The Palm Denver
Book your next event with us
We went there Friday night for dinner with reservations for two. Checked our coats and were seated. After a few minutes a waiter came by to say hi and tell us he didn’t know who would be serving us but took a drink order for my wife. He brought her drink back and we sat there for another 10 minutes watching servers walk back-and-forth without anybody coming to say they would be waiting on us.We finally got up and went back to the maître d’ and asked for our coats and went to another restaurant. Not the kind of service you would expect if you’re going to order a $50 steak.
The Palm Denver is always a pleasant experience! I took a special person there last night and it was one of the best restaurant experiences I've had at a restaurant in Denver in a while. I not only would refer any friend there, I plan on going back soon.
Discussed graphic design with client, good food, staff, atmosphere. Will definitely go again!
We've been eating at the Palm since it opened. Something has changed and not for the better--the ladies' room looked like no one had checked on it for a while, we had to ask twice for a bread basket which used to automatically be placed on the table, the service was slow considering there were perhaps three other tables, both couples split a chop chop salad and in both cases the men got significantly larger portions than the women (seriously?), the food was good but not outstanding like it used to be. Wondering what has happened to change the experience we have enjoyed for so many years.
New Years eve .. never sure what to expect, but the evening and out dinner were perfect. I had the best Rid Eye steak I have ever had, and the kitchen accommodated my wife, by sauteing the Calamari instead of frying it, on a very busy night .. Nice job, and I thank you
I ordered a 9 oz filet but the steak was so small it could not have been 9 Oz's. I also ordered the wedge salad. I received only a sliver of iceberg lettuce. I was quite surprised at the size and quality I received from The Palm.
The Palm is my favorite steakhouse in the country. Food is always perfect and service is professional, friendly and sincere. They really are the best.
The Palm is changing and for me that is not a plus. I go to The Palm for the memory of how The Palm was in New York City fifty years ago and more. Most of the other subsidiary restaurants around the USA had enough of the atmosphere and the menu to make that memory possible, at least a little. The steaks were always superb and that was not the case this time. The rest of the menu was fine and as it should be. They were out of many of the offerings on the menu however - especially desserts. There was not even any ice cream. The service was polite but slow and the restaurant was uncomfortably cold in winter. Hang on to your coat or jacket.
Great food and service. Love their crab cakes!!!
We had a wonderful meal backed up by great attentive service
Been going to the Palm for 20 years, worst meal I have every had. The only thing that was not ccold was the wine. HORRIBLE Christmas dinner I nave ever had! Everything was severed C O L D. No plans to go back.
Great as always
Time to update menu choices
The food was terrible. The calamari was over salted and not fresh. The steaks were dry and one was seriously under cooked and full of fat. The mashed potatoes tasted like they were from a box and days old. Our servers were the best! They were nice, personable and attentive. However this was one of the worst meals we’ve had. Food quality is below average and certainly not on par with a steakhouse of this caliber. We dine out weekly at nice restaurants and were very disappointed with The Palm. The food was gross.
Took 30 minutes to get water glasses filled and went downhill from there.
Service was not good...did not see our waiter until 15 minutes after being seated! Had to ask him to clear table between courses, not the Palms usual...
Very disappointing experience especially for my first time. We did have reservations but the restaurant was not at all prepared to provide service. Unfortunately, we ended up waiting more than once for someone (anyone including a manger) to check on us, take out order, bring food, refill drinks, etc. Basically they were simply not prepared to provide the level of service one would come to expect with any restaurant let alone The Palm. It was our Christmas dinner and it was supposed to be an incredible night starting with dinner but The Palm missed the mark more than once with us. I would hope that the manager and GM take something from this and prepare themselves and their staff for anyone who has made reservations at The Palm.
Valet parking was very nice since parking is limited in downtown Denver especially during the holidays. Service was great and food delicious. First time we sat in the bar, which was still very nice.
Very disappointing for my first visit. We were there to celebrate a birthday of someone who loves the restaurant. We had a 5:30 reservation and were seated in a mostly empty restaurant right next to a large party that kept getting larger. The party was loud and not at all respectful of other guests. We had a hard time hearing the 4 people in our party. We had to ask numerous times for bread and water refills. My boyfriend asked for ice tea and never received it. 2 tables who arrived after we did received their food before us. Overall the food was good. Just not a great dining experience especially for the money we paid. We did talk to the manager afterwards - he said the large party didn't want to go into the private dining room even tho the party grew from 7 to 9 to 12. Take charge - why should our experience be at the expense of theirs?
Delicious food, heartfelt service and comfortable seating. Close to 16th street Mall and Larimer sqaure, a quick walk from many local downtown hotels.
The Palm was up to its usual standard. Service was superb.
We go to the Palm in Denver when we feel like a splurge, and we are never disappointed!
Family of six for Thanksgiving dinner. First time at The Palm and sadly, will not be returning. The food was “meh” and our waitress was just.....absent. I would understand if it were busy because it WAS Thanksgiving but, it was NOT busy. Support staff was exceptional - water refills, clearing the table and boxing our leftovers - this was great. Our waitress didnt bring our food, sides were missing, didnt check to see if everything was ok or if we needed anything. Dessert came FORTY MINUTES after our plates were cleared and boxed and one dessert was missing. Dinner took nearly 4 hours. We watched other customers come and go long after we got there. What a mess :(
Went for boyfriends 21st birthday. Had a great time and they even gave us carrot cake! Wonderful service!
The hostess was not very friendly
My hometown Palm will not disappoint!
We had a private room for a work function and the service, drinks, and food were spectacular!
Food was excellent. We were not sure what to expect. My wife had a filet which was excellent. I had the chicken Parmesan which is one of the best I’ve ever had.
Prices have gone up again at The Palm and more items have an up charge. Used to be a value place for a power lunch, but not anymore. They still have the best waiter in town, Ali
This was my first time at the Palm, but I wasn’t overly impressed - especially with the numerous other steakhouses nearby (e.g., Elway’s, G&G, Cap Grille to name a few). The steak was fine, but not really worth the price. The salad was okay, but I asked for no anchovies and it came out with anchovies. I ordered a Diet Coke, it came out in an individual bottle, no one ever asked if I wanted another, etc. Overall = meh.
Setting, service and food all fantastic. One of my all time favorites in Denver . I’v been here 5-6 times and they never cease to amaze.
The folks at the Denver Palm treated us like family as we used to being treated in all Palms. We visit The Palm in each city we travel to. So far 16.
My parents have been members of the 837 club for several years. We went to the Palm with family to have a nice night out. The calamari came out way over done and stuck together. The waiter was often nowhere to be found and was very disengaged. For a $57 steak à la cart, I do think I’m entitled to expect a bit higher bar in terms of food and service. Too many restaurants are doing it better for less money and with better service.
Had a very nice dinner as always. Start with a delicious bowl of Lobster Bisque and followed it up with an excellent veal Chop, sans the ham and cheese. It was cooked just how I wanted it. I had the seasonal gnocchi on the side. It was good but kinda dry, needed more sauce. I took most of it home. With a little gravy, I will make it wonderful! I’ll give the evening a 9 out of 10. Not bad. I’ll be back soon!
Food was excellent, service was a little slow.
The food was very disappointing. Steaks were cold as well as the sides. Not a lot of flavor. The restaurant was not busy. Unfortunate for the Palm brand.
Everything from appetizers to dinner, sides and carrot cake was great! Service was friendly, quick and attentive. Highly recommend.
The off menu Bone-In filet was outstanding. Jumbo lump crab cakes were delicious. We started with the beaf-steak tomato and mozzarella caprese and the flavors were bursting. We finished with the creme brulee dessert. It was obviously fresh, custard was firm and not watery.
Also of note was the Palm's Old Fashioned cocktail. Complete with Luxardo cherry, this was an excellent cocktail to go along with an excellent meal.
Excellent meal and service.
Steven was an outstanding server. Attentive and definitely knew the menu and the wine list.
