   Cocktail = good, Ciabatta rolls = great, crab cakes = great, wedge salald = great, lobster roll = great, sole w/potatoes & kale = greasy, underseasoned, kind of tasteless. So can't give 5 stars here with an expensive entree made so carelessly. Lively place. Did not try the oysters, which are their namesake.

   We went during happy hour so the value was totally awesome. The food and service were awesome. We ordered calamari with 2 oysters to start, but we recieved and finished our oysters before the calamari came out. We were the 2nd or thrid table to order when they opened and saw others recieved their cooked food first. Not sure what happened there, otherwise everything was great!!!!

   Great place. We frequent the KC location and it’s nice but pretty sterile. This Denver location has great character. Service was off the charts good. Recommendations from our server were perfect. Love the location and venue. We’ll be back for sure!

   Wonderful experience at Jax LoDo! We'd visited the location in Boulder before, and were very impressed with Denver. The server was excellent - answered our questions and was very personable. Great selection of oysters from the raw bar!

   Celebrated a 9 year old birthday and the guest of honor ordered the Norwegian Salmon. It was delicious. The risotto was perfect as was the tuna. The staff was gracious and very attentive to the birthday girl.

   We never got to eat? Or even enter. We were running a little late, we called and left a message, we texted via open table that we were on our way and revived a confirmation back that they were excited to see us. We arrived at the front door 14 minutes late. The manager was locking the door, she would not acknowledge us or look at us. The bartender tried to get her attention that we were outside she would have none of it. He shrugged his shoulders and mouthed “Sorry”. We went elsewhere, we will not be returning!

    Great service, very attentive. I think we would have stayed longer but there was someone right outside our window making us uncomfortable-sometimes staring but most of the time just sort of talking to himself, stretching, and dancing. Oysters were very good.

    We really enjoyed our dinner. Everything from cocktails to dessert was well thought-out and executed beautifully. Even our Caesar salad was packed with flavor. Our family of 4 don’t often scour every morsel of food off our plates but we certainly did here. The service was prompt, friendly, and helpful. Will definitely return on our next trip to Denver.

    The food was excellent! I had just arrived from FL and it was my first meal in Denver. I sat by the bar with a friend for happy hour. We had oysters, a cup of gumbo and calamari. At the end of our meal, one of the guys behind the bar asked me how was the food and I jokingly said it was terrible (our plates were empty, so of course it was delicious), but he did not take very well. He was very rude. People with this type of personality (uptight and no sense of humor) should not work with the public. As someone who travels all over the world, I usually don’t go back to places where I don’t feel welcome or was mistreated, even if the food is good. There are too many places with good food and service to explore out there, so why go back? Also, tell the girl behind the bar that oysters don’t go with sangria. She is clueless. The overall experience was fair.

    We celebrated our 10 year anniversary here. It was so nice how they had hand written card for us and a champagne toast! Food and drinks were amazing as always! One of my favorites that I keep coming back to! The personal touches go a long way.

    This was our first trip back to Jax Fish House since before the pandemic (I’m an immunosuppressed heart transplant recipient) and we were really looking forward to it as it was always our go-to for a special night out. Jax did not disappoint! Gabby (our server) and her wonderful trainee were professional, attentive, engaging, friendly, knowledgeable and basically a complete delight. The food was delicious, starting with a complementary amuse of Cajun-spiced grilled oysters. We each had a salad (my wedge was phenomenal), and for entrees I had the PNW Sole and my husband had the scallops and pork belly. Each was wonderful. Unfortunately my fish had some bones in it but Gabby, the chef and manager sprang into action to make sure we were happy. We finished with the chocolate and sea salt caramel tart, which was the perfect thing to share at the end of such a well-crafted meal. I struggled with whether or not to mention the bones in this review because I don’t want it to put anyone off of this place. Fish have bones and sometimes this happens in the finest of dining! The most important thing is how a dining establishment responds when something is amiss and the staff at Jax handled it beautifully. We will be back!

    Our server Jose was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and helped answer our questions about the menu. The food was fresh, delicious and maybe a little on the smaller side portion wise. My aunt loved it though and wants to go back again.

    Noah and Jose were great! The oysters are amazing! Our main course was ok, not bad but you can definitely go in and do apps/drinks/oysters and be all set! Will definitely be back

    Was very disappointed in the quality of the food served. Seafood pasta had too much vinegar... yes, vinegar. Oysters on the half shell was not good quality. There were other examples of a tab of over $300. Just to say, I will not being going back to downtown JAX.

    Food was delicious. Service was below average. It was my husband's bday and not only did she check his ID (he is 55) but she then dropped the check off without asking about dessert (she also never asked us if we wanted another adult bev, had to ask for wet towel service after eating shellfish as well). Bday = dessert. We thought the gumbo was almost unbearably salty. Lots of touches from other staff members a positive. Also, kill the aqua strobe light in the entry. It makes it so you cannot sit on the side of the table facing or you have a glaring strobe light directly at you.

    First our server did not introduced herself, so we don’t know her name. Second, we asked for a happy hour if the raw bar is included, she said yes. So we picked 2 dozens of oysters. 3rd, service was to slow, we have to follow up our orders twice. So when we got our bill, we question about the price of happy hour oysters, the server said, the one we picked was not a part of happy hour. So why she did not tell us, when were ordering, that the one we picked was not a part of happy hour, at first we asked her which one is a happy hour raw bar. We’re not going back to that place anymore.
