Prosciutto and burrata
The food was excellent as always, their sauces really make the meal. The service was great, the waiter took the time to explain the sourcing of some of the dishes. The burrata and prosciutto appetizer was excellent.
Always a wonderful experience here...food was wonderful and service was superior. Leonardo was a joy! We will certainly return. Highly recommend this restaurant.
We were at the Portofino restaurant 3 years ago and loved it. We were visiting family in Denver and had to go to the Denver restaurant, it did not disappoint!
Great little italian spot! My husband and I went with some friends and sat in front of the kitchen window and the big parmesan wheel. It was so fun being able to watch all the action. The Gemelli pasta in the parm wheel is a must have! I hope to back soon.
We sat at the hi top table near the door; great seats in the house- away from the bustle of the kitchen and near the cozy rock wall. Great ambiance!
The menu and quality of food at Lo Stella still hasn't quite revived back to its pre-COVID shutdown standard but it's getting there.
Fabulous food and impeccable service, actually felt like we were in Italy! Clams and Spaghetti was amazing.
It always feels like a special occasion at Lo Stella! Fabulous food, atmosphere and service. The staff always make you feel like you are the most important guest in the room!
Every course and dish were very good, and we are discerning! Our waiter made a great recommendation on the wine. Nice ambience in a smaller, quaint restaurant with quality service and food.
The food, restaurant and staff never disappoint...
So happy to get to Lo Stella again. We haven't been there since Covid started because we usually combine a dinner at Lo Stella with a performance at Curious Theatre. Some things have changed since our last visit, but the menu and food quality has remained the same: Outstanding! We started with an excellent Prosciutto di Parma both were delicious. Our wine choices (Valpolicella & Tascante) were reasonably priced and matched the entries well. No time for dessert. We had not met Brian, our server, before, but he took excellent care of us - very friendly and helpful. We look forward to getting back to normal.
On a Saturday night they ran out of their salmon entrees! Two at our table ordered the dish after seeing 2 come out only to be told they are out at 630! Disappointing
We've been to Lo Stella a number of times and have never been disappointed. The food and drink are excellent. We split a Caprese salad, which was just right for two. I had the taglierini with shrimps and zucchini in a saffron sauce, she had the chicken scaloppina in marsala sauce topped with prosciutto crudo and fontina cheese. Both were great. Best of all, though, was the panna cotta for dessert. It was light, creamy, with perfect berry sauce over the top.
This is my go-to restaurant when I'm going to Curious theatre. Very warm, bustling and inviting place. My friend and I split the trout and pasta with Monk Fish. The trout was out of this world; the pasta dish was good but not as good as Lo Stella's Family recipe for Fish Ravioli. Only one complaint: our drinks were skimpy. Maybe, three sips, max.
Delicious homemade pastas, great atmosphere and wonderful service. I wish I lived next door.
We have enjoyed Lo Stella over the years but they appear to have serious staffing issues now
The service was impacted by having only two people on the floor and bar.
The food was also not up to par as in the past
First they should tell you when the streets are ALL blocked off. We has no idea how to get to the restaurant. When we finally found it, they do not have menus you have to use your phone. Which we did not bring. They had to tell us what was on the menu. The drinks were so weak you could not taste any booze. The wine pour was so small it was gone instantly. They did not have enough servers and everyone was running around trying to serve people. Awful. Food was good but no worth the trip.
We had not eaten at Lo Stella before. I was shocked at how good our dinners were. The tricolore salad was very good and plentiful. The pasta with clams was better than any I’ve ever had in the US (better than mine, too). It was delicious and the pasta was perfectly al dente. The fish ravioli (don’t let the name put you off) was really exceptional. The duck special was a knockout and cooked perfectly. We will return soon.
Excellent food and easy to get reservation!
We absolutely love this restaurant and everyone who works there. The food is so authentic and so delicious. I wish I could go there every night.
Great friendly service. Delicious food. Relaxed atmosphere.
Best Italian in denver, must go to and the Nonas Bolognese is a must try
The service was excellent. The steak our daughter offered was cooke perfectly. Our pastas were delicious too. The dessert as a real treat
Great service! Great food! For some reason, the interior reminds me of a sports bar, but I would go back bc of the food and service.
A bit pricey for the food, but otherwise well done
This is still our favorite Italian restaurant in Denver!
Very good food restaurant was a little noisy but the food made it well worth it.
Awesome place! Quaint, great service! Top notch food!
Delicious scallops, pancetta, pea puree appetizer as well as octupus. Pasta with zucchini (too much) and shrimp (too little), was tasty. Good menu, but wish there were a few more choices. I’ll be back!!
Great authentic food, casual atmosphere, and outstanding service.
Great location. Chill vibe
Friend moving and wanted to celebrate
Amazing meal and experience. Staff was awesome. Definitely old school Italian
I love Lo Stella! Love the vibe, the amazing food and the great service!!
Leo our waiter was charming and knowledgeable about the menu. Truly a gem in Denver
Great as always
The filet was so tender and perfectly cooked. Best I’ve ever had.
The service and food is always great here. The wine is also amazing!
This restaurant had good food but I was kind of stunned at the price for what it was. $20 for an appetizer of Caprese seemed a little ridiculous. The wine glass I got was dirty. I did not feel like our dinner was worth the value by the end of the night. A little disappointing when the dinner was a birthday gift for my boyfriend. All of that aside our waitress was really fantastic, she was warm, welcoming and attentive.
