The food and service is superb every time
Had the soup of the day - split pea w ham. That was very nice. The warm brussel sprout salad was supposed to have roasted sprouts, but they were shaved raw & the salad didn’t have much flavor overall.
Quiet corner of the dining room was nice & service was very good.
Pre-show dinner before The Lion King at DCPA.
A nice NYE with good service and food ~ thanks
We really enjoyed the appetizers. We had the candied habanero bacon and brussel sprouts. Our salads and main entrees were also very good. We had the steak and the burger. The drink menu was extensive. Our server was excellent. The only disappointment was the dessert we ordered - cream de caramel tort. It was very bland. I would return but would try a different dessert.
A really great dinner. Solid on all fronts.
The food was amazing! I am already craving the dishes I got and will definitely be going back again. Very impressed!
Very convenient before a show. Food was very good and unique, service was efficient, beverage selection was well curated. Glad we got a reservation, the place filled up quickly with like minded diners.
We debated whether to eat at the hotel or go out but decided to avoid the cold and eat at the hotel.
We were so happy that we chose Range! Two people in our party got the bison meatloaf and couldn't stop raving throughout the meal (I tried a bite, sooo good) I got the roasted pear salad and added steak. Really good salad that I devoured.
Our drinks were tasty and our waiter was very friendly and attentive.
We'll be back!
We had great pre-theater experience at range. Really great service (thanks, Gavin) and delicious food. We'll definitely be back!
Very unique spot in converted bank now hotel. The food was delicious and artfully presented. I appreciate their commitment to local sourcing.
Food was overall not impressive, although the desserts were incredible.
The chicken confit was not crispy & the scallops were squishy. Smallish portions, 3 little scallops for $38.
Wine was reasonably priced.
We had a great experience here. Within walking distance from our hotel.
Rick was a great waiter and the food was delicious
The restaurant was beautiful and comfortable. The food came out hot and was delicious. I had the Flank Steak and it was cooked perfectly to order. I was able to substitute risotto for the fries. I noticed that they were able to accommodate dietary needs of every guest around us. Our waiter Rudy was respectful, attentive and eager to please. All-in all a great experience and we will definitely return.
Always a pleasant experience. Come early for a drink in the gorgeous lobby bar, then go in for an intimate dinner. I’ll be back!
A promising menu was poorly executed. The shrimp and crab claws in the Shrimp and Crab Claw Cocktail appetizer was served still slightly frozen and had a stale taste (too long in the freezer taste?) even after it finished thawing at the table. The soup of the day, Red Pepper Soup, was flavorful and well seasoned but served barely warm and had to be sent back. The Poached Pear and Gorgonzola salad had numerous wonderful ingredients in it like candied walnuts, bacon, shallot crisps but was so heavily dressed with a strong balsamic vinaigrette you couldn't taste anything but dressing. The House Salad was bland in its ingredients and was drenched in an even more bland vinaigrette. The menu listed "Wild Caught Atlantic Salmon" as an entree. Even though my understanding is that the wild caught stock of Atlantic salmon has been so reduced by over fishing that there is essentially no wild Atlantic salmon left and all Atlantic Salmon is Farm Raised, I ordered it. I don't eat farm raised salmon. The salmon was served so dry that I couldn't discern much about its taste and the chalky Tzatziki on top didn't help.
The food recommendation were very good choices. Service was very good
Our server was lovely, but food horrific. I literally could not eat the scallops. I think that if I did I would have gotten sick. My husband had the salmon and it was fishy, but not sickening.
Great food, table for 2 is a little big. Definitely didn't make it feel intimate. Otherwise nice place
The food was absolutely spectacular- actually special! The chef has really upped the game of this restaurant. It’s pricey, but the flavor profiles and quality of the food make it more than worth it… more than dinner- it was an experience. Service was also outstanding.
Range is located in the Renaissance hotel which is in the old Colorado National Bank. The building and architecture is just beautiful. Many old features of the bank remain intact including the vaults, and that was very fun to look at after dinner. Dinner was delicious. We had the warm brussels salad and the pear gorgonzola salad. Both were large and we were glad to share them among four people. For entrees we had scallops (wonderfully seared), lamb shepherd pie, bison meatloaf and the flatiron steak. The first three entrees were quite good, but the flatiron steak fell flat mostly because the salsa served over the steak was cold which made the steak seem cold, and the flavors of the salsa were a bit overwhelming. It was also served with a mountain of fries and would have been better with a small amount of roasted potatoes or vegetable puree. The star of the evening was our wonderful waiter, Gavin. He was absolutely phenomenal. So naturally friendly and quick to meet our needs without hovering. I'd return to Range and would sincerely hope we'd have the pleasure of Gavin's wonderful hospitality again.
Service was absolutely spot on. I will be back.
The interior is beautiful. Our waiter was very friendly and caring. We felt very special dining here.
Awesome atmosphere and amazing food and drinks!
Our group of 4 included a teen...we all enjoyed our experience so much! I'm not typically a fan of a hotel restaurant, but this didn't feel like one. Enjoying cocktails in the lobby of this historic former Colorado National Bank was delightful as well...the murals and antique furniture were part of the delightful experience. The staff is fantastic.
Waiter was very attentive, handling our multiple orders spaced over time graciously.
Our poor world is so understaffed. You can feel it everywhere we go, and here was no exception. They tried.
Fabulous lunch, terrific food and what a building with fabulous history!!!
Food was excellent. Service was attentive. Food arrive fast- maybe even too fast.
Overall, a fine experience. Great appetizer, entrees as advertised, and not rushed. Only knock I have on our evening is how they sat guests... We were sat immediately adjacent to another couple even though there were plenty of other tables available. And another party was sat immediately adjacent to us (on the other side) again with plenty of other open tables available.
Gavin, our server, was truly thoughtful, friendly, and attentive. It was my mother's birthday and he and the kitchen were very willing and able to make dietary accommodations so she could enjoy a delicious meal. Great atmosphere, food, wine selection, and service. This was our first visit and we highly recommend!
Fantastic food and service. The flat iron steak was flavorful. Our waiter was very attentive. I would certainly dine there again.
Food marginal for the price. Staff not well trained.
The food was fantastic. A little pricey but not so much so that we would not eat there again. A great place for couples. My only complaint and the reason I gave it a 4 star review was the ambiance was a bit dark. Where they sat us was another bar that had been closed, probably because of the pandemic, but it created an ambiance of being in a place half shut down.
Tough review with the knowledge of staff shortages in the industry but our service was incredibly slow. It was hard to get a drink, follow up from our server was very slow. She forgot our to put our order in when she took it and since she didn’t write it down, she blamed the kitchen 25 minutes later and asked for it again. Half or our four top liked their dish.
The restaurant wasn’t that busy, manager was seen from a distance but didn’t look like they were helping.
Small space and all the other tables were quiet so talking a normal tone felt awkward, like we were loud . Probably best to play some music to help balance the sound out.
Very friendly staff!
Excellent food and even more excellent service. Server was so friendly and conversive.
Great spot in downtown to unwind and chat business for a bit. Great candied bacon and Brussels sprout apps! Amazing lamb shepherds pie!!
All of the food was very salty with the exception of the broccolini that had absolutely no seasoning. Our server came to the table and didn’t introduce herself, asked for our drink order and then went to leave but i asked her if we could order an appetizer. Dirty plates weren’t cleared from the table, and the wine glasses that were on the table when we first arrived were not cleared untill we were almost done with dinner. The table was crowded with dirty plates and the wine glasses that should have been cleared when we ordered cocktails and not wine. I’ll never return.
