Bar Dough is an Italian kitchen that offers an elevated take on traditional cuisine in a cozy neighborhood setting. Chef Russell Stippich's menu of inventive small plates, traditionally prepared meats and fish, handmade pastas, and wood fired pizza pairs perfectly alongside our classically inspired cocktail menu, Italian-centric wine list, and house-made spritzes.     This was my first time at Bar Dough. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. My only issue was that it was so loud (between other patrons and the music played over the speakers) that my friends and I had a hard time hearing each other. Other than that, it was great.

    The tagliatelle was not good and some of the pasta servings differ, one was comically small and the other was reasonable. But the service was good and the garlic bread is great!

    Service was amazing, however the food was not worth the price. I had a gluten free pasta which costed $3 extra, so my pasta was much more expensive than my husband’s yet I was given less portion and the pasta itself was not to die for.

    Unhappy with the host. I brought my mother here seeing they had reservations wide open for the next hour and a half. They told us the only available seat was at the bar although there were multiple open tables. I booked the 6:15 reservation instead of the wide open 6:00 and patiently waited and enjoyed some garlic bread. They'd rather keep an empty table and set their status quo than allow us to enjoy our experience. At 6:05 one of the employees said, "we've had a last minute cancellation," although nobody had ever booked it or I would have. We ate we left and if it wasn't for the undisclosed 20% additional charge for staff I would have returned the favor with my tip. Unprofessional way to treat returning customers on a Tuesday.

    We came here for brunch. We found it on the top “bottomless brunch” list from a Denver magazine. It does not have bottomless brunch. Instead the waiter said “you can buy the bottle”. Food was decent but the servers were all trying to help take care of the restaurant together with little coordination.

We discontinued that offering several months ago so I'm not sure why we're still ending up on those lists, but I will have our marketing team look into it immediately!     The Bucatini and Tagliatelle were delicious and the service was very good. Given there were no sides as part of the entrees, perhaps a bit pricey versus the portions. All in all, we always enjoy a visit to Bar Dough.

    Usually really tasty but last night the chef must have had Covid cuz the pasta and the rapini tasted like someone dumped a huge pile of salt on it. I mean good lord. I want to taste my actual food not a mouthful of salt. Especially for the prices paid and the small portion sizes. At least the pizza, crudo and drinks tasted normal (good). Someone take the salt away from whoever was in charge of that last night.

    My only complaint was the size of the pasta dish I ordered! While it was delicious, it seemed a tad overpriced for two cannelloni. Otherwise, the service was incredible, the ambiance was great, and even at 6:30pm on a weekend it wasn't too noisy.

    Bar Dough for Italian food bar none. Had to make a last minute adjustment to rez, and they were very accommodating. Everything was superb, from the Sicilian Sunrise cocktail to the appetizers to the entrees. The portions were a bit on the small side, but other than I'd highly recommend.

    This was my 3rd time at Bar Dough, but my first time sitting on the patio. It was such a wonderful night to be out there! I brought my dad, who was in from out of town, and he can't stop talking about what a wonderful experience it was! Our waitress was great, the food was delicious. We split the Palisade peach pizza and a Caesar salad. The pizza was the most amazing combination of flavor, and my dad was so amazed by the unique flavor of the Caesar salad, as was I. He told me what a good choice I made for dinner and said he wants to go back to Bar Dough the next time he's in town. Well done, Bar Dough!

    They have eggs Benedict and a sandwich on their menu listed as served on a English muffin, but ended up serving both on potato buns without giving us a heads up. When I let the server know, he said he’d send the manager over and it took a good 20 minutes before the manager came over. They also forgot to bring my wife’s pasta out and had to be reminded about ten minutes after the rest of our food came out. The sandwiches were just not very good at all- it was a poor take on a McMuffin. Frankly McDonalds would be tastier. The coffee was also pretty bad— they don’t have drip coffee and make a very poor americano. We also ordered the biscuits which were dry and unsatisfying. Overall would not go back, can’t recommend it.

    We loved the Bucatini All'Amatriciana; the fennel sausage totally made the dish delicious and over the top amazing. Cacio e Pepe is one of my favorite Italian pasta dishes, and we made it even better by putting the chili flakes on top. Bar Dough also makes one of the best negronis I've ever had...delish! The staff was fun, helpful and engaging. It's always a great time there!

I do certainly understand the hesitation with our portion sizes. Our hope is that the quality of ingredients and amount of labor we pour into each dish shines through in the overall value, but with the cost of goods today that's getting more and more challenging. Nonetheless, our mission will always be to put out the highest quality dishes at the lowest possible cost to our guests and we will continue to work on that each day.     The food was mostly great but, despite a great demeanor and legit effort by our server, the service was terrible. Multiple items sold out, but jot notes before taking orders. First main course arrived more than 5 minutes before any others. All main courses arrived before silverware or the wine that had been ordered 30 min prior.

    We’ve been long time customers at Bar Dough. Pizza was under-cooked. Waiter (Rolando) knocked over our nice bottle of wine. It spilled onto my friend’s white shorts and stained. We got soda water and a napkin to clean up along with limoncello shots as a sorry. Unfortunately it didn’t feel like a reasonable effort to make things right. We won’t be back.

    Although our reservation was for ‘high top community seating’, we were offered a table outside on the patio. We took advantage of that on a beautiful night. Our server gave us good wine recommendations. Service was prompt, food was outstanding. Portions were not huge like most Italian restaurants, but that was fine. We thought we would be offered bread with oil and Parmesan, but that was not the case. That would be the only disappointment.

    We were very impressed made a reservation online and when we arrived we were greeted warmly and welcoming. They also gave us option inside or outside and made sure we weren’t by any flowers outside due to allergies. Our waiter was lovely very attentive and helped us pick some of the best selections on the menu. Everything came out well timed and hot not warm. Beautifully plated and perfect portion to share or individual. We enjoyed the caprese salad, arancini, caci de Pepe, a sausage pasta dish and garlic bread. We were not over full just right and passed on dessert. Everything was excellent if you get a chance visit was a wonderful little Italian spot. We will be back to try the pizza next time as the table next to us order two and looked delicious. Enjoy!

    We didn't love bar dough as an option for date night because it's very noisy and service feels very rushed. Definitely a great spot to bring friends. Drinks were amazing and the food came out fast. My Mais pizza was fantastic but the Radiatore(?) pasta was way sweeter than we were anticipating and the pasta itself was pretty overcooked for a place that specializes in pasta (could very well be a taste thing; it just had no bite at all). The anitipasti we tried (crudo) and the sides (summer vegetables and salad) were all delicious.
