My boyfriend and I loved the atmosphere and the black bottom pie! We had a great time.
Food was not very good and service was mediocre.
The food at the Ship’s Tavern was excellent. The choices were diverse and we were not disappointed in one item that we were served. Additionally, our waiter went out of his way to take care of us during our visit. He was phenomenal. Great place for food and/or drinks.
Fantastic service. Menu is a little limited. We weren't in the mood for sandwiches, which comprises most of the "mains" menu. Had the trout and chips and Cheese steak. Portions are generous! Out of this world fries and chips.
There wasn’t that much on the menu for an actual dinner. It was pricey bar food and the bar only made a certain kinds of cocktails, none were what I actually wanted. The food sides were potatoes and seasoned charred vegetables. It wasn’t the standard I’m used to receiving from the brown palace. Over all disappointing
Service was great and atmosphere the best.
Wedding anniversary
Decent food, took forever to get drinks. It took almost 20 minutes after we ordered the first round. Whisky is overpriced for no reason. No music, or very low. Would be nice to have music or literally any sound. Wine was good.
Service was horrible.
It was freezing in the restaurant. Everyone had to wear their coats. Service was awful. 25 minutes to get our drinks, an hour and 15 minutes to get food.
Waited over 30 mins for a reservation for 7:30. Server was very friendly, but had too many tables. Never asked if we wanted additional drink orders.
Water refills were spot on. Never had a empty glass the whole time!
Food was excellent, though the risotto was slightly under cooked.
Dustin will be the reason we come back. Extremely professional and knowledgable and personable. We do love the Tavern for sentimental reasons, but now we love it because of Dustin.
Reservations were required, not a big deal. The service was slow and the value was not even close to appropriate for the quality if food. Mid range bar food at best with a cost of a 4 star restaurant. Avoid if you can.
Awesome food good service great value will recommend to my friends
It is a great place to take that special someone, with out the high cost. We loved it from the time we were seated until we left.
It was absolutely amazing and beautiful. The live piano performance was incredible!
Very limited menu from their ordinary menu. That was only disappointment as the staff and ambiance continue to maintain the class associated with the Brown Palace
Poor service at the Brown Palace. Shouldn’t have gone back, poor service has been constant here recently.
Great service. Food excellent. Good times. Great way to spend an evening
We went for our anniversary. We ordered the crab cake and claim chowder for appetizers with Chicken Marsala for the main course, which my wife and I shared. It was an enormous lot of food. No complaints there. Love the Old Fashion! Great vibe and great atmosphere
Excellant food and service. We enjoyed every moment.
Great food! Delicious cocktails! Service was fast and friendly. Social distancing being followed.
Clam chowder was defiantly on the Menu.... we did wait for the soup to be ready.... was still cooking.
Needed at lease another hour...
Frank makes dinner here magic! Great Cesar Salad, and I mean great!! Followed by a wonderful Chicken Marsala! Wonderful dinner, delicious food and the world’s best server!
It was a very pleasant experience. The food was good the drinks were excellent and the service was outstanding.
Great food and Drinks Very clean and great service. The Prime Rib was one of the best I've ever had!
I really enjoyed the ambiance of the place and the local history. I did not like how expensive the undercooked food is.....
Frank our waiter was very personable and friendly and made our dinner more special.
The soft pretzel with cheese and the macaroons were as wonderful as I remembered both from years prior.
The Covid situation makes it challenging for restaurants right now and keeping that in mind the four of us enjoyed our dinner and evening. Thank you Frank.
We had the prime rib, it’s only served on Friday and Saturday, it was very good. The service and atmosphere were great. The baked potato comes with all the toppings, if you ask for them. The flourless chocolate cake was wonderful. The house old fashioned was also very good. Great experience and we are going back today for a Bloody Mary severed with bacon.
Noise level higher than we like, but we were on a couples date and would have gone to a quieter place if circumstances were different.
Prime rib meal was good, but everything on the plate had cooled off some before we got it.
Wouldn't recommend for anything romantic, though there is piano playing sometimes, but for other situations this place is good.
I would give a zero if possible. Absolutely the most pathetic excuse for a meal I have I have ever had in what is supposed to be a high end restaurant. The serving of prime rib was so thin you could virtually see through it. I found out it was actually 6 ounces. $45. 6 ounce prime rib. To add insult to injury, everything was cold. The baked potato too cold to melt the butter, the vegetables not a hint, And the “prime rib” not even warm. Awful does not describe this place. You could not pay me to go back.
Nothing great to say about this bar. Did appetizers and drinks and everything was nothing special. Would not go back.
Great food and nice ambiance.
The reservation stated an anniversary for our guests. We thought sure they would be given a free and s sumptuous dessert. Nothing not even an acknowledgement of the special event. This was very disappointing.
Great experience, food was wonderful & so was the staff, would recommend!
Sorry to have missed the prime rib - it’s the best! However our entrees were very good as were the drinks!
Fantastic place to grab a drink and appetizer. My wife and I really enjoyed the piano player and the ambiance of the place. Highly recommend the cheese platter and wine.
They definitely need to approve their food menu. The price that I paid for the uncooked chicken wasn't worth it at all. I got the shrimp skewers, and it was old, not fresh, tasted, and smelled like it was spoiled! The place is very nice on the inside but cold and could use some new heating system! Overall, I was very discontinued with everything except the server because he was very nice!
The prime rid dinner was delectable. I am just surprised the servers were not very attentive with 6 of them and only about 4 tables full of people. The service was not bad, but we could have used a drink check in and we were not offered the traditional bread when dining her.
Great place for quiet dinner and comfort food and a drink or two.
