dumfries•4.9

- CChristopherInverness / Scottish Highlands •2 reviews5.0Dined on Apr 11, 2025We made a booking for 17.15 and were seated in the middle of the restaurant but our social anxiety was gonna be a big problem so we asked to move and was promptly then we ordered drinks quickly and I got an espresso martini which was nice and smooth then ordered shortly after and we got this gorgeous smoked trout which worked quite well after that we had the chicken Kiev which was great especially the breadcrumbs and the Fish dish had. Crispy skin on top and a soft and delicate meat underneath and paired with a nice sauce Throughout we had great, quick, efficient service which has been rare in our trip thanks to Reagan and her teamMore infoThe Back Street RestaurantPrice: Moderate• British• Dumfries•4.7
