Mastro's Lobster Mashed Potatoes
Note that I don't like leaving bad reviews however for this being an upscale location, I attempted to reach out directly to management with no success (when they do answer their phone, they leave u on hold for 15 min+). For being upscale, the service here was terrible. Was seated at a dirty table, bussers ignored us 100% even after making eye contact, I had to raise my arm in the air (which was remarkable) until one finally approached and was quite rude and then ignored my request. They had plenty on the floor so being understaffed can't be an excuse. These guys moved furniture around the dining room as if nobody would notice a chain of chairs being pushed bumping into everyone. Courses were dropped out of order and some of the items were served cold when they should have been piping hot. You are charged $$$ when you can receive better service at Cheesecake Factory. Really disappointed in Mastro's - they've declined so much over the years.
Very disappointed with the Wagyu Tomahawk. Certainly not worth the money. Tables all together. Super noisy.
We celebrated our anniversary last night. We chose Mastros as a "special" night, it was. Great drinks, food and service.
The service staff and management makes you feel at home.
Love it! The food was amazing! & they also had live music! Very romantic.

Also might want to turn down the volume on the piano player . He sounded great but was so loud we could not have a conversation.
birthday dinner with friends
Great time with great friends. They were out of 3 of the items we had ordered so that was a bummer but overall food was delicious. If you’re planning on going just know the food does take a while to come out, seated at 7 didn’t leave until almost 10.
Place was packed and very noisy between the DJ singing and the guests. I’d prefer dining in a more quiet setup which I guess is one of the other dining rooms they have. Food was great but service a little slow.

Our server Dennis/Daniel (sorry forgetting his name!) was amazing. He taught me how to correctly say Veuve. 😂 Food was beyond tasty. Had a grand time. Was a bucket list dinner for awhile for me n friend and so glad we got to have the experience!!
Steve was our server for the evening & I must say he was AWESOME!!! He made my party & feel so welcome & his knowledge about the bone marrow butter was so GREAT!! My sister enjoyed her birthday dinner thanks to the staff & especially Steve!!! We will definitely return!!! Thanks for making a special night AWESOME!!
David was an amazing server. The bartenders on 1 st floor were welcoming and accommodating. The security guy was helpful and professional. The singer was delightful and created an unforgettable experience. Overall, I had an amazing time and enjoy my time.
Our server was horrible. She clearly did not want to be there. The busser saved the night. He was super attentive. Another young blonde female server brought my second drink because she forgot it. She also forgot every other request. Never checked on our meal.
Can’t go wrong with mastros
The steak was tough, nothing special, mojitos were pure syrup, not enough servers for our table. Restaurant is overcrowded and packed. The tables are so low that you get a back ache bending forward. The tables are really the worst part of this restaurant, they are at lap level. Makes no sense for a 5 star restaurant.

I’ve visited this Mastro’s location at the lower level several times but this was my 1st to the penthouse. It was exceptional! From the service to the food, everything was great!

The Penthouse at Mastro's remains the best steakhouse in the United States (eat your hearts out Chicago, New York meatpacking district and all other pretenders). Fabulous food. Impeccable service. 1940's supper club ambience. Only one issue: calling a place on the third floor a "penthouse" seems a bit extravagant. But if having a name that's a bit over the top is the only problem ....
Serve was very slow. Had to ask 3 times for more bread. Took almost and hour from when we sat to when we received our cocktails. I’m total a party of 6 took 3 hours to eat.

The food, the ambiance, the live music and drinks were absolutely fabulous. Our waiter an older Spanish gentleman is the only reason I wouldn’t rate this 5 stars, he seemed impatient, unhelpful and was in a sort of rush. He unfortunately made us feel a bit uncomfortable maybe he had a preconceived notion what type of women he thought he was encountering but he seemed to level out as the evening went on and he got a chance to interact with us. Regardless you shouldn’t come across abrasive in your first interaction with the people who you are supposed to be showing your best too. I would come back to the restaurant again but if he was my server I’d request for another one in a heartbeat. Everything else was absolutely fantastic but his demeanor put a sour taste in our mouths as business women.
The food is always amazing, we always celebrate our anniversary here.

Delicious foods like usual and great services
The servers were very nice. But the service was extremely slow. Took us about 45 minutes to get our bread. Took a while to get someone to get my check and took a little more to find someone so that I can pay. By the time my steak came out, it was cold. Had it send my steak back. When I received my check, they had charged me for an extra order of steak. Overall, unsatisfactory.

DO NOT VALET your car there! I dined here on 10/9 saturday night. When I got there, I was offered to have my car parked out front. So I agreed because I usually like to keep it in front of the restaurants so I can leave right away when I finish eating. When I got my keys, my left rear door window was open 3/4 way down. It was sort of odd but I didnt bother closing it since I thought the evening breeze was nice. Once I got home, I tried to close the window but it wouldnt work. I called the balet company since I still had the ticket that was attached to my keys. No answer and just some third party operator picked up. She said all she could do was take notes down and someone would get back to me. Come Monday still no call so I actually drove to Mastros before opening around 4:45pm. I explained what happened to Guillermo and he told me he doesnt know anything about it so he gave me Greggs number who is supposed to be the manager? Gregg did not answer at first and told me that the car was the issue. He cannot do anything about it. Someone clearly broke it and there is nothing he said they can do about it. Mastros needs to get another valet company to work for them or I am no longer dining with Mastros ever again. How unprofessional the valet company is. Went to the dealer today and they quoted me over $1,200.

Mastro's was overall a wonderful Beverly Hills dining experience. The reservation for 3 included my 84-year-old father, who has mobility issues and uses a walker. The early reservation and choosing the "Penthouse" worked out well. The staff was very accommodating and helped with getting him seated and storing his walker off the restaurant floor. The "Penthouse" open-air setting at sunset was wonderful. At 6:30, the live entertainment started and the performer was lovely.
The wait staff service was very good. We had a time constraint and they were very conscientious about meeting our deadline for departure. We ordered all at once, and the appetizers and main course came out in good order and in time to get us out the door on-time. The only negative was that they botched up our order somewhat. I ordered my steak medium rare (on the rare side) -- it came medium (on the well side). We ordered creamed spinach; they delivered creamed corn. That said, they replaced both items, but because of our time constraint, I was not able to eat my replacement steak. Also, some of the food was a bit bland - under-seasoned but yet slightly over-salted. But back to the quality of service -- I asked them to box our course leftovers as we ate to help ensure we got out on time and they did wonderful job -- they sent a bus-staff gentleman to come to the table multiple times and box up our leftovers. Finally, given the price-point and being a steak-house, I was disappointed that they didn't get my $68 bone-in filet cooked properly, but they took it off the bill (no charge for the replacement steak that I had to take to-go), and our waitress could not have been nicer.
