Unbelievably bad experience. From waiting without being greeted at the host stand for far too long, to being ignored at our table (while the restaurant was practically empty!), to being served $15 cocktails without a hint of liquor in them - YIKES!
Terrible service and not great food.
We sat at our table for 30 minutes without anyone even coming to our table. I can’t even say horrible service because we received NO service at all.
Had a half rack of lamb which was delicious, however, smallest lamb ever. Left and went to the HardRock for some nachos to satisfy.
Our food was pretty good - service was also good. We found them online, and ate there before attending a show.
They had several different servers tend to our table, and it was a little confusing because they didn't seem to have communicated with each other.
We arrived and the restaurant was closed. I saw nothing on their website or on open table when I made the reservation or when I changed the reservation the day of. Luckily found another option but very disappointing overall.
A small group of friends had dinner at Lockwood after an event at the Colorado Convention Center. The restaurant was only a few blocks away, though I would have preferred to walk farther for a more expansive menu. The limited Happy Hour was a fairly good deal, and we were all satisfied with our standard hotel fare: burgers and sandwiches. There is no need for a reservation - the dining room was almost entirely empty at 5:00pm on a Saturday.
We ate here before a show at the Bellco. Yes, service was a little slow but it was still good enough to get to the show on time. The best thing was the food! We had the Cobb salad with added chicken and the southwest burger with yucca fries. Everything was delicious. My burger cooked perfectly cooked medium. Get the yucca fries they are fabulous. It was so nice that out server was very appreciative that we were locals and that we were very happy with the food. So even though it in the loony of a hotel, I would eat here again if I had something at the Bellco.
I was overall disappointed with this trip. First of all, it's just a hotel lobby bar; the ambiance was essentially non-existent. Secondly, the service was more akin to a neighborhood bar than one aligned with the prices. Third of all, two tiny tacos were $16. They were good, but they weren't mind-blowing. Generally a disappointing experience.
Service was slow, special order for allergies arrived incorrect and had to be sent back.
Met a former colleague for dinner. Happy hour was loud, but by 7:00 the noise level was just right. The charcuterie plate was wonderful, and both of us enjoyed our scallops. I had the sorbet, which was tangy and just right. Wonderful, down to earth, attentive but not obtrusive service. Also found a wine rated 90 in Wine Spectator, so had to have that third glass. No, I didn't drive.
We were supposed to eat at another place which was so noisy and crowded we couldn't stand it. Went next door to Palmer House and tried Lockwood. It was terrific. We will definitely be back.
Went for Mother’s Day. There wasn’t a host and we stood around for a short while. We got seated but our server took forever to show up to take our drink order. Food was great for the value. My only complaint is that some of the buffet items were lukewarm. Overall great food and experience. Would go back.
I can't leave a review about the food because the service was so bad that we left before the whole table could even get through drink orders. I had made the reservation online and yet no one was aware of our reservation. That didn't matter because it was empty except for a few people at the bar. The bartender was also our server even though there were other milling about. He people skills were so inept that we asked for the check for the two glasses of wine the folks that got there first ordered and left. The thing is that the table of 7 was an ex-bartender and 2 former and one present restaurant servers, so the shock level was even greater!
We went around the corner and had a delightful dinner full of fun and great customer service.
Great spot for lunch downtown. Not too busy and good location for business lunch in the Crowne Plaza.
The food was decent, but it took far too long to get the meal served, especially since there were very few patrons. Made us late for our after dinner event.
We were in town for a conference and chose this location due to 4 stars on Open Table. Disappointed. The hotel lobby location was not what we expected and food was fair. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly but we won't return
Excellent food and service
This restaurant is in the Crown Royal Hotel. We didn't realize it when we booked the reservation. So, it was more informal than we had expected. However, the food was excellent so we would go back.
I was pleasantly surprised with The Lockwood! I have never had better lamb chops, anywhere! I highly recommend! And the have discounted parking!
Food was just meh. Shortrib was extremely dry, too much sauce on steak and over cooked. I would go again just for the sorbet though. Expected more for the prices paid.
