The food was mediocre at best and expensive for what you receive. Meats are all over $34 and ala carte. Veggies will cost you $7-14.
Great steaks as usual. Love the Brussels sprouts. Cornbread was delicious with our Caesars salads. Perfect service.
We eat here every year when we visit Santa Fe and we were very disappointed with the food this time. Lobster was over cooked/ chewy and did not like that it was not a whole tail anymore but two small ones added with a mixture of tomatoes, corn and sauce which was not good. Next my husbands NY strip had no flavor. Only item that was good was the salad. We will not eat here next time we visit due to this experience.
When we arrived for our reservation, we were immediately seated but both my husband and I noticed it was overly warm in the restaurant. Our server, Efrain, told us the air was out and offered to seat us on the covered patio. It was beautiful out there and soon it started raining. What a wonderful evening! Cannot praise Efrain enough - he went above and beyond the call of duty!
Great steak and mushrooms again!! Brussels sprouts were top notch too. Service was spot on.
The food was good but too expensive for what you got. They were very understaffed for a holiday weekend. We arrived a few minutes before our reservation and had to wait until exactly our reservation time to be seated even though there were multiple empty tables. The chairs were dirty with crumbs from the previous diners. Our table was not the only one with dirty chairs. We waited about 15 minutes before the waiter came to our table to greet us and take our drink order. Our waiter was very nice and he was running around as fast as he could to help all his tables. The kitchen seemed slow getting the food out; we waited for quite some time to get our food. Maybe this was an off night but I would not eat here again. Not worth the price.
We arrived to our table. The first thing I noticed once I sat down was a long hair weaving through both of my forks. Not a good start. Our server remedied that issue. We received our menus they were just flimsy sheets of paper. They were also dirty for a high end restaurant as this could be considered. They also didn’t have a couple of items. We ordered our food. The steak while prime was on the tough side, it was cooked well done. I had the Salmon I thought it was a tad over cooked but not a issue for myself. We had also ordered some drinks. They were done well good bartender on this night. The menu had changed since the previous visit. A little more variety and having everything available would have been a plus. Not sure we will return but never can be sure. Especially for the price paid. Most important server and bartender were excellent.
Menu, Wine List and Desert Menu all had to be amended by the server. 10oz Filet was a bit tough but was served on a sauce that tasted like KC Masterpiece BBQ Sauce, spinach side was canned or made way ahead of time and potato’s under done.
Lemon Tarte which was a new add not on the menu appeared to be purchased and the berries were not fresh. The cherry’s on the dish were bottles not fresh.
Service was adequate but a little over attentive. For the price a letdown
I came in with a group on 5/28/19 and order the the New York Strip, it was absolutely delicious. It was well seasoned and cook perfectly. So much so that when my husband came into on Friday, I decided to treat him on Saturday. I order 2 New York strips steak entrees, they were so bland and had no seasoning, I end up sending 1 back bc I couldn't see my self paying $40 for a unseasoned piece of meat. I would have sent the other back but my husband was starving and ate a portion. When I told the waiter about the problem, he said that there was a more seasoned chef there on Tuesday and someone new on Saturday. Which still shouldnt matter?
Ordered a well done filet , it came burnt on top and red inside. They took it back to cook it more and it came back looking like charcoal. It was awful , didn’t end up eating.
It was our anniversary which was shared with the restaurant hours prior to reservations. I asked that we sit outside, recognize our anniversary to my fiancé (a little surprise) and anything else they might do to help celebrate our anniversary.
First of all they didn’t sit outside, they didn’t recognize our anniversary when we checked in to be seated nor did they say anything about the occasion until it was time to pay the check. That’s when the hostess came up and apologized for not sitting us outside or recognizing our anniversary. And the manager came up and said “don’t leave we have a surprise” a couple minutes later they brought out some dessert. Anyway, we probably won’t go there again especially it’s its a special occasion.
The atmosphere wasn’t as elegant as you’d expect for such high prices. But overall food was fabulous and staff was very nice.
Very pleasant outdoor area to have dinner. The chicken and steak were both very tasty. Chicken was prepared with a southwestern twist which I like.
Excellent food excellent service
I would recommend. Calimary was not good. Wife’s steak salad was burnt but they brought another. Everything else was fine
The lobster tail was tough and stringy- hard to eat. Veggies weren’t good, sauce wasn’t tasty and they weren’t tender.
My daughters strip steak was tough, but tasted ok.
They were out of creme brûlée , it was only 6!pm. Chocolate pudding wasn’t anything special, tasted like jello pudding.
Very disappointed in the meal.
Service was great, however.
Our server Bryann did a great job and she was very friendly. First time there, we really liked it!
I’ve eaten here before and had good experiences but today was definitely not it. Our appetizers came out 30 minutes after ordering it and our dinner 30 minutes after that. I had guests from out of town and I decided to them there but I really wish I hadn’t. We spoke to the manager who had nothing much to say other then she will take the kids meals off the bill for the wait. On top of that, the food was not appetizing at all - the steak and burgers had absolutely no flavor and the salads were frozen. I am pretty sure this will be my last time there.
For a “fine dining” restaurant, it was very mediocre. Our steaks were rather tough. This restaurant was subpar overall.
Best scallops and calamari I have ever eaten!!!!!!!!!
My favorite restaurant! The dining experience is always the best!
We had dinner there last evening. It is a bit of a drive from town however the food was outstanding & their wine list is top drawer. Definitely worth eating here for a change.
Excellent food and phenomenal service! We have been celebrating 9 years of anniversaries in this restaurant and look forward to many more years having it here!
We have been to this restaurant many times in the past and the food was always excellent along with the service. This time, while they were busy because of a concert that night, service was exceptionally slow... the waiter assigned to our table never came to us and we got a diferent server... he tried hard but was forever busy. The food was cold when it finally got to us, and they ran out of filets right after taking our order. The table next to us had to return the food as it was not prepared correctly, and by the time it got to them, they had to leave to make the concert (they were there in plenty of time but service was way too slow). We were seated at a small table so close to the next table we could have shared their conversation without trying. Overall, the service and food quality has gone way down hill. It will be awhile before we return.
Great meal. Server was on top of his game ascwell
Steaks were a little overcooked but delicious. Sauces fantastic. Sides could be better. Waiter inexperienced, in a hurry, didnt offer more cocktails until too late. Could have been given more attention. Waiter needs more training for such a high end reztaurant.
Amazing service and food.
Very tasty and enjoyable
We had the greatest waiter. We had the scallops and sea bass and they were both great
Kitchen was extremely slow—and they knew we had concert tickets!
Tried the NY strip and it was perfect! Big enough to split as we did. The farmers market salad with dressing on the side was perfect. My husband had the Caesar and thoroughly enjoyed it. Efficient service got us to our show in plenty of time. All great!
So, usually we split a ribeye but I was in the mood for scallops and they were excellent. My husband had a steak frites and enjoyed it. He started with the corn chowder and declared it good. I tried the farmers market salad with walnut oil dressing. Nice, but a little too much dressing. Service was very efficient and pleasant. Split a creamer brûlée as a finish...always good. Their coffee was better than normal too. Always worth a visit!
The quality of the food was excellent however all four dinners came out luke warm and this was after we waited over an hour. Restaurant wasn’t busy but the cooks just didn’t seem to have it together. When I’m spend 200plus on dinner I expect excellence. Our waiter was apologetic and his service was excellent.
Manager came over to apologize and offered us comps on dessert. Not happy with that aspect. When you are paying $50.00x2 for steak and another $35.00 on a smaller entree a comp on dessert does not suffice.
We have eaten here before and were actually excited to go again until our food came out cold. Who wants lukewarm steak and veggies?
Went for my wife's birthday, couldn't be more pleased. Service was very attentive. Bryann was great. The 'Red Sage Margaritas' are awesome. The managers both stopped by and wished my honey a very Happy Birthday, made her feel very special. The prices are very reasonable for what you get. The New York is hand cut and trimmed with just enough fat for flavor left on it. My wife doesn't like onions so she asked to have the mushroom sauce from the rib eye on her steak, they accommodated her easily, I was jealous when I tasted it. Very pleasant experience. We will definitely be back again soon.
Service was outstanding. There was fair number of open tables so the staff wasn't busy to say. The waitress timed our meal perfectly and kept our drinks full. The NY steak was good, but felt could have been more tender and little more flavor in the sauce/rub used. I think they cook seafood better than the steak based on the meals we got. Prices high being in Hotel, which only real issue I have with the place. Overall would go there again and recommend it.
Very nice. Highly recommend for a good meal. Staff was attentive and thoughtful.
The quality of good was good but the portions were small for what you pay. The service was very mediocre. I would not consider this an upscale restaurant.
This restaurant has every element to give guests a wonderful experience. Cozy, nice drink selection, decent menu options. Unfortunately the price for the food isn’t the only thing leaving a bad taste in your mouth. When I see a filet cut is 50$ my mouth waters, thinking I’ll get what I pay for. Unfortunately this was not the case. Tasteless. No seasoning whatsoever. The creamed spinach was all over the place and the potatoes were undercooked.
Very comfortable experience. Food was great, server was friendly.
Unfriendly greeting upon arrival. Arrived 5mins early for reservation, was told gruffly it would be at least 15 more minutes.
Screwed up 3 of 6 orders. Took 2hrs to be served all courses.
We had a delicious meal here. The shrimp/chorizo appetizer was excellent as was the strip steak & cooked to perfection. Only thing missing with the steak & mashed potatoes was a green vegetable such as asparagus, green beans et cetera,
