   Celebrated my dad's 98th birthday with family and friends (13 total). The service, the meal, the attention to detail was second to none. From veal to pasta to ossobuco to dessert, everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. The evening was capped off by the waiters/servers singing happy birthday to dad. An overall great evening.

   I was excited to have dinner here but it turned out to be a major disappointment. Shrimp had an unusual taste, carpaccio was tasteless and thick, bread was stale and to top it off the waiter’s service was poor at best. We left after appetizers . Not to mention their prices for what you get are ridiculous high

   Donatello’s measured up to the great reputation and our prior experiences. The service and quality of food was amazing and it remains THE Italian Restaurant in Tampa Bay for special occasions!

   From start to finish this place was spectacular! When I red the history on their website and stated they had been there for 40 years, there is no doubt why! The customer service, to the food, and the dinning was out of this world. Very traditional atmosphere to service! When we go back to Tampa this will definitely be a place we go back to!

   We drive over an hour to Donatellos. We had an exceptional experience again. It’s nice to enjoy a very “old school” service environment down to the rose received when leaving. The fettuccini Alfredo was the best we have had in a long time. Homemade pasta with a light, delicious sauce with a hint of nutmeg. The bolognese was also delicious. The swordfish was also perfectly prepared. Tender and moist. The lemon sorbet was wonderful as well. We do not go as often as we like but when we do it does not disappoint.

   Gino and his team never fail to create and deliver an awesome experience! Reservations are strongly suggested, but isn't that the hallmark of a great restaurant? Service team is professional and knowledgeable, every interaction seems like they have been my server for years...timing is always on point, and someone's birthday or anniversary always results in a pop-up song by the team, making it always fun and festive...do yourself a favor and manga! Steaks, pasta, seafood...classic recipes and fresh ingredients...so good!

    The door was held open for my girlfriend and I. Had a very friendly greeting when we walked in. We had crab, shrimp, and clams for an appetizer and all 3 were some of the best I’ve ever had. We got the grouper and the sausage stuffed tortellinis for entrees and they were both incredible. Impecable sauces. 10/10 experience all around
