We arrived for a midweek lunch for 2. We received a prompt and verh warm welcome. We were very well looked after. The food was superb and left looking for an excuse to come back as soon as possible

We visited for my partner's birthday with our baby and toddler. The service was excellent, no rushing you to finish at your table or to quickly order. They talk to you and make you feel welcome. We ate tandoori chicken, tandoori paneer, samosas and poppadoms for starters. All were very nice. For Main our toddler had paneer dosa, we had saag paneer (little spicy) and butter chicken curry with garlic naan and rice. Rice portion is enough for one person, you would need to order two if you like more rice. We shared, as we wanted more naan. For dessert, we had jamon and toddler had dairy free ice cream. Overall, the food was unreal. In particular the tandoori starters and butter curry. Was a bit pricy, but worth the money. Note that it is a vegetarian and plant based menu. We are meat eaters, but it didn't bother us and we thoroughly enjoyed it. No difference in flavour at all.

This was our first time going to Mad Dogs & Englishmen , we went to experinece the "Wizarding World" Afternoon Tea. We loved this afternoon tea, the atmosphere was so welcoming and fun with Harry Potter inspired decor everywhere and background music to match. The food was great with nut free menus available that had soup, sandwiches and a mini salads, as well as the deserts which were delicious and you could take some home so nothing is wasted. The staff were very friendly and chatty, there was also a fun little "potions" experiment to try out while we waited for our food. Would recommend to anyone looking for a fun afternoon tea, we'll definately be going back in the future to expereince the other themed teas :)

It is a nice restaurant with a view of Southend airport which currently is very quite (the airport) The staff were very helpful and friendly which was great, the food was good and even with the starter of my partner being slightly over cooked, they removed it from the bill and thanked us for our genuine feedback. Overall i would return to the restaurant and could recommend it.
