Met up with a friend from college to catch up after ~40 years. Had a few drinks and appetizers.
It was great - our service was great and the food was excellent. The old fashioned was superb
As usual the Thirsty Lion was great. Had brunch on Sunday with the family prior to the Broncos game. The food, drinks, and service were awesome.
Our waitress wasn’t very friendly, but food and her fast service was great!
Finally a place the whole family enjoys! The food is really tasty and fantastic from apps to salads to sandwiches and other entrees.
Fun atmosphere, good food and drink. Great happy hour menu. Jeremy provided excellent service on a busy night.
I hate to give bad reviews, but the food was below average. The 3 mini burgers weren’t good. The chicken Caesar salad was overdressed & the Asian salad was just ok.
To make matters worse we purchased a gift card for Thirsty Lion & forgot to use it!
The ambience was nice.
Perfect pregame spot before the Nuggets game! Food was a tad underwhelming but the drinks were on point + the servers were great!
We enjoyed our brunch at the Thirsty Lion! The menu provided sufficient variety without being overly large. We sat at a high-top table and enjoyed watching the open kitchen/servers - interesting to see how efficient the managers and servers were to get the food to the tables quickly. Our server was very pleasant and efficient, made some suggestions based on her personal preferences. The atmosphere was nice; maybe a little noisy (football game coming up, games on TV) but not so loud we couldn't have a conversation. Would have liked backs on the high-top stools, but otherwise very comfortable.
Will definitely be back!
We chose this restaurant for the wide variety of options on the menu and the high overall rating.
The table we were brought to was dirty and the hostess either didn't notice or didn't care.
We wiped it ourselves and ordered an appetizer, which was delivered promptly, but with no silverware, or plates, or napkins. There were some nearby so we grabbed those.
We ordered dinner, and again it was delivered promptly and was very tasty.
I would go back in the hopes that the service issues were an anomaly.
Great place to visit with friends and catch up
Great salmon salad and cold beer.
Nice to have an every day dining place in downtown Denver. Always consistent. Not the Outer Range or Weldwerks beers but good beer selection (Epic etc). The food is consistently good and location is great.
The Thirsty Lion is a good place to go to eat before a hockey game since the Ball Arena restaurant no longer lets you know if you got a reservation or not! The menu is varied and should appeal to all tastes - beers on tap are good - the only downside is that IT IS NOISY, especially prior to a sporting event!
Went to Thirsty Lion twice in the past couple of weeks for team lunches. The food was awesome and though it was crowded, it wasn't so loud you had to scream if you wanted to be heard. Love this place!
Great service and food/drinks were delicious
Location can't be beat.
Food was decent.
Plenty of TVs with sports, and the staff was very nice.
Good place if you're looking for a place with a variety on the menu.
Great atmosphere, lots of wonderful cocktail and fun choices. Service was perfect!
Service was great, food and drinks were too. We’ll definitely be back.
Great find in Denver! Adjacent to Union Station, it was delightful. Great beer selection, superb happy hour menu, service was great, nice ambiance. The menu had a larger variety than usual for a pub. We'll definitely go there again.
Appreciated the flexibility around our reservation due to running into traffic. Great food and service. A favorite restaurant when downtown.
Food and service were excellent! Fun place to watch a game
Great hh food
Great place for lunch, large menu, friendly staff. Fast kitchen with quality food.
We are here once a week. We purposefully timed our reservation for after the games ended knowing the sports crowd. We had to ask for someone to help us after 15 mins without seeing a server. It was then another 40 mins before two of our party got the glass of wine they ordered despite asking twice why we didn't have it. A simple glass of wine? Good was ok but waiter seemed confused and the burger one person ordered was the wrong one but we were tired of the waits and they ate the one the received. Seems to be a lot if new staff but overall restaurant management seems absent from managing the overall service levels. As local regulars, this was very disappointing
We were served the wrong bottle of champagne, and the fries were cold. They brought out new fries, so thanks for that :)
This is the perfect place for people with a traditional food preference with enough variety on the menu to satisfy a more adventurous palate. We sat outside and enjoyed the activity around union station. Service was great.
First time eating here, loved the vibe of the place and it was packed with people. Our server was very nice and was working his butt off but it was painfully obvious that they are understaffed. I recognize that the labor shortage has impacted everyone. Our food arrived tepid not hot due to the fact that our server had his hands more than full with the tables he was trying to cover. Even though the food was not hot it was still very good. His attitude was great and was very professional and polite. I will not hold this first experience against the establishment I plan to visit again next time I am in Denver. Like I mentioned above we really liked the vibe and feel of the restaurant. I am sure when the labor issue is resolved this place will be back to its top form!
The food was not as good as the first two times we went to the Thirsty Lion.
Good food good service
Really disappointed in my meal. I chose the ramen and was surprised to find that it did not come close to a bowl of ramen. Bbq pork belly, overly thick noodles and the broth was flavorless. None of it worked and it was pricey. Definitely not worth what we paid.
Good service, at times our server seemed distracted but very courteous.
The food was great we love thiz place. Service was wonderful
Great cocktails and the pork carnitas salad was amazing.
Their fish and chips are quite enjoyable especially with a pint of Guinness. The fish is not greasy, but the crisp batter makes it. Our waitress was very attentive and has a great personality
One of the few places we've been to lately that was not understaffed! Food and drinks arrived very quickly and were very good.
All good! But that says it all …
Came here before a concert at the Pepsi center. Great spot to watch the game.
Go to solid choice. Food quality is one of the most consistent in Downtown Denver area. Good for a group or family due to many menu options and restaurant size. Gets busy so make a reservation.
The Food and the Service is good. It was just really loud
