   Top notch!! Service is timed perfectly. The food is superb though pricey but that’s just the way it is everywhere. It can be a little loud as the tables are placed close together and with an open kitchen etc. But that’s minor when you add in the overall quality of the experience.

   Kokkari is the best Mediterranean style restaurant in the area. It is perfectly located close to the Embarcadero for travelers with short stays in the City and a desire for good food. The ambiance and the service are absolutely outstanding, and the food is spectacular. We were two families one local and one visiting from Argentina, a group of 7 so we had a chance to try several dishes, the calamari, the octopus, the moussaka, the zucchini cakes, and the halloumi for appetizers were truly excellent, the calamari in particular is stuffed with feta cheese and it is so tender and delicious, the octopus is cooked perfectly! For the Entrees we had the lamb chops, which were very good, but I wished we had chosen something I didn't often make at home and the sea bass which was just incredible. For dessert we had baklava and the greek yogurt with walnuts, delicious! The place does not disappoint, dine at this fine place with confidence! But bring a thick wallet :)

   This is a wonderful restaurant with fresh simple recipes that melt in your mouth. We had the Seabass and souvlaki. They accommodate the sharing and the wines by the glass were perfect. amazingly crowded and the dress was from formal to casual chic.

   Had lunch at Kokkari. Sat at a window table for two at the bar. Brett was our server, backed up by assistance from a busboy and others who delivered the food. My wife & I shared a six-course lunch of grilled prawns and octopus, an English pea and feta salad, stuffed calamari, saganaki, a whole sea bream, and finally a lemon custard and pistachio ice cream dessert. We shared a bottle of Greco Di Tufo white wine from Compania and we’re comped a dessert wine. Everything was perfect! We consider Kokkari to be one of the best restaurants in San Francisco. It’s the first time we’ve had lunch there and we loved it.

    Delicious food and well paced, attentive service. Flatbread special, grilled calamari and halibut were all outstanding. Very good selection of wines by the glass. Only negative - on our reservation we indicated we were celebrating anniversary but we were seated in the back room surrounded by large and loud parties. Fortunately the two-top right next to us remained empty throughout our meal.

    This is an amazing dining experience. True professionals from the moment you walk in. Lian the manager greats you to this beautiful dining room. Our Waiter was Moises and his knowledge of the menu guided us throughout our meal to perfection. From the cocktails to the appetizers, entrees and dessert his suggestions were perfect. I’m not a Lamb eater but the Lamb chops were amazing.

    Hands down, Kokkari is my favorite restaurant in San Francisco. You can't top it... on any level. The service is amazingly swift and friendly, despite the hoards of people they manage to serve. It's personal, and they go out of their way. I even asked for a 1/2 martini (!) and they made it for me. Best martinis in SF, IMHO. I wish I could eat there once a week. Michele is the King of Kokkari, making everyone feel special. I can't rave enough. (I dared to stray from my regular order of lamb and had swordfish last time, and it blew me away. THE most tender fish I've ever had. Seriously!

    Incredible special occasion restaurant. I brought my husband here for a big birthday lunch. What a pleasant space, delightful service, all food we ordered was excellent. Especially loved the squid, octopus and zucchini cakes. On the expensive side for sure, but top notch quality and service.

    Consistently outstanding and the daily specials were wonderful. A fresh English Peas, lemon and Feta salad was glorious. after many starters, three of us split the Branzino (Mediterranean Sea bass). Don't miss the baklava ice cream!

    My daughter and I ate there for lunch, and the restaurant was busy as usual. We had a pork belly appetizer special that was tasty, but so much of the pork was fat that there was very little edible meat which decreased our enjoyment in this special appetizer. The spanakopita and the zucchini cakes were both excellent. My daughter enjoyed the grilled octopus also. Our service was good.

    I have been going to Kokkari for over 20 years and have never been disappointed. Amazing food, service and atmosphere. Very difficult to get reservations in a good time slot, but absolutely worth the wait. Highly recommend for special occasion dinner or a nice business lunch. Just go and experience for yourself, you will be amazed.

    Our food was amazing. Service professional & friendly. Maybe the best restaurant we e ever been to. We think coming in in our hiking clothes may have rated us a table stuck in the high traffic zone near the bathroom is our only complaint.
