The name of the restaurant is a game of words that comes from combining "Ho", from home and "mún", for common ("común" in Spanish). In this way, Homún is obtained, a composition that reflects the philosophy of the place as a common space where everyone meets to enjoy delicious food, delicious drinks and a relaxed atmosphere that will make you live an exceptional experience.
Chef Mario Borja seeks through his "free cuisine" to express a culinary format that is based on the simple fact of cooking what we like to eat, without pretension, respecting the balance of flavors, the good execution of the technique and the fresh seasonal product.
The menu is composed of options with local seafood such as the catch of the day, grilled octopus, tuna ceviche to grilled steak such as NY, Neapolitan pizza, tacos and a wide variety of appetizers that will complement the table and the snacking with your favorite wine.

During the low season (from July 23rd to October 13th), we operate with 2 service times: 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM, and we close at 4:00 PM.

High season hours (starting October 15th) will be 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, and 3:00 PM, with closing time at 5:00 PM.

To make a reservation, the system requires a non-refundable prepayment of $120 pesos per person for round-trip boat transportation. This amount is not refundable in case of cancellations or no-shows. If you hike in or arrive by your own boat, this payment will serve as a deposit and will be deducted from your bill on the day of your visit.

Please note; our weather and waves can change on a moment's notice. We may have to cancel the water taxi and close the restaurant if the waves are too high. This only happens occasionally but if we do you will receive a text on the phone number you leave with open table.

This is one of our favorite restaurant experiences in the world. Every time we come to Puerto Vallarta, we come to Ocean Grill. The only way to get here is by boat. The views are spectacular (especially from the bathroom!) and the drinks and food are fresh and delicious. One of the best meals you’ll have in PV. Do not skip it! It’s a meal to remember.
