I had to wait 30 mins additional for my reservation and another 30 minutes just for drinks. Our umbrella was never propped despite 4 people trying and then the ball dropped completely on the request. Our service was beyond slow in regards to attentiveness.

This was my first time at a restaurant after the end of the stay at home order. The Rio did an good job of separating people and had safety measures in place. I felt very comfortable. The expectation was that you need not wear a mask at your table but if you walked around a mask was suggested.

They did a good job of social distancing both when waiting for and dining at their tables. Service was fast and friendly and the atmosphere on the patio is always great!

Overall the experience was good. The only negative was management of the front door, although these days I'm sure a challenge. We went to the trouble of making a reservation. On arrival the front door is mostly blocked with a table with a sign "please wait to be seated". There's a gentleman inside at the front desk, but no one at the table outside. There were probably 30 people waiting outside, several at the table blocking the door. All of us at the front door had no idea what we were supposed to do. A young lady next to me bewildered said she was just waiting to put her name on the list. I finally just went in and told the front desk we had a reservation. We were seated almost immediately. You need to get more direction at the front door.....a person taking names, sorting walk in's from reservations. People are all unsure of what the rules are everywhere they go these days. It's up to establishments to make those clear.

It was a great first lunch back out in town after sheltering at home for so long! Rio Grande was the last place we went before staying at home and the first place we went to once things opened. Service was VERY slow from the bar and pretty slow from the kitchen, but we were happy to be back!
