I try to come here one every time in I'm LA. I love the food and ambience. This time i tried coming in for Sunday brunch. I have to say I expected more!

I was seated inside for the first time. The place was too noisy and service was slow. I also expected more brunch options.

I rather stick to weekday lunches here instead.

Really a nice place, oasis of European influences. Service was good although I had to ask for my wine 2x before getting it.
The patio and front restaurant are especially cosy, the back part of the restaurant is lit too bright, too compared to the front.

All in all a super nice experience and well worth the visit!

Completely overpriced. Tourist trap. Avoid. Service not good. Snobby air about them or maybe even unfriendly and or not welcoming.

The food was excellent with friendly service. The atmosphere is elegant with different colors of roses gives the relaxing feeling of being in the middle of a rose garden with a free glass of champagne.

It is a bit pricey but the pasta with lobster and seafood dishes are very tasty with an excellent sauce. The swordfish with Cajun spice was very moist and very good too. Oh, and the banana split is a big desert with different types of gelato, fresh fruits, chocolate and caramel, it was sooooo yummy.

Will come back again for other dishes.

This lunch was exceptional from beginning to end. We had it all, complimentary champagne, great drinks, outstanding wine and expresso with Baileys on ice to top it off. Appetizers were the bomb especially the crab cakes. Entrees exceptional, the fresh sea bass was great, swordfish tacos & lobster linguini all great. Then we shared the banana split. What a nice time we had sharing this occasion. We all enjoyed ourselves and will be back again.

The lobster here (especially the lobster pasta) and cookies here and amazing, plus it is super cute but service and other food I’ve had isn’t really worth it. So if you go, go for the lobster it will not dissapoint

This was my first time at The Ivy because I always thought the food would be secondary to people-watching, which is not my thing. It was very crowded for lunch on a Thursday afternoon, probably because it's the height of the tourist season so the noise level was "energetic". Valet parking was $10.00 but very accessible and necessary at this venue. Although we had to wait about 15 minutes for our table, complimentary champagne was served in the little anteroom, which definitely made the wait more agreeable. There is an interesting cocktail list and a reasonably priced wine list. We started with a caesar salad which was good and they do include whole anchovies without having to request them. We had the cold seafood platter for 2, which was spectacular. The shrimp was huge and perfectly cooked, the oysters were fresh with great sauces, the two lobster halves were prepared so the lobster was easy to remove from the shells and the poke added a nice touch. There was plenty - no skimping here. We had cappuccino and split the red velvet cake for dessert. A great lunch and, despite the crowd, we never felt rushed. The service was great. Will definitely return. A perfect afternoon.

it was just weekday brunch time.
when i went there at 1pm, it was overcrowded and i was guided to sit inside.
i wanted to sit outside since i loved the ambiance of outside of the restaurant.

anyhow, the food was fair, good. and the price was high. but the portion was good too. so it's not bad.
but the service was kind of bad, since they were super busy.
i asked to give us the spoons 3 times, but he never gave to me. we had a big portion of risotto with butter spoon.

Beautiful atmosphere, food, and customer service was top-notch. Champagne upon arrival was a nice touch. I got the seafood pasta and it was fresh and tasty with a fresh tomato sauce. Desserts were good as well, with the coconut cake stealing the show!

It's a neat place, and well-decorated, as the pictures convey. Don't go looking to save money. Just go looking to get something unique from the menu, as they have lots of interesting choices, and to take in the vibe of the place. The service was attentive and professional, as it should be for a high-end place, and the food came out perfectly. A filet for my wife, lobster/pasta for my son, and a chicken dish with white wine and capers for me. No appetizer, but a pound of cookies to go. All in at $100 per head plus tip. We ate every bite, and do not regret paying for the nice experience

We were seated outside in a what should have been a neat table, watching the fancy cars pull up and wondering who some of the people were. The weird thing is that they have some sort of a large metal receptacle at the entrance which almost looks like a compactor. Maybe they had nowhere else to put it, but it was kind of an eyesore in an otherwise beautiful place. Again, we had a great time, and would recommend.

We planned a weekend in L.A. to watch the Astros play the Dodgers. We had some fabulous meals while in town, including at The Ivy. Nobody in our group had ever been before and we all loved it! We went for Sunday brunch and were greeted with a glass of champagne as we entered. We immediately fell in love with the decor - beautiful arrangements of fresh fruit and huge bouquets of colorful roses throughout. Once seated, we were offered the most delicious scones. The whole brunch menu looked amazing and everybody loved their meals. The meal was expensive but we knew exactly what we were paying for and felt like the value was good. We will definitely visit The Ivy again in the future and recommend it to anyone we know visiting L.A.

We were a group of 5, so we arrived and we had reservations but they made us wait for10 minutes and the table we sat on was ready since the moment we came in. Secondly our waiter was completely rude I told him nicely to put the food in the middle since we are all sharing he replied in an bad way as if I told him something bad and when my friend asked him to remove something from the table he said” leave it on the side” and told me to remove my phone instead !!!and he charged us 18% tip which he doesn’t clearly deserve it .. seriously the worst experience and I won’t recommend it to any one and the food wasn’t that good as I expected. This restaurant takes the award of the worst waiters ever!!

I've been trying to contact Open Table through the Help menu but get a blank page. I have a note that this reservation did not give me points. Why not? We made it, we went! How can I receive the points?

I had the scallop salad. It was very good but the long stems on the greens should have been cut to make it manageable to eat.

The fresh roses on each table were a lovely touch. However, it was quite crowded, noisy and extremely over-priced. Dinner for two, with no alcohol, was $100+.
