   We loved it, Andrew was very attentive and had a great suggestion for wine. Between the 6 of us we tried all the dishes and they were all wonderful and fresh tasting. We had a theater to go afterwards and they kept us on time. We will be back.

   How Trestle has a Bib Gourmand is beyond us. The food was mediocre at best, and felt very much like assembly-line cooking. The salad on the prix fixe was touted as little gem lettuces, when it was clearly an iceberg wedge. One of our party found the dressing too garlicky, one found there wasn't enough dressing. We added the $12 supplemental risotto for the table: the shrimp was too salty, and some of the grains were undercooked. The schnitzel was very crispy but also oily - and yet, parts of it were dry. The amberjack was underseasoned. the roasted apricot dessert was almost inedible - the coconut cake bits were dried out, the apricots were just sour, and the lemon verbena tasted like Lemon Pledge. The chocolate panna cotta was the best thing we tasted all night, but it had a strong coffee flavor, and the person at our table who ordered it hates coffee. as for value - we had one glass of wine, one beer, two bottles of sparkling water to share, and our bill was almost $300 (although this did include the tip - 20% is automatically added on.). So much for a reasonably priced prix fixe. Nothing about this meal said it was worth almost $100 per person.

   Great pop up! Highly recommend to go while they are still here. Service was fast and friendly. Food was fantastic and the price was very reasonable for a 3 course pre-fix. We did the additional pasta add on for $12.

   One of the best values for fine cuisine in San Francisco. I hadn't dined here since pre-pandemic times, but was thrilled to find the kitchen once again turning out consistently interesting, seasonally sensitive and delicious food - there is always some element of surprise (an unexpected texture, presentation or flavor element) that elevates the dishes here, not always 100% successfully but making for a very worthwhile experience. Trestle's prix-fixe structure, with a choice of two options per course, means selections in any given week are limited and so some diners with restricted diets or palates may feel constrained. But otherwise the combination of tasty dishes that lean toward sophistication, knowledgeable staff, and a cool, urban, exposed-brick interior ambience continues to be a winner. Portion sizes are appropriately modest, so sharing the (optional) fourth pasta/starch course(s) among multiple diners is a great option.

    Loved the portions - smaller but still wholesome & you can add optional dishes to share and it ended up being perfect. Service was super attentive and upfront-friendly. The dining time felt proper but we also didn’t drink anything so maybe consider drinking elsewhere if you want to drink wine and talk some more after dining or take your time with wine & food.

    Dinner was Suberb! An absolutely delicious dinner . Salmon and steak as the main course. Both the pasta and risotto courses to share were very rich and unique. Gem salad of Italian wedding fresh snd hearty. Loved both desserts but I usually do! All complimented by a very reasonable and varied excellent wine list. This is one of my favorite Trestle meals and I’ve been going to Trestle for at least 7 years or more! I brought our good friends to share the experience. As always our guests response is fantastic food, fabulous experience and keep this a secret so we will be able to get reservations to be able to return as soon as possible. Your resturant is magical. The service is unparalleled. We celebrate all our special occasions at Trestle or come when we want an amazing beautifully created and served dinner. We love all the staff.     Wonderful experience. The variety of dishes and flavors was impeccable. We were here for my wife’s birthday. Carlos was a terrific server. They had a nice card on the table and a candle in her dessert. We’ll be back.

    Enjoyed my visit at Trestle; I always do. However, this visit I felt the restaurant fell down in two areas. First, the room seemed extremely noisy making it difficult to even talk to the person next to me -- forget about hearing our guests across the table. Second, the ling cod dish was disappointing; the flavors did not match up with the other dishes our group ordered (which were excellent) and with those I've had in the past.

    We chose Trestle to celebrate our anniversary and it was the best decision ever. The food was delicious, the service was fantastic, and the atmosphere was great. The staff even went the extra mile and put a personalized chocolate medallion that said “happy anniversary” on the desert. Definitely will be going back.

    We had a good time but I was a bit disappointed. Maybe my expectations were too high. They food was enjoyable but some of the quality was a little lacking (like tough steak). I would think when you’re doing a tasting menu with smaller portions that the quality is better.

    Trestle is an outstanding value and I will continue to dine there. This was my 5th time dining at the restaurant. It is a 3 couse meal with an optional pasra dish for a 4th couse should you desire, with 2 option per course. The menu changes frequently. I always have my wife choose first and I tell the server I will have the opposite choice that my wife did not choose. This was the first time I have not gone with the pasta as neither choice appealed to me. My wife enjoyed her 2 choices, but thought the Branzino was dry. My Cauliflower shop was good but a bit bland. My steak was good but not memorable. We will certainly go back as we have had 4 OUTSTANDING meals and I expect that will be the case going forward.

    We use to dine frequently at Trestle before the pandemic and a couple of times during the Pandemic when they were at The Vault, but this time we found the food was not balanced. All the dishes were heavily salted. It was not so palatable. I had a difficult time taking a bite of each dish. In the past their food was always well balanced.     Unfortunately a big disappointment. It was noisy, and the service was great but a little too fast (I was aware of this from reading reviews). Food was really disappointing. Only two choices from each course so we tried everything. The cabbage salad was hard to eat and bland. The chicken main course was dry and not very special. The chocolate dessert was inedible it was so bittersweet. We ate our dinner in less than an hour, an experience not worth the taxi ride. The quantities were small as you would expect from Michelin level dining but the quality wasn't. They are trying to appear Michelin level but aren't meeting the mark by a long shot.

    We mentioned it was our anniversary and they did a couple of little special things for us, which was very cute. The price for what you get is bonkers (in a good way) even with the tip included for you. We got one of everything and everything complimented each other very well in each dish. I felt very attended to and the servers were extremely nice.

    The menu is frequently changing and we like that. The chef is consistently making dishes that are nicely presented and cooked deliciously. The wait staff is attentive and friendly. We find the whole experience is pleasant and uplifting.
