Food was excellant, artic char was amazing - highly recommend! Also had mixed green salad (very fresh with a wonderful dressing) and salmon - not quite as good as the char but close. A baked apple dessert had good flavor but really needed to be baked about another 10 minutes. Good wine selection and great service.
It is a bit noisy with all of that hardscaping.
I enjoyed my meal and experience here, but I have a couple of minor complaints. The water was warm and although I made mention of this, I did not receive a glass of ice. More importantly, the soap in the bathroom was very perfumed. I washed twice once I got home trying to remove the offensive scent, but my hands still reeked of the smell.
We came during restaurant week where the menu was limited to the chef chosen items. It was a very good selection and the fixed price was a good value. The atmosphere is a little noisy and fairly casual, which doesn't line up as well with the general pricing. All in all we enjoyed our evening and our food.
Easy good quality food. Not many vegetation options.
It felt like they had an army of people refilling water and clearing plates, but we waited 20 minutes between when we ordered and getting our drinks. Then another 20 to order our food... then it seemed like it was 20 minutes between each course. The server dropped the dessert menu, then waited 15 minutes to come back and take the order. Our dinner was soooo long. I'd not have ordered three courses if I'd know how long it'd be between each one.
First time for Restaurant week, food and service both good.
We went for Denver Restaurant week and extremely pleased. The atmosphere is open and warm. Service was kind and informative. The courses were beautiful and flavorful. We couldn’t even finish it all there was so much food. I will definitely be going back. Amazing variety on cocktails and desserts too
We had a fantastic family birthday celebration during restaurant week! Food and service were outstanding.
The food was wonderful, as always. Service was much slower than on past visits.
Fresh, perfectly prepared and delicious food. One of the BEST lavendar martinis I've had.
The food was great and our server was very good - attentive without being overly so. The only negative was that the wine per glass was more expensive that most restaurants I've been to.
What a find! This meal was excellent from beginning to wand. We started with Brussels sprouts and pork belly. My husband had curried ono and I had herbed chicken with cannelloni beans. Everything was excellent. We even stayed for dessert. I have molten lava cake and he had carrot cake. The food was exceptional in every way. Our waitress was knowledgeable and helpful with the food choices. There was no wait on anything and it all arrived in excellent time. It was a very pleasant evening with good ambience. We’ll be returning for sure.
Excellent specials. The fish (Hawaiian Ono) was well prepared and presented.
Outstanding! Food excellent. Service attentive. Fun time.
Went here for Valentine's day. Everything was great--the appetizer, the salads, the entrees, and the desert--all excellent. It's one of our favorite restaurants, and it was even better than usual.
The place has great character, the food can be outstanding! I wish they would change the menu more frequently.
Riff's is a nice place. Happy hour menu both tasty and affordable. Red trout (presumably steelhead) very good, as was the Tuna Poke. Go enough and you'll learn your favorites, though all food was nice. Pearl street dining is always fun giving way to plenty places to hop to as one's mood dictates if you arrive early enough. I would recommend Riffs for dinner, happy hour or anytime the mood strikes.
Great lunch! This is a great restaurant that in my view does not get its full due. Always great food with staples that never disappoint.
Brussel spouts are maybe the best in town
Grilled avocado with pico and crab filling, yum. Fresh fish. I would recommend to any and all
The food was fabulous as always and our server Chris was fantastic!!!!
Always a have a great time at Riff's. Took an out of town guest and they want to come back to Riff's the next time they're in town!
Salmon was cooked perfectly. I'm not much of a fan of kale, which was used as a base under the salmon though. All four of use enjoyed the experience and food.
Love this place - consistently great food and reasonable price ! It’s our regular dinner out spot
Excellent staff, excellent dinner (Salmon and Brussel sprouts), great ambiance.
Awesome service and wonderful food! Ilona was super nice and knowledgeable about the menu. The drinks were perfectly crafted, and the grilled avocado was so good (and fun to eat). The salmon was cooked perfectly in our sandwiches, and the dessert specials were amazing. (The cherry brownie needs to promoted to the everyday menu!) The staff also congratulated us on our anniversary and gave us each a glass of champagne to celebrate!
Dinner was great. Whether sitting at the bar (great bartender by the way!) or at a table, service and food are wonderful. It has become my new go to place. Preparation, presentation always fabulous and I love that there are always specials from apps to dessert based upon seasonal foods.
Grilled avocado was amazing. Waitress was great as well!
The service was amazing and the food was fantastic - were going back tomorrow night !!!!
Terrific, as usual. I'm always amazed how many delicious ways they can fix mahi mahi.
Friendly fun service.
Really enjoyed the evening with our friends.
Another wonderful lunch at Riff's. Their Brussels sprouts should get a Nobel Prize for appetizers. I had butternut soup and an outstanding entree of mahi-mahi. My wife had some kind of heavenly linguine. Our server, Breanna, was outstanding, always there at just the right time -- she even remembered us from 6 weeks ago. As usual, the wine was Mont Redon, so good that I ordered a couple of cases last month. If I didn't live in Longmont, I'd eat at Riff's three times a week.
By far my favorite Boulder restaurant. Make sure to try the trout.
Riffs is a stalwart of the Boulder food scene. In my view, it's in the top ten of Boulder restaurants and always has been. What makes it even better is that its menu is priced slightly lower than other local "stars" like Oak, Black Cat, the Kitchen, and Salt. The Happy Hour menu is *really* a steal. I love the grilled avocado with crab pico de gallo (no longer on the HH menu), and the cocktails are creative & delicious. The wine list is relatively small but it's *very* well-curated so whatever glass or bottle you order will be at least good. The 2014 R. Sinskey "POV" Red Blend (only by the bottle) was truly outstanding.
Very friendly staff, great service, delicious dinner
Food and service both very good.
Great Boulder place. Farm to Table but reasonable costs.
Went for an Anniversary dinner. We were surprised with two glasses of champagne!
XMAS eve dinner. Place was slammed. Food and service was still perfect. Always is.
Surf and Swine special was off the charts.
Best birthday ever! The Kir Royale was wonderful!
