An Evening with Farokh Engineer at Vatavaran Date: Wednesday, 9th July 2025 Time: From 7:00pm Tickets: £80 per person (includes 3-course dinner & 2 drinks) ________________________________________ Join us at Vatavaran & Shikhar from 7pm onwards on the 9th July for a very special evening with cricketing legend, Farokh Engineer, to preview the 3rd Test between England v India Our very own critically acclaimed Rohit Ghai has curated a one-of-a-kind menu for the evening, priced at £80 with a welcome drink. There will be a meet and greet with Farokh Engineer, a review of the first two tests, a preview of the team combinations & strategy around the Lord's test, followed by a Q&A session. Engineer was one of the first Indians to play as a professional in county cricket, he has played 46 Test matches for India, played first-class cricket for Bombay in India from 1959 to 1975 and for Lancashire County Cricket Club in England from 1968 to 1976. ‘One of the world’s great wicket-keeper batsmen’ Sir Donald Bradman ‘India’s emergence as a world class side probably owed more to Farokh than any member of the side, including their World Class spin bowlers’ Ray Illingworth A signed biography of Farokh will also be available to purchase by diners and attendees. In addition, Farokh will be auctioning memorabilia, including cricket bats signed by Sachin Tendulkar and MS Dhoni, amongst other cricket legends.
