   The food is amazing! The service, superb. Our waiter, Fabrizio, was incredibly attentive and welcoming. He also knows his wine! Our only comment is that the atmosphere seemed cold and a bit clinical and the music play list was odd. When I think of French cuisine, I think of warm, cozy spaces with crackling fires, flickering candles and soft music. This restaurant lacks that ambience and it was noticeable on a cold, windy night. The food made up for it though! It was absolutely delicious.

   We thoroughly enjoyed the chef’s tasting menu. The staff were attentive without hovering, formal but not stuffy. They were helpful with wine pairings and menu descriptions. While the tasting menu is not inexpensive, I would put it on par with restaurants of a similar caliber. All in all a lovely evening we will definitely be back.

   Found the tartar to be vinegary and when I commented on the bun for the hamburger which I thought was stale we were told by the chef that it a dense style of bun, the bun crumbled when I tried to pickup the burger to eat it, it was really to bad as I was planning on having a Christmas dinner there this month. Not no more! Glad we went there to try the food prior to setting a reservation. On a positive our server was very good and friendly, a shame about the food :(

    A family 60th birthday event. The food and service were excellent including accommodating a couple of people with food allergies. The staff at the Rouge are very professional and take such good care of guests. Everyone enjoyed their food which was well prepared and presented.

    Our lunch at Rouge was one of the most delicious meals that I have had in a long time. Starting with the incredible home made bread and butter, on to the amazing steak tartar and finishing with duck confit that melted in my mouth. Unfortunately we had no room for dessert! Can't wait to visit again!

    Chef's tasting menu was poor value, many components of multiple dishes were not harmonious. When the cheese course is the best course, you know there's a problem! Too many something-and-bread courses. While execution of the dishes was mostly acceptable (except for the short rib/pasta), the flavours were not appealing and too little texture was present from beginning to end. The foie gras dish was mushy and boring with too much of a similar tart component (jelly and some other unidentifiable thing on the plate) and the main was very skimpy on meat. The dessert was an afterthought and better not served. Service was fine. Would not return based on food alone.

    We went for our first wedding anniversary. The service was good, food was amazing, and it was nice eating in a heritage house with plenty of history. The food presentation and quality was very well done.

    Great evening with delicious food and great service! Hadn’t been Rouge for a few years and it is brighter and such a beautiful location. They were easily able to cater to a Celiac member of the party including bread and butter at the beginning of the meal.

    My wife and I got married at Rouge one year ago today, and we came back to celebrate. We ordered the 6 course dinner and were impressed with each course. Great service, ambience and flavour.

    It is a wonderful restaurant. The food was amazing, the service was superb as well. I thought the ambiance was quiet, perhaps too quiet, as this is an old house and the tables are scattered over several of the original rooms. But it is a beautiful house and a most wonderful restaurant. Highly recommended.

    Date night with my lady. First time at Rouge and I would recommend it to all. Fresh food, vegetables grown in their own garden. Chef trying no combinations. Amazing and the staff know their menu and wine listing.

    The Hor's D'oevres were very good. The lamb dish was not up to an expected standard for the cost. Limited number of small morsels. The menu could be more extensive...chicken option would be nice. Your entrance to the restaurant needs some work.

    Knowledgeable friendly server who spent just the right amount of time with us. The food here is beautiful - to look at and to eat. The palette teasers from the kitchen were amazing and those caramels at the end!!!!! Wow! Well done, Rouge! Until next time.

    Amazing formal dining experience. This is my favourite restaurant for celebrations and taking out business colleagues when they are in town. The food is incomparable to anything else I have had, Chef's skill with preparation takes even dishes I do not like and turns them into unbeatable experiences.

    Lovely location for a special lunch. Service very attentive. Found the food a bit salty- May have been the cheese on the mushroom toast and the gnocchi dish. Shrimp was very good , loved the fennel in it. Free Parking hard to find- paid for street parking.
