Food and service were excellent as usual. Ellie is a great waitress. The radio speaker was a little loud where I was sitting, but I still enjoyed the meal with my friends.

Terre Haute Brewing Company erected our beautiful Victorian Stables building in 1890. The building actually housed Clydesdale, Belgian and various other draft horses that delivered beer for the brewery. For private groups, the rear two-thirds of the upper level is our grand banquet hall. The room seats groups from 30-100. Lavish buffets or sit down meals for business dinners and programs, family gatherings, wedding receptions, rehearsal dinners, and holiday parties. At Stables Steakhouse we want you to sit back and relax. Take in the surroundings and enjoy the finer things in life...a big steak, a great bottle of wine, and warm hospitality!

This was our third anniversary and we have been here a few times. The service is always great and the food is excellent. We were offered a complimentary prosecco for a toast and free desert. We have enjoyed Stables and will continue to reserve there.

Shorty's Executive Head Chef James Morrow has created & curated our menu over 10 years, carefully straddling the line of fine steakhouse dining, with small-town Indiana fare.

We are located in Garrett, Indiana, 10 minutes from the historic Auburn downtown and the ACD museum. Also, 20 minutes north of Fort Wayne, Indiana, 15 minutes from Kendallville, Indiana and 25 minutes south of Angola, Indiana. We love that we bring all these communities together at Shorty's.

We visit Shorty's every year for our anniversary. I ordered the filet, medium, blackened and blue cheese. Best it has ever been. Our server was fast and entertaining. We will be back!

Wonderful dinner. I ate at a local famous steak house in Indianapolis earlier this week and the steak I had today was much better. Only down side was the 300$ bill for 2 people. We enjoy ourselves and got a bottle of wine. I will come here again.
