   Everything about the Globe is first class. The history and ambience set the scene for your dining experience. The staff are engaging, knowledgeable and maintain a perfect pace, between courses, to allow diners to enjoy the menu fully. There is an excellent choice of beers, wines and cocktails. The food is fantastic. Great balance, presentation and taste. A testament to the artistry of the chef and his team. Take time to visit the back rooms, original kitchen and bar, to fully appreciate the history and imagine Rabbie Burns writing some of his poetry in the corner. Highly recommended and we will be back.

   The sweet courses were too sweet tbh, and I found it frustrating that we were left alone around the time our bill was going to be needed… i had to search around the pub and call out to eventually find someone.

   A simply stunning tasting menu from the team at 1610. Up there with the very best I've eaten. I've frequented some great restaurants over the years even up to 3 star Michelin standard, and this place is up there with the best of them. Each course of the tasting menu was beautifully prepared, presented and very well balanced.The flavours were delicious. The staff are efficient and very friendly and engaging. The restaurant itself is atmospheric and has a beautiful old world charm, which is in line with its close and historical links to Robert Burns. The only thing I would change is music. Both times I have been in, it's been piano music on loop which I feel doesn't fit the surroundings. I would suggest some modern Scottish songs or even contemporary Burns songs ie Eddie Reader singing Burns

   Exceptional and exquisite food, excellent front of house staff, wonderful setting. I highly recommend and will 100% return! 10🌟 for allowing me to bring my wee pup 🐶 One of the best!

   We had dinner to celebrate the visit of a family member. The meal - and the occasion - were excellent and we would be delighted to visit again for a similar occasion.

   Lovely staff in a characterful building. Had the 7 course taster menu and could it fault it. There for over 3 hours and really enjoyed it. We will be back.

   Brilliant to be able to enjoy a beautiful meal in the Globe. However Burns’ room was locked so not able to see inside despite that being the main reason why we wanted to go there. Discovered the next day that they are breaking rules set out by the trust that owns the building by doing so. Poor given the importance of the Globe and draw for visitors to the town. Will head back at some point just to see inside Burns’ room - only disappointing element of a lovely meal.

   Fabulous experience at The Globe Inn. A taste explosion! Super food and yummy cocktails. Excellent service and description of the fare. We will definitely revisit when in the area.

    3rd time weve eaten here. Never fails to impress us with its high quality food, beautifully put together. we also had the wine flight. It complemented the food brilliantly
