True to its name, the Chef’s Table feels gloriously indulgent, inviting lucky diners on a hedonistic journey encapsulating Antonio Pérez’s life in Puerto Rico and his culinary career across South America, Europe, and Asia. The setting feels intimate and wildly special, with just 12 seats surrounding the open kitchen, complemented by a lounge area for a welcome cava before dinner or a post-tasting menu digestif. The themed-driven five-course menu changes monthly along with its wine pairing.
This is not merely another dining experience; it’s an intimate journey through the heart and soul of a Puerto Rican cook and his global culinary influences. Do not reserve a number of diners higher than desired, in our kitchen everything is prepared for all confirmed reservations, as such, we will regard it as a no show who has failed to comply with the reservation. Wonderfully fresh and tasty menu. Cocktails were good too. If you're at a resort and you want a great meal go too the Brasserie with fresh fish from their boats and vegetables from their garden!

My wife and I live on St. Thomas. Island View Steakhouse is an Island standout!. It offers a wide range of unforgettably good food, from pizza to steak, in a quiet, casually elegant setting. The owner/chef Marshall Bishop has traveled extensively, and honed his professional skills as sous-chef at New York City's, Michelin 3 starred Per Se. This has enabled him to provide a unique dining experience on St. Thomas. Justifiably proud of his creations, he visits each table, and explains the dishes. My wife and I had the same things. We started with the Beets and Burrata Salad, which looked as good as it tasted. We followed it with the very flavorful, crispy, crunchy Filipino Lumpia Shanghai. (The Chef's gracious Filipino wife, Libby, is due some credit for this dish, I suspect.) Medium-rare Kobe beef steaks ($198 is a reasonable price for a 5oz portion of this prized, hard to find beef variety) were the highlight of the meal. They were attractively plated with sides that nicely complemented the steaks, which we paired with a good Cabernet Sauvignon. Though stuffed, I had to at least try the cheese cake filled, chocolate covered donut. My wife who protested that she didn't want any, after a taste of mine, ended up eating half. The service was warm, and attentive, but unobtrusive. Three days later, we're still talking about the evening. The restaurant is not all high-end, by the way. The table next to our's was having one of it's signature pizzas. The aroma was so tantalizing, that's what we're having at our next visit.
