Ristorante Lo Stella
At " Lo Stella" Ristorante you will find the original recipes from previous generations like Pesto sauce, Bolognese sauce, marinara, fish ravioli, vegetable ravioli, pappardelle, tagliatelle, pizza and a lot of Colorado meat and fish products cooked in our "ligurian" style.
Lo Stella Ristorante has also had 25 years of great success in Tokyo, Japan until 2013 when Alessandro decided to move to Denver to open this authentic Italian Restaurant.
Only complaint is that there was no pesto gnocchi :(
We will most certainly be back. The service and food quality cannot be beaten
Great atmosphere for a date night out. One of our dishes was great, but the walnut ravioli was very bland—couldn’t hardly eat it. Will definitely order differently if I ever return.
Reservation was lost, restaurant was out of multiple items by 7pm. The restaurant did comp a few after dinner drinks after we were told the ordered drinks and desert were no longer available.
Wished for a wonderful dining experience for Valentines Day and my wish was granted. Food/drinks were excellent and our waiter was charming and very helpful. Loved the ambiance and will visit again.
Very nice service and good food. One of our favorites.
What a charming wonderful place to go! Ugh I hate that I live in colorado springs I would be here all the time!!!!! Great history. 8th generation family. The know the business. Food, wine and ambience! Have something special to celebrate this Is your place!
Locally owned Italian restaurant. Wines by the glass are reasonably priced. We ordered the veal and daily special tagliatelle with octopus--the best ever!!! Service was great--Leonardo! Best tiramisu. LOVE this place. Such a gem.
Lo Stella never disappoints. They use the freshest ingredients which makes the salads exceptionally flavorful; the Insalata Tricolore is our favorite. Both of our pasta entrees were delicious: homemade tagliatelle and linguini with clams. Our waitress, Shay, was very friendly and attentive. Knowing we were on our way to the theater and had limited time, she nicely paced the timing between courses.
Great food and service. Good wine recommendations.
We love Lo Stella! Fabrizio and the rest always take good care of us. The food is excellent.
The evening started great being our first time in town and was excited for a nicer meal. Our server seemed to lose interest in us rather quickly however after being served and had to ask another waiter for the check. I watched as our waiter hung out by the bar talking to other customers and staff and even had a sip of wine. Being out of town and staying downtown I wouldn’t recommend this place. Plenty of other less expensive options give you so much more of an experience.
Not impressed at all. The caprese was disappointing. Nowhere near enough basil. And the tomatoes were cut way too thin. The mozzarella though was very good. Why not Troy I had a pizza. I had the mozzarella basil and cheese pizza. Again nowhere near enough basil, the sauce was bland. No fresh tomato taste at all. And I had two slices they didn’t have any mozzarella on it at all. Pizza was also way to thin and soggy.
We're season ticket holders at Curious Theatre and the restaurant choices near there are few and far between. Fortunately, we have Ristorante Lo Stella close by and a great choice for authentic, reasonably-priced Italian dining. I'm in a rut; I always order the Tagliatelle Bolognese and have never been disappointed. My wife usually orders seafood or chicken; however, this time she ordered the Lasagna and loved it. Maybe I'll try that next time, but I doubt it. Lo Stella serves an excellent bread, with tasty olive oil and balsamic to start with. We washed it all down with a very nice Nebbiolo; a perfect match for both meals. Service (Fabrizio) was great, so we finished our meals with enough time for desert. We ordered Semifreddo, which was fine, but next time we'll go back to the lemon cake, which is delicious. We both highly recommend Lo Stella to anyone seeking authentic Italian food, served in a very friendly, comfortable atmosphere.
The absolute best meal ever! Felt like we were back in Italy! Thank you Fabrizzio for making our evening 5 star!!
Wonderful service. They were out of basil- so no pesto, but had enough for caprese. Casual but nearly elegant atmosphere
They made my birthday an incredible day!
One of our favorite restaurants in Denver! Delicious pastas and wood fired pizza, and the wines by the glass are of high quality but reasonably priced.
Excellent Italian restaurant - great food and wine, pleasant atmosphere.
Always incredible -- awesome food, friendly and gracious service and cozy atmosphere!
Post museum visit, we went for dinner with my 82 year old mother. Everyone was fabulously accommodating, and the food was great!
Everything was excellent from the bread to the pasta to the steak. I went with friends and we all shared and everyone was pleased with all the dishes.
The food was completely mediocre for the price. Blah presentation of uninspired flavors for too much money. The drinks were good, though.
This is a wonderful restaurant and is always my first choice to bring out of town guests or to enjoy a dinner with a friend. The food is delicious, and the service is exceptional. Everyone is warmly greeted at the door and treated like a special guest or a favorite neighbor. There are usually 2 nightly specials on the menu, but it is hard for me to resist their tagliatelle della Nonna Laura with Bolognese sauce.
We always love this place. We live in the neighborhood. The food is always excellent, the wait staff friendly. The only complaint would be the noise level. But we will continue to enjoy the place!
This was my families first time to Ristorante Lo Stella. Wonderful food with the best home-made noodles. We loved their service especially with their recommends for Italian wines. My son loves all pasta dishes, but his favor part of the meal was the salad. We will definitely return. Easy parking and close to downtown. The bar table next to the window is a little cold on wintery days.
We are visiting from out of town and our hotel recommended this restaurant. We enjoyed our dinner as well as the wine. Ambience was pleasant, staff was knowledgeable. If we lived in Denver we would definitely return again and again.
The food was just OK, but the wine was very good.
Seated beside us was an elderly couple and he was particularly obnoxious -- loud and disrespectful of his wife.
Not a good value at all.
We won't be going back very soon.
Loved the Colorado bass stuffed ravioli and real saltibucco, desserts and octopus appetizer
Outstanding neighborhood option. Cozy, comfortable, friendly -- as the Germans say, sehr gemutlich!
Happy new year 🎆
The pasta was excellent.
We had a great night out with our family of 6 during the holidays. The service was top notch. We were offered a glass of bubbly when we had to wait just a few minutes for a reservation. The server was experienced and knew the menu and recommended just the right amount and selections for out family in order to try a variety of tastes. Success. We are making reservations for an evening with friends now! The ambience is warm and friendly. That sounds perfect for this upcoming cold weekend. Parking on the street is easy!
It never disappoints, truly outstanding all the time. I am a regular and their consistency is amazing.
Love this place! Perfect every time.
We love Lo Stella. Their food is amazing as is their service. We are always welcomed warmly like we are family. My son loves the Tagliatelle Bolognese and we have to get a second one to take home for him. Everything we have tried on the menu has been delicious. We highly recommend this restaurant.
Probably the best steak filet I have ever had. Husband has pasta Bolognese that was also delicious. First time visit but we will be back
Food was great and it’s a fun place to go w friends. They were full up and busy, and service suffered because of that. You’d hope they’d have a better plan for handling busy nights. Will go again for the food.
The food was great,as usual. We were blessed to have Fabrizio as our server. In addition to the wine we ordered he let us sample another variety as well as a complementary chocolate digestive. My wife and I love this place.
It's my to go spot! Amazing in all the ways. But you need to know what it is the real italian food.
Everyone and everything was holiday festive. Sooo much fun!
