It was a wonderful brunch! The only disappointment was they were out of the quiche at 11:30 am even though the brunch went until 2pm. We will go back for sure!
We chose this restaurant for its proximity to the Performing Arts Center and because it appeared in some reviews of quiet eateries. The service was excellent and the food was outstanding. But the combination of diners' conversation and kitchen noise made this one of the loudest eateries I've ever experienced. Very challenging for my mother who wears hearing aids. Maybe this eatery is quiet during certain times, but Saturday night dinner is extremely loud.
While the filet mignon was great, my husband's salmon was extremely over cooked. It looked more like chicken. The lentils were dry and under seasoned. This restaurant is pretty expensive, and I expected a bit more than what we got.
Happy hour prices are good. The food is good we almost always get the bison meatloaf. Being close to the theater it is a nice place to go before a show.
We enjoyed dinner at the cafe before seeing Wicked. Service was a little slow
Wonderful brunch! Our server was great! Food was amazing as well! Will be back!
We went there for mother’s day. I had lobster Benedict, it was delicious and my husband ordered the trout. The seasoning on the trout was wonderful. Plus they had unlimited fruit, juice and pastry bar.
Perfect brunch! Mimosas were excellent. Food was excellent. Service was excellent.
It was an ok restaurant but nothing special. This was a celebration and I didn't feel like it was.
Great burgers and ribs. Excellent service. Good drinks
Not much fish flavor in the fish tacos!! Not sure what I was eating!!
Service was a little bit slow for a week day lunch time, but the restaurant was very busy (we were there at the peak lunch time) service was very professional, approachable and friendly. Food was good (some rusty pieces of lettuce on the ceasar salad, but easy to pick out) , I appreciate the lunch specials with smaller portions offered. Hostes was gracious enough to seat us toward the back in a more quiet area upon request.
I've been a return customer many times. the last 2 times I have been there, the food has been terrible!!! I will most likely not return.
Great for Pre Buell Theater dining. I also took advantage of the complimentary parking.
We were a table of 4 for a birthday dinner, and they sat us at a nice, bright table next to the 16th Street Mall. Upscale, lively, retro vibe. Everyone loved their dinners, and my shrimp scampi was the best I've ever had - perfectly cooked shrimp, and the linguine was light and flavorful. The flourless brownie sundae was overly-sweet for my taste, but the creme brulee was spot on. Excellent service. We'll be returning !
Made a reservation for 2pm because the website said brunch lasted until 230m. I knew arriving late so close to the end of brunch would mean less time for bottomless mimosas but I was willing to sacrifice that since our movie wasn't until 4 pm. But what ended up happening was the brunch menu shut down at 2pm, EVEN THOUGH THE WEBSITE SAID 230PM and bottomless mimosas shut down at 215. Again, EVEN THOUGH THE WEBSITE SAID 230. At the end of it all, we were finally seated and greeted by our waitress by 206. Even if she came back to us by 207 with our drinks, it woulda been $13 per person for 8 minutes of bottomless mimosas and our only food options were salad, soup, or sandwiches. No thank you. I was so looking forward to introducing my boyfriend to rialto cafe. I've been before and while their food isnt the greatest, the mimosa bar is why I recommend this place to friend. But if since the website doesnt include accurate information, I'll never recommend this place again.
We tried this restaurant because a local recommended it to us and we were definitely not disappointed! While looking at the menu, it doesn't seem like anything special but once you taste the food all those preconceived notions go away. Our server Stephen was excellent and made the experience so much better! We explained how we were traveling for work and how we make our Bloody Marys in Wisconsin – he then shared how he made his Bloody Marys from his home state and surprised us with a chaser of beer with our Bloody Marys (how it is done in Wisconsin). He definitely found a way to make the experience fun and personable.
The food was wonderful, however the service was not. We had theater tickets so we were on a bit of a schedule but felt we gave ourselves plenty of time. It took a long time for us to even get acknowledged, but eventually we were able to place our drink and appetizer order. When the app arrived the runner placed it on the table and was turning around to leave not noticing that we had no plates or settings. At this point we were getting a bit nervous about the time since we had not even placed our food order yet. We ended up flagging down our server to place the order. One of us ordered a dinner salad which was brought out to the wrong table and then taken back to the kitchen. We told our server about it but he said he was told we refused the salad so I explained that it wasn't us who refused it. The food arrived and was quite delicious but we felt like we had to scarf it down. Also, the menu said we were supposed to receive corn bread muffins with any entree which we never saw, but at this point I really didn't care. Even though the service was bad, I will return based on the fact that the food was outstanding and the hope that next time things go better.
If you are looking for an elegant special evening, this is NOT the place. Wait person was rushed and not very friendly. French onion soup tasted like broth came from a package and too salty. Salmon was good. Bison meatloaf of good. Key lime pie tasted like it was a frozen pie. Not good. I was grateful that we were seated at a table next to the window.
Great place, wonderful food, and so accommodating loved it
Great staff, had a reservation for 8, and everything was prepped. Waitstaff friendly and efficient, even when we asked for separate tickets! Happy hour menu was great value and lots of variety. Everyone who ordered an entree was stuffed and happy. Definately will return!
Great service, delicious food. The corn muffins were the best I've ever had. Prices are a little on the high side for what you get, but for the most part worth it. The service was spectacular. My only complaint is that the acoustics of the structure cause the main floor to very loud. You almost have to shout to be heard at your own table. Overall very good experience.
This is a good restaurant but we were EXTREMELY disappointed to learn that they are going to discontinue the prie fixe theatre menu with its discounted wine and free parking. We come from out of town to attend events at the Buell Theatre and for years have kicked off the evening with the theatre menu at the Rialto. It is the one thing which has set it apart from all the other restaurants in the vicinity of the theatre, not to mention being a good value. Now we will be looking for another pre-theatre tradition. So sad.
This place is consistently great! Our server Stephen was friendly and attentive. The prime rib sandwich was absolute perfection!
We had the bison meatloaf which was delicious - a true ‘comfort’ meal. The wine list had great selections at reasonable restaurant prices. Service was attentive but not intrusive.
It was slightly confusing to find since Google lists the front door address as the hotel front door address, I believe? But other than that, the meal was great! We showed up slightly earlier than anticipated and were seated immediately (with a reservation) . The happy hour was about to end, so our waitress made this abundantly clear and ensured that she got our order entered in time for us to receive the happy hour discounts. Despite being very busy, she was very friendly, warm, communicated clearly, and made the experience a memorable one. I believe her name was Maxcine - definitely one of the best experiences I've had with a wait staff member. In addition, the food was delicious and there was hardly a wait time! Do not pass up the Tower of Truffle Fries - the size fits the name and they are absolutely mouthwatering.
Loved the place! Steak and frites were absolutely delicious. Chicken pot pie was enormous with quite a bit puff pastry.
Rialto is a place you can count on. Rialto has been around for many years and is very dependable and predictable. It's a good place for business lunch with good food, not outstanding.
It all started with me being 3 minutes late to my reservation and getting a call from the place to see if we were still coming. I was literally across the street waiting for the light to turn so I could walk across 16th street. Maybe give at least 5-10 minutes before calling since parking is hard to find in the first place.
The service wasn’t good at all, I said I wanted one mimosa but ended up being charged for bottomless. I had questions about allergens in the pastry buffet but the servers response didn’t make me feel ok that I was able to eat it. She seemed unsure of her answer. I ordered the breakfast burrito which was huge but it was mostly eggs with a very little amount of other toppings like chorizo. I ended up picking out most of the eggs. The potatoes were delicious though!
I would try this place again but maybe for lunch or dinner, definitely not breakfast.
My husband and I really enjoyed our dinner at Rialto. Since we were going to the theater after dinner, our server suggested we take advantage of the 3-course special priced dinner. The entire meal was delicious! The house salad and homemade cornbread were tasty. I had the salmon which was tender and flavorful. My husband loved the hearty bison meatloaf. For dessert, we had an eclair and lemon bar which were delectable! The server was friendly and helpful.
Great place for a pre-show dinner. They have a nice offer for those attending the theater - show your tix and get 10% off your bill + free parking. The food is very good. Service was slow, but the waiter did make sure we were served in time to make the show. It's pretty loud in there, though. I don't enjoy "energetic" acoustics. It makes it difficult to carry on a conversation and relax during a meal.
Going to a Broadway Show
Great pre-concert restaurant. We enjoy the happy hour menu.
Great waiter. Service was excellent. Food was appetizing and good sized portions. Little on the noisy side.
Our group of 6 loved the meal prices, our server Steve, and the all you can drink mimosa bar! 5 stars!!
We absolutely love this place! Food is great, service is wonderful! It is a lively place.
Consistently great food and great service. Easy to make reservations and we are always seated on time.
Alex was great!!!
Great drinks. Food was pretty good too. Service was great! Would definitely go back.
