Enjoyed the decor and food. I am always happy to pay top dollar for a good meal. The food was good. Not great. While I understand that the clientele probably don’t care about price, it was still over priced for what it is.

Third time visiting this restaurant. First two times were fine. That was a while ago. This last time we felt very rushed, the waiter literally stood over us until we ordered even though we told him several times we hadn't decided. I usually like to "graze" and relax with wine and several appetizers so I can try many different dishes. We were told we couldn't do that and had to order a full meal each or a minimum of two appetizers each (and his body language was saying make it quick)If not we would be ushered inside even though we were settled on the patio. It appears that the inside is the "Time out" room for the uncooperative patrons. I wanted another glass of champagne and asked if I could have the complimentary glass my friend declined. Our waiter promptly shoved the drink menu in my face. My fried piped up and said she would just go up and get her own free glass. He finally caved and said he would bring it to her, which he did, which I drank! Food was downhill from my previous visits and my friend who isn't familiar with the LA restaurant scene or the previously stellar reputation of the Ivy couldn't understand why I would bring her here. The policy of a minimum dish order and seat placement is tacky and insulting. Never again!

I took my wife for her birthday to The Ivy. The evening could not have been better.

From the moment I arrived, I had a lot of good impressions. I told The Maitre D that my wife was running late. So, he asked if I would like a complimentary glass of champagne. He gave me a good choice of tables. All of the waiters and service people were just very warm and friendly.

The food was fabulous and they brought us a fabulous dessert.

I will definitely come back to this restaurant. I understand why The Ivy has such a good reputation.

First time enjoying dinner at the Ivy. Have always enjoyed brunch and thought we would try the dinner offerings. Not disappointed!! As always food, atmosphere and service impeccable!! The lobster ravioli was overflowing with lobster and that coconut cake for dessert... There is definitely something about going to the Ivy, greeted with complimentary champagne and waited on by men in white with pink floral ties. It’s just the way it’s all put together that makes us return to the Ivy when we are visiting from Toronto.

The Ivy is always a good GO TO place for a beautiful brunch. Always touted for celebrity sightings, I have yet to see one. With that said, the food is delicious and the service is outstanding!

Very good food. Tight seating but nice atmosphere. I’m not a price sensitive diner but the prices were crazy. Spaghetti and meatballs was something like $34. Fish and chips over $40. There are lots of other great restaurants around where you won’t feel like you were mugged.

Usually The Ivy gives great service but this time our waiter ignored us, didn’t bring requested items and seemed like he was in the back on his phone the whole night. When you’re paying upwards of $400 for a party of 4 with an $80 expected tip, they should do better. We work hard for that money.

The chair on which I sat ripped my pants. I was told to talk to the manager who did nothing other than to take my number and said that the owner would call, which never happened. Instead, I was given three complimentary cookies instead one one.

The Ivy may have lost its celebrity status but we were thrilled to find a quiet table inside prime time on a Friday night. We rediscovered the Ivy through Open Table because of its incredible on the half hour availability on nights where more fashionable restaurants are impossible. Now for tourists only, the food and the service at the Ivy did not disappoint. A perfect Manhattan, the impossible to duplicate roasted vegetable salad is still fantastic, and a hot fudge sundae to finish, how could it fail? The roses are still glorious. Out of fashion it's true. Consider the Ivy now vintage!

Great service although I would have liked a larger portion for the price. The main dish was tasty but I did find the bread and butter quite flavorless although it was warm which was nice. It would also have been nice to have two separate washrooms assigned to men and women because once again the seat was left up from the patron before me which is quite annoying and unsanitary especially in a fine dining establishment . Our waiter was extremely good, knowledgeable and friendly.
