We ate at Tupelo Honey on our way home from a ski trip before we headed to the airport and it was just perfect. The location is amazing, food and service are incredible. The biscuits and homemade jam are to die for. It was easy to get to and easy parking. We are very happy we came and will come here to eat the next time we are in Denver!
Fantastic food and great drinks. Servers were friendly and attentive.
Poor service
Dinner was excellent!
We used to love this restaurant but it seems to have really gone down hill in the last year. The hostess is the first person you speak with so they really set the tone for the experience, and unfortunately she was just terribly unpleasant. Then she sat 3 tables at one time in our servers section, so we had extremely slow service by no fault of our server who handled it as well as she could. The fried chicken was so dry, we could barely stomach it. Shocking, considering it’s the focal point of so many dishes on the menu. The brioche French toast was a total disappointment, something you might get at a roadside diner, and definitely not worthy of a $19 brunch item in the heart of downtown Denver. Luckily, the bloody Mary’s were excellent, of which we needed many to help us deal with the freezing cold patio. The patio is completely shaded so there was no sun, nor were there any heaters, almost unheard of at this point during Covid and the age of winter outdoor dining. They could at least put a tarp on the fence that surrounds the patio to block the wind. We understand that many restaurants are struggling during this awful time, and make sure to get out to support them. But, the cost for our table of 4 alone could have paid for one $150 patio heater at Costco, and may have been enough for us to considering ever coming back.
Great food! Be sure to get the sweet and spicy chicken sandwich
Great recommendation! Thank you for the love! Can't wait to host you soon!
Good food & drinks, service a bit slow but overall a pleasant experience!
Love this restaurant. My partner and I used to go all the time before COVID-19 regulations and was excited there were limited indoor seating available. Great food, drinks and vibe!
Wow, AquilaR! You rock for this. Thank you so much for taking the time after your visit to gush about us! I sincerely hope I get to chat with you next time you're in. Come back please! Here's hoping for more guests like you! Team Tupelo Denver
Jamie was our server and was excellent! Food was cooked to perfect!
The restaurant was awesome! We had Jamie as our server and he was great he made the dining experience even better. The fried chicken had a great honey glaze on it and the cracklings were fresh.

The food was delicious. I would highly recommend dining here.
This food and service is always great! Its very close to Union Station.
You so rock JoshuaK! Thanks for the love!
One of our favorite restaurants! Wonderful food, drinks and service.
Thank you CressC! we appreciate the support so much!
The chicken was a little dry. The french toast was really good though! It was a fight outside while we were eating dinner, but apparently it happens a lot so there’s that. Other than that service was amazing
Visiting from out of town and the Tupelo Honey staff made us feel at home! Awesome comfort food (do yourself a favor and order the biscuits to start). My coffee cup was never empty, and I left with a full belly.
On an equally important note, we felt safe. We're going to prioritize visiting Denver again once the world regains some normalcy, and I can guarantee we will stop back at Tupelo Honey.
Great time! Great food! But get outdoor heaters. Could be a good investment in the long run 😃
The food here is amazing! I just will not understand how they do not offer a heated patio option. Dining in 20-30 degree weather is something they should be able to accommodate comfortably vs. what we experienced. Our server was upbeat and super friendly.. but even he couldn’t warm up the lack of heat provided. I would order takeout if you don’t want to brave the cold or wait until the offer indoor dining options.
Zero heaters outside so it was freezing! There was only one other table with people while we were there. I really think if they just invest in a few outdoor heaters, this could be a great outdoor dining spot. The staff was friendly, drinks and food were good, but it was just so cold we would only do takeout next time.
it was too windy and cold to enjoy the food
Amazing food
Very slow. We were there for 2.5 hours and only got two drinks because it took so long to come out. And it was freezing! Get some heaters :) food was good but experience makes us not come back.
Wonderful restaurant, staff and food. Can't wait to go back.
Cold with no torches
The waiter was EXCELLENT! He was working the outside tables alone and rockin !! He was energetic, funny and knowledgeable! Good work! The food was great too:)
Our waiter, Jaime, was the absolute best. We came in with four children and he was able to meet the needs of two adults and keep the girls entertained and fed.
He was kind, generous, and even made our salad "grow"! The food was excellent. We are sad that indoor dining in Denver is on hold. I look forward to returning and I hope that Jaimie is there!

This place was great! Our server was absolutely amazing!!! Jamie was so friendly, funny, attentive and just awesome! The food was so good too! The biscuits were delicious and I love the fact that the proceeds from the biscuits go to an employee fund. Best thing I've seen in a restaurant!!

Came here while on vacation for dinner on a Saturday night and let me start by saying HOLY CRAP! From the second we stepped in it was very welcoming. The food was so good we ended up making a lunch reservation for the next day, while we were eating! Thanks Jennie, our server, for making it a super great experience!

Mac n cheese bites were so good! I felt safe the tables were spaced well and the drinks were amazing! Nice ambience and great food
Delicious as usual!
We enjoyed brunch this weekend. This shrimp and grits and French toast were very good. The atmosphere is also wonderful.
Cool spot. Great Fried Chicken. Enjoyed the atmosphere and had good music.
The food here is amazing! The service and staff are doing an amazing job, given the circumstances.
10/10 would recommend ❤️
Thanks for the feedback Marium! We love our staff too and we hope to see you again soon!
Staff was amazing and food was awesome! What more could you ask for!!!! Loved the eggs Benedict on fried green tomatoes!!!!
Thanks for the love Cindy! We look forward to hosting you again soon! Cheers!
Can’t decide which was better- the food, or the service from Jenny. Haven’t enjoyed a dining experience that much in a while. Will definitely be back!

Mountain Harvest Bowl and meatloaf were amazing! So many flavors packed into their recipes. Nice atmosphere. Our Vegan daughter was pleased with the selection and her Veggie Bowl.
We are so happy to hear you enjoyed our scratch-made, southern dishes! We look forward to hosting you all again soon!
Southern hospitality at its worst. I was very excited about trying this restaurant. Made my reservation a week in advance. Being raised in the south I was excited to get in for some delicious southern cooking. Was disappointed from the moment we walked in the door. After being sat 45 minutes after our 8:15 reservation my date and I were on the fence but still looking forward to our dinner. The hostess promised a couple of free appetizers on the house which would make up for the late seating. Expecting the pace to change, our disappointment only increased. The waiter took ages to get to our table. We requested only water and even that seemed to exhaust our patience. We placed our food order and made sure to include the couple of appetizers that the hostess had offered. The appetizers arrive. We sat there blankly for minutes before our server came back and realized we didn’t have plates or silverware. I admit that this sounds like I may be reacting a little harsh but this review doesn’t have a happy ending. My date and I both ordered honey fried chicken. The staple dish at Tupelo Honey. This chicken qualified as the worst part of our experience which is saying A LOT because the side of brussel sprouts we ordered were horrid in taste. The chicken was awful. I need to make sure to mention that halfway through our meal the hostess actually began vacuuming the inside of the restaurant directly behind our table. It was loud. This was the icing on the cake. We ate what we could and then waited quite some time before anyone came back to check on us. Dessert was still in question but my date made the executive decision to get the check out of fear of having to sit in this restaurant for another hour. When the check arrived I realized quickly that the “free” appetizers we were promised for our extensive wait were actually not free whatsoever. I waited around to ask about the error but to my surprise our waiter was no where in sight. I cut my losses and we left. Waste of time.
Everything was great! Only thing I could ask for is that my food was hotter temperatures
Hi Douglass702, Thank you for the feedback and a great rating! We are happy to re make anything that is not up to standard. I promise we will make it even better next time. Please don't hesitate to reach out to a manager or your server next time so we can fix it! You rock, Team Tupelo Denver
The food and service were mediocre at best. All of the food was served lukewarm and the grits were cold.
Tupelo Honey was delicious! It is always hard for me to find a Southern comfort style restaurant that has vegetarian options that aren't just creating a meal from sides or macaroni and cheese. I had their southern veg bowl and my husband had fried chicken and we both loved it!
Thanks Haley! We are looking forward to hosting you again soon!
