Waitress was very attentive and pleasant. Valentine Day special was very good, if somewhat pricey.
Our waiter was so amazing and funny.
Food was delicious but not enough choices for ala carte prices are high and would have preferred items from bar menu for a lighter fare and price with the ability to sit at table versus bar area.

Red sage is over priced, dinner for 2 with out tip was 100.79. had dinner at 6:00pm. Our waiter was very nice. I expect way better food! She had chicken and I had a 40 dollar New York cut.
Tried the elk and risotto...great!! Caesar salads were excellent too. Finished with pot du creme which was lovely. All service was good and efficient. Home run again!!
The food was terrific. the service, however, was not. We reserved dinner at 6:30 with an 8:00 show on site planned. We thought surely 1.5 hours would be sufficient. It might have been if our server had not forgotten to put in our ticket. By 7:15, we had not even seen the appetizer or salad we had ordered. After flagging down both our server and another employee, we were told they would rush the order. our appetizers were there by 7:30. But by now, you can imagine the rush of eating in order to get to the other end of the building for the show. We were not very happy about it at all and the servers excuses were not placating us. The did end up comping the appetizers. The food itself is fabulous: the salmon was delicious as were the carrots. My husband had the pork and said it was good as he inhaled it!! So overall, good food, bad service.
One month ago my girlfriend and I ate at 3 highly touted Las Vegas casino restaurants, her words: none of them compare to the food we just had. Kudos to the great cooks and staff.

It was very convenient that the restaurant was in the hotel we were staying. There wasn’t a long wait to be seated (after all we did make reservations). We did have to wait longer time period to order our drinks than usual restaurants. The waiter was extremely professional and apologized for the wait. His overall performance in serving us was great. There was another customer who seemed to be very intoxicated and was very load. Me and my partner were not phased by this as we found it humorous, but others seemed to be very upset as the staff took there time in getting someone to remove her from the restaurant. Our food was displayed nicely (though I feel my plate was a little bland as my partners was more flavorful. The food is pricey! Overall, the experience was very nice!
My husband and I are on a special diet and require alteration and substitutions with our food. They were very accommodating and the food was delicious! Our waiter was very attentive and made our meal a delight! The Red Sage is a must for those visiting the area!
This was literally the second time I ate here this week. Iam getting really fond of this place. I got the same exact thing which I never do.......it was the chicken with a side of salmon. The chicken is the best non-fried chicken I have ever ate at any restaurant. I don’t know how they make it but it’s always moist and flavorful.
The food tasted good as was the quality. I had the salmon and I added a piece of chicken which both were moist and flavorful. The service there might be hit or miss but the food and presentation makes up for it
Each individual at our table got a $50 steak, non of which were cooked to the correct temperature. They were all completely burnt on the outside and over cooked on the inside. When we told the manager, he said thanks for the criticism, I’ll let the chef know for next time, and walked away. I would never pay to eat there again, and I wouldn’t recommend to anyone I know.

And entree. I had the Red Sage salad as a starter, and it was well balanced and flavorful and perfect for Fall. My entree was the Free Range roasted chicken with blue corn polenta, roasted green Chile with a green chili corn pudding. This was very well done and incredibly tasty. The chicken was roasted perfectly with juicy meat. I only wish there had been more polenta on the plate!
Now dessert was very disappointing. I'm a Pastry Chef, and sometimes I wonder why I even bother ordering dessert as most of the time dessert doesn't live up to my professional standards.
I ordered the Pot de Creme...one of my favorites and it was awful! The custard wasn't set properly....and it was chunky. 😳 In a dessert cup that holds 3/4 cup, there.was maybe 1/4 of a cup of custard.... that's 3 tablespoons and a huge amount of whipped cream out of a can. I paid 9 dollars for this. Who is running this ship, because this is embarrassing?!?!?
The service was professional and attentive. I would probably eat here again, but avoid the desserts!
Red Sage has changed significantly since it first opened. Disappointed that they no longer use local New Mexico ingredients (beef is now sourced from out of state). It's my understanding the Chef turnover is high and the menu changes often. Service was not good, but I was also told the server was "new". Lots of changes, unfortunately not for the better. Therefore, this should not be considered a fine dining rated restaurant and will most likely not recommend or return.
Very overpriced. Ordered the cowboy steak and it came overcooked. I would have sent it back but I was starving after waiting an hour for our food. I have had many $60-$80 steaks (and was happy to pay the price that I did). This is not a restaurant that should be charging $60 for anything. I left the restaurant feeling unsatisfied and felt cheated for the price that I payed.
Just an average experience. The waiter was patient and attentive. Food was good but not exceptional.
Great ambiance and food, not too expensive. Fine wine selection. Fish or meat, can't go wrong!

We have come here every year for the last 10 years. The food and service are normally outstanding. There are many choices in Santa Fe but we chose Red Sage again. Brenda, the host ignored us tapping on her tablet until I said “hi”. We were the only ones in line. The restaurant was practically empty at 5:30 pm and I asked to be seated at one of the 4 tables open by the window . Brenda said no they were reserved. We had made reservations months in advance. The tables were still empty when we left.
The service by Evan was great at the table, however, I ordered a filet, medium, and I’ve never seen a square filet. It was totally over cooked and tough. I ate one bite, it was terrible. I will not come back for rude treatment and tough steaks.
Pleasant restaurant in a nice, open setting, big windows to see the clear New Mexico sky. Wait staff pleasant & attentive but not intrusive. Calamari app was great! Salads were fresh. Entrees are interesting, sea bass was tasty. Martini was perfect! Table next to us was having steak entrees & we heard a lot of oohs & aahs coming from the group. They did look delicious. Next time it's steak! We've dined there a few times, anniversaries & just to get away. Thank you for the great service, food & pleasant environment.
Food was good. Ordered a cowboy steak which is a bone in ribeye. Got a regular ribeye. Flavor was very good though. Calamari was outstanding! Creamed spinach had good flavor just a touch too much flour though. Queso Fundido was more like chile cheese dip, but flavor was excellent. They have a wonderful wine selection. Service was excellent
The calamari was very over cooked, the Brussels sprouts were undercooked and it was very expensive for a very poor meal! Would never go back or recommend.

Everything about Red Sage was very good, except the wine menu. The wine list is extensive and well chosen, but the "managers specials" (on a separate page) were insulting to anyone with even a basic knowledge of wine. I ordered a La Crema Chardonnay from the specials page and when our server brought it, I noticed it was a 2008 vintage. I asked for a later year, but was told that was the only bottle on special. I informed our server that California chardonnays have a maximum shelf life of 5-7 years and the La Crema he was serving us is 11 years old. I was willing to taste the wine and our server said he would check with the manager. He returned telling us the manager said "if the bottle is opened, you've bought it". This is unacceptable for a 4 star rated restaurant. I ordered a different bottle from the main wine menu and it was perfect, but overpriced at triple retail. Other than the wine fiasco, our meals were delicious and perfectly prepared. Service was outstanding. Our server was polished and professional, doing an outstanding job with the handicap of working with poor management.
We had a really nice meal. The steak was cooked as ordered and I liked all my food. My husband had the scallops and he enjoyed them too. We had reservations but it was busy. The service was on point.
The food was mediocre at best and expensive for what you receive. Meats are all over $34 and ala carte. Veggies will cost you $7-14.
We were very disappointed with our food. The lobster was a overcooked and the food was cold. Also, the scallops were very salty.
Great steaks as usual. Love the Brussels sprouts. Cornbread was delicious with our Caesars salads. Perfect service.
We eat here every year when we visit Santa Fe and we were very disappointed with the food this time. Lobster was over cooked/ chewy and did not like that it was not a whole tail anymore but two small ones added with a mixture of tomatoes, corn and sauce which was not good. Next my husbands NY strip had no flavor. Only item that was good was the salad. We will not eat here next time we visit due to this experience.
When we arrived for our reservation, we were immediately seated but both my husband and I noticed it was overly warm in the restaurant. Our server, Efrain, told us the air was out and offered to seat us on the covered patio. It was beautiful out there and soon it started raining. What a wonderful evening! Cannot praise Efrain enough - he went above and beyond the call of duty!

The food was good but too expensive for what you got. They were very understaffed for a holiday weekend. We arrived a few minutes before our reservation and had to wait until exactly our reservation time to be seated even though there were multiple empty tables. The chairs were dirty with crumbs from the previous diners. Our table was not the only one with dirty chairs. We waited about 15 minutes before the waiter came to our table to greet us and take our drink order. Our waiter was very nice and he was running around as fast as he could to help all his tables. The kitchen seemed slow getting the food out; we waited for quite some time to get our food. Maybe this was an off night but I would not eat here again. Not worth the price.
We arrived to our table. The first thing I noticed once I sat down was a long hair weaving through both of my forks. Not a good start. Our server remedied that issue. We received our menus they were just flimsy sheets of paper. They were also dirty for a high end restaurant as this could be considered. They also didn’t have a couple of items. We ordered our food. The steak while prime was on the tough side, it was cooked well done. I had the Salmon I thought it was a tad over cooked but not a issue for myself. We had also ordered some drinks. They were done well good bartender on this night. The menu had changed since the previous visit. A little more variety and having everything available would have been a plus. Not sure we will return but never can be sure. Especially for the price paid. Most important server and bartender were excellent.
Menu, Wine List and Desert Menu all had to be amended by the server. 10oz Filet was a bit tough but was served on a sauce that tasted like KC Masterpiece BBQ Sauce, spinach side was canned or made way ahead of time and potato’s under done.
Lemon Tarte which was a new add not on the menu appeared to be purchased and the berries were not fresh. The cherry’s on the dish were bottles not fresh.

I came in with a group on 5/28/19 and order the the New York Strip, it was absolutely delicious. It was well seasoned and cook perfectly. So much so that when my husband came into on Friday, I decided to treat him on Saturday. I order 2 New York strips steak entrees, they were so bland and had no seasoning, I end up sending 1 back bc I couldn't see my self paying $40 for a unseasoned piece of meat. I would have sent the other back but my husband was starving and ate a portion. When I told the waiter about the problem, he said that there was a more seasoned chef there on Tuesday and someone new on Saturday. Which still shouldnt matter?
Ordered a well done filet , it came burnt on top and red inside. They took it back to cook it more and it came back looking like charcoal. It was awful , didn’t end up eating.
It was our anniversary which was shared with the restaurant hours prior to reservations. I asked that we sit outside, recognize our anniversary to my fiancé (a little surprise) and anything else they might do to help celebrate our anniversary.
First of all they didn’t sit outside, they didn’t recognize our anniversary when we checked in to be seated nor did they say anything about the occasion until it was time to pay the check. That’s when the hostess came up and apologized for not sitting us outside or recognizing our anniversary. And the manager came up and said “don’t leave we have a surprise” a couple minutes later they brought out some dessert. Anyway, we probably won’t go there again especially it’s its a special occasion.
The atmosphere wasn’t as elegant as you’d expect for such high prices. But overall food was fabulous and staff was very nice.
