   This week, I hosted a table for six and a table for two on consecutive evenings for not-from-Denver business colleagues during a conference, and everyone raved about the amazing food, the great (reasonably priced) wine selection and wonderful service! Thank you to Chef Ludo, Jason and Sage for delivering wonderful evenings!

   The absolute best Mothers’ day brunch! Beaut was our server and she was patient and professional and knowledgeable. Gold stars. Food was delicious as always and it wasn’t too crowded. We had to wait a short while for our reservation but that’s not surprising on the holiday. They should have separated the dessert part of the buffet to another area. Quite a bit of traffic jam at the buffet and no real flow.

   When we booked we were unaware it was a fixed menus - $65 per person and not worth the value. Steak and frites - absolutely no seasoning on the steak nor any sauce. Fries were fine. Burger - now making my partner sick. Croque Madame - usually a favorite at French restaurants but this was bad. There was too much ham, the shredded cheese wasn’t melted, egg was overdone, and barely a drizzle of bechamel. Dry, cold, and tasteless. Service was great and lemon tart pastry was good.

   Mother’s Day brunch was okay. For $65 per person one would think they’d have a bit more to select from on the menu, but only a couple traditional breakfast items plus some steak and other “lunch items”

   We recently learned about Chez Maggie and it actually exceeded expectations! We split escargot, omg excellent! And the bread-my husband almost passed out he was so happy. Chopped salad, great dressing! My trout was incredibly tasty; husband’s steak frits also excellent & made up for his last experience at a different French restaurant! I was too full from trying everything so staff comped a glass of champagne for my birthday. Will definitely come back!

    I chose the wrong people to go with since they had no desire to order the escargot. Overall, food and service were great, and we really enjoyed it.
