I was so disappointed I chose Ultreia for our first girls’ night since COVID hit last year( we are all RNs). The service was terrible and our waitress, Ashlee, was down right rude( we felt rushed then she would disappear)! The menu did not have much variety( maybe it did but we didn’t get any guidance from our waitress), and it’s way overpriced ( Manhattan $17.50, small tin of spicy octopus $36). I will not recommend this place to anyone!
Went here for our anniversary and it was amazing! Great food and highly recommend the gin drinks.
We did tapas.
The mushroom and eggplant ones were excellent
The food was salty and greasy, and we came out smelling like we’d been soaked in a grease pit. Hard to breathe and our eyes were burning due to the smoky, greasy air. Do not recommend!
The kitchen needs a better ventilation system. My eyes were burning due to the cooking/smoke/scent. Clothing and hair smell after leaving.
Waitress was really good.
The concept is outstanding, the space is gorgeous, and the drink options are delightful. Excellent wine list, excellent set of cocktails. The service was quite good as well. And the food was good, above average, but this is not the main thrust of this review.
The problem had to do primarily with ventilation and the overwhelming scent of fried food emanating from the kitchen. Per discussion with the server, this is typical. The scent was so distinct and continuous that it became distracting.
After leaving, both of us had to wash our hair and clothing promptly as the scent trailed after us for quite some time.
Unless this was indeed a single unfortunate ventilatory incident, I cannot envision returning. It was just so distracting. The need to shower simply because of the aroma produced by the kitchen is an imposition not worth the experience. Considering the cost of dinner and drinks, it was an expensive and ultimately disappointing time.
The food is excellent! The spirit is to taste various appetizers. Try : pan con tomate, croquettes and patatas bravas.
The only negative point is the smoke that came from the open kitchen. I sit in the upper floor and all the smoke was there. I left the place smelling like I spent hours inside the kitchen.
We had a Mother’s Day dinner here. It was really wonderful! The food is elegant and very tasty. We love the tapas and the quality or selection.
We went for brunch on Mother’s Day and sat outside in a heated tent. Food was wonderful and service was great. We tried many different things and everything our server recommended was delicious! We will definitely be going back!
Took my mom for our first time on Mother’s Day and we’re so impressed with every dish!
Great outdoor patio, great service and original menu
Excellent in every way ! Great service and good value !
Some of the best gin and tonics, and small plates that I've ever had!
Great Tapas restaurant. Located by Union Station it has a great Denver feel.
Server very quiet, barely understandable
Very cold in tent, server would do nothing about it (didn’t seem to care)
No heaters, fan blowing
All guests visibly cold
Good brunch! Sat outdoors and it was lovely. Diverse enough menu that both our very young kids and adults enjoyed their food. The pancakes are out of this world!
We were so happy to eat outside at a restaurant! The artichokes, sardines, and sausage were very good!
Host and waitress very accommodating - table they initially reserved for us wasn’t ready so quickly offered us different one if we didn’t want to wait. Snack items we tried were fresh and good. Drinks were excellent! Staff checked on us frequently (but not too frequently) and service was prompt. It was a nice afternoon!
Food is amazing! Sat outside and noise is to be expected.
Wasn’t a fan of wait staff. We were forgotten about multiple time.
Awesome food. The bartender actually left to go get some mint for our mojitos which I thought was cool instead of telling us to pick another drink.
My friends came first and we're extremely rudely greeted, weren't given fair treatment, and their phone was touched by an employee without warning or invitation so they left. We did not done.
We were a group of here having an early dinner. We had the happy hour pinchos and drinks which were good. The dining menu was very confusing, so we had a hard time ordering. The prosciutto bread, mushroom and eggplant croquettes were average. The potatoes were disappointing; they were small potatoes with not much flavor. The worst part of our dining experience was to find that the only seafood on the menu were in tins. A whole section of canned seafood bought overseas and served cold. We had the calamari which was not good. We could not even tell it was calamari. This was $22 for a small tin, average price for a tin. We won't be returning here.
I will try it again! Love it!
Food was very good but the hostess gave us the rudest welcome, acting like we smelled and we were inconveniencing her by asking to be seated when we had a reservation.
They also brought us the bill before asking if we wanted anything else. Yes we’d probably been there around 2 hours (which I don’t think is too long for a party of four), plus there wasn’t a line and on opentable they still had tables available. And we’d also spent probably over $300 and would have liked a dessert and coffee and to spend more money there and maybe spend max 20 minutes more there.
Due to this I won’t be returning which is too bad as I enjoy the food
Flavors were lacking. Best thing we ate were the ribs by a long shot followed by the frisee salad and the croquettes. Pan con tomate was bland and watery. The patatas bravas were not crispy at all and needed salt. The meatballs themselves were okay but the orzo it was served with was flavorless.
Our server was nice but the restaurant itself seemed to be understaffed as they kept pulling her to different sections.
Wont be returning
Small portions delicate food
i've been wanting to visit Ultreia for quite some time and it did not disappoint. super service, food, and drink.
Loved the food. Will be going back.
Wonderful and unique flavor profiles, and phenomenally seasoned ribs. Would highly recommend.
We trusted our server to help us select a few items to share and it was all wonderful! A very good experience.
Ultreia is a real gem! The quality and taste of the food was incredible. The bacon wrapped dates melted in my mouth, savory and sweet. The brussels were addictive with their smoky crunch. And the ribs.....the ribs. I'll be thinking of those for days. So tender, yet bits of crisp where they'd been grilled. Unctuous and rich meaty flavor. Our server, Brent, was knowledgeable and on it! I had him surprise us with dessert and he brought us the house-made churro with chocolate sauce. Perfect way to end one of the most incredible meals I've had in ages. Cheers, Ultreia! Can't wait to come back!!
Favorite restaurant. Great service and food!
Food is amazing and top notch service. Sit up top for a quieter table
Great patio brunch!
Nice ambiance, enegetic too. nice wait staff, hot waiters, vibrant drinks & great food!
Just love this place..food, location, service. 10/10
Took my boyfriend here for his birthday, we had a table for 2 up on the terrace that overlooks the restaurant floor and bar. Our service from Kristen was great! She was knowledgeable on their menu and drinks and had great recommendations for us. We did the chef's dinner for 2. It's very well priced for what you get and gives a great variety of signature dishes to try - you must be open to trying new things if you do this option but trust me, it will not disappoint!
We had grilled bread + cheese with marcona almonds, ham + cheese croquettas, fried artichokes, chorizo, shishito dip, bacon wrapped goat cheese-filled dates, lamb meatballs + rice pilaf, patatas bravas + octopus, and shishito peppers!!
For drinks we both tried one of the gin + tonics, my boyfriend got the pineapple one, and I got one with lemon and chamomile.
Great food overall and well priced. Will be back for more!
Our first dining out after vaccination. And it was good one! Friendly staff, authentic tapas. The kind of bread you dream of (and we all aspired to make at home during the pandemic but couldn’t because we are not chefs!) This was a great date. Keep doing what you are doing!
Met a friend for dinner after arriving in Denver via the train. Wait staff made suggestions for drinks and they were fantastic!! Had the trio de jamon (excellent!!), the brussels sprouts and the mushroom dish. Everything was unbelievable!! The staff were super helpful and attentive. Will definitely return when back in town!!
