The chef rocks! Best mole dishes I have had outside or Oaxaca Mexico! Gourmet cuisine at affordable prices and whimsical ambience!
What a fabulous place to dine!! The staff make the place perfect for anyone :-)
Great food and cocktails.
The food here is fabulous. The flavors are nuanced and complex and utterly delightful.
The outdoor patio is large and pleasant with wonderful music piped outside. Don't miss
the raspberry mojitos, they are delicious.
Great drinks, delicious food (calamari appetizer and octopus and shrimp salad was amazing), nice ambiance (with great decor), great service. Loved it.
Appetizers and drinks excellent. One entree excellent one entree below par meat tough. Service slower in these post pandemic times with thin staff. We have frequented this restaurant many times over the years and the restaurant has always been excellent. The staff that was there worked extremely hard on the crowded evening. We will return hopefully on a less crowded night
Outstanding service and food. Had a skirt steak with a nice rioja - incredible! Highly recommend.
This place is a hidden gem in Denver. The staff is professional and courteous. The food is unique and outstanding. I’ve had the beef tenderloin and duck breast and loved them both. The mussels are very tender and delicious.
Really great food! Can’t believe more people weren’t in there.
My wife and came to Denver for our anniversary and came here for dinner. We loved every moment of being here. Our waitress was amazing ! Energetic and attentive .. the owner came out and talk to us! He was awesome . I definitely recommend this place
Exceptional food not your typical Denver Mexican. Great black bean soup.
This is a hidden downtown gem. We often walk by it and decided to give it a go. Service and food were excellent. Great patio as well. Nice quiet location for those wanting to skip the chaos and touristy crowds on the 16th St Mall and Lodo.
Zocalito strikes me as place that once served really good food. Now it seems they just don't care. The place is nice, great indoor and outdoor seating. I hope Zocalito wakes up and starts to get back its groove, because the ship is sinking.
My girlfriend and I took our first opportunity to eat out in 8 months. Zocalito was the only place where we could find a table, but it turned out to be a great opportunity. we weren't quite sure what to expect of Oaxacon cuisine, but were pleasantly surprised. the spices were different than other upscale Mexican food we've tried and were very good. We thought the Chicken Tortilla soup was the hit of the menu. We both had the Carne Asada and it was good - perhaps a little spicier than we expected.
Overall, it was a good meal. We would go back.
Perfect for a business dinner, date, catch up with friends or family outing. Mike and team have done it right. Authentic flavors with variety to suit all palates. The bar list is creative and delicious too. Probably the best mezcal selection in Denver.
We really enjoyed Moose, our waiter. He was a lot of fun. The food was not great--literally everything, including the drinks, had a smoky profile.
Fantastic food and service!
Awesome find! Fantastic and creative food!
The food is excellent. Great cocktails as well - I look forward to going again soon.
Really enjoyed the dinner we had at Zocalito. The food was really good (especially the apps). Only con was that the drinks took a really long time to get after ordering.
Inside a corporate building so I was paying $35 a plate to stare a a starbucks from my table. The servers were ready to go home by the time my table was seated so our service was sub-par. Food flavors were not amazing - overpriced IMO
The food was outstanding. We all ordered different dish so we could tried everything and all were absolutely delicious. I'm surprised I haven't heard of this restaurant before. Almost everything can be made GF if you have a gluten allergy which some people at our table did. Definitely going back soon!!!
Superb authentic and unique!!!
Wonderful date night!!!!
Everything was great, would certainly go here again
Opentable was wrong and confirmed an outside table and they are closed for in person. Had to try 4 other restaurants before getting a spot for a first date which certainly added undue stress. I will say however that despite it not being the restaurant’s fault in the slightest the staff was extremely apologetic and kind. Will definitely go back when restaurants loosen up again solely based on that.
We went to celebrate my birthday and they were not open even though I was able to make a reservation on Open Table. I called the restaurant and left a message but no one ever called me back.
Very accommodating with food allergies but felt entrees were very over priced.
Great place, good attentive service
Amazing food and service. The staff provided excellent service and was very attentive to our needs. I ordered a drink that was too sweet for me and they noticed I was not drinking It and changed it. The food was delicious and would recommend to anyone.
Poor value for money
Outside seating was very comfortable. The food was delicious and our server was great! We will definitely be returning on our next trip to Denver.
The food was so delicious, from the cocktails to the appetizers and main course. Service was on point, perfect outdoor dining spot. Definitely recommend giving this place a try, not one thing I'd send back. They followed Covid protocol and made you feel welcome and safe.
Fantastic food and service! House made margaritas with fresh squeezed lime juice for the win! I loved the look and feel of this restaurant. I will be back soon!
I try not to give negative reviews during COVID but this was one of the worst experiences I have had dining. We had a table for 4 reserved for outdoor dining this past Saturday. The server told us that they were understaffed, with only one bartender and one person in the kitchen, so orders would be served slower than usual. We said we understood. She took our order for starters and drinks—and we waited, and waited, and waited. It took at least 30 minutes for drinks to arrive and she brought an incorrect cocktail and a different wine than we ordered. We accepted them anyway. And then . . . It was nearly 2 hours from when we were seated before our starters were served. 2 hours. The same was true for other tables. And they kept seating people even though they could not keep up with demand from those already seated. We paid for the starters and beverages and left without ordering entrees. By then most other restaurants were closed. While the server could have done more to keep us informed, this was mostly a failure of management and staffing, seating too many customers when they clearly were unable to keep up with demand.
Times are tough for restaurants for sure. Even so, it is unacceptable to leave patrons in the lurch like this. I hope they can do better.
My boyfriend and I went to dinner here because of the reviews online & look of the ambience. We were hoping for a chill low key amazing Date night. We were absolutely impressed & more than happy we chose to come here. From the freshly made corn tortillas to the authentic cheeses and spices throughout our 3 course dine. Highly recommend & will be Back.
One of the best mezcal old fashioned I've had! The bean dip special was muy rico as well. The patio was super spacious with nice views of the city. Great for a beautiful dinner in downtown Denver!
We were given a reservation through Open table but the restaurant was closed when we got there at least 15 minutes before our reservation time.
Delicious Oaxaca cuisine with a beautiful downtown setting.
Great food, great service. We’ll go back.
Great food, really unique. Enjoyed ourselves very much.
