Service AND food was amazing! I highly recommend the restaurant.
Loved it! So amaing!
Great romantic place. Service is very pleasant. Food is interesting and delicious.
Service and food consistently good
Did not love the Caesar salad with chicken. Chicken was dry and I've had way better Caesar salads elsewhere. I prefer The Ivy in Santa Monica.
Poor service with overpriced mediocre food. Wish I never went and went to one of many restaurants nearby which are far better for the same price. Asked how the food was and I said the chicken was incredibly dry and flavorless and the response was “ohhh ok”. Wow. Unbelievable
Waited 30 to 45 minutes past our reservation time.
Then was sat inside instead of the requested outside seating.
Service was not good for a Resturant of this caliber. I asked for the bill 7 Times before having to get up and get it myself.
The Ivy was an amazing place in the past but unfortunately it’s not the same Ivy. Very disappointed!
Always great energy coming here, love to celebrate special occasions at this place!
We kept hearing the waiters recommend the crab cakes so we ordered them. They were small and not good quality at all. Meat doesn’t seem fresh. And the batter could use fresh grease. Everything else was good.
I've eaten at the Ivy many times over the years and the food this time was decidedly less impressive. The salad was not very tasteful and the Wagyu beef was very fatty. I'm hoping this was a one-off issue as I enjoy this place when I visit LA.
Service was excellent. Food was not as good as expected considering price. I would still recommend.
It seemed a little too much like a scene at first… and was hesitant about the food. BUT, I wasNOT disappointed!
The crab cakes and chips and guacamole were great! So much meat in the crab cakes so it’s not bread-y at all! The guacamole was also perfect. Weird combo but we all ordered different appetizers as a group haha. The spinach ravioli was amazing! The spaghetti and meatballs were also good. Nothing too over the top, but it was a nice hearty comfort meal. Definitely plan on returning!
Always a favorite place to eat. We miss the complimentary chocolate chip cookie(s) and the way cocktails were mixed tableside.
Everything amazing! We love this place and we always go for special occasions
Lovely setting, delicious food , good service,
I have been going for years and it is always a treat .
Beautiful location and great food!
Rudest waiter I have ever encountered. Did not want to answer any questions. When I was thinking about my choice, he told me what I was getting and walked away. I will not return.
Food was ok. Ambiance was ok. Tables are really close together. You're almost sitting on top of the table next to you. And the flies were HORRIBLE!!!
We love the Ivy. They never disappoint. The staff is always so friendly and efficient and the food is consistently delicious. We especially enjoyed the white truffle pasta on our most recent visit. A true gem!
It's a perfectly lovely setting. Wonderful for a patio day. Prices are high. My friend asked for bread 3 times before it finally showed up on the table. The tables are too close together so it's very noisy. And too close together for COVID times. The party sitting next to my friend on the banquette had 2 small dogs. Would have been fine if they were kept on the floor or contained, but one was practically in my friend's lap the whole time we were there. It's such a pretty place with a lot of pretty people.
Amazing. Simply amazing.
Staff, food, atmosphere everything on point.
Great food. I had the sea bass with curry. My server Joshua was warm and the team was attentive. Great lunch experience.
Very crowded. I had a reservation and was put at a table in a walkway. Waiters kept coming by and asking me to move my seat. This was very uncomfortable. We were finally moved inside and had a wonderful server that was five stars. The portions have been continually reduced over the years, no champagne on arrival and no cookies to go. What was once a special occasion restaurant has become run of the mill. The food was good, but I hope that the experience is brought back to what it once was.
I’m constantly underwhelmed by the food at The Ivy. I ordered the grilled vegetable salad with salmon on top and it was mostly lightly grilled zucchini chopped into small pieces, some chopped up asparagus, very little corn almost no avocado. If they were grilled it wasn’t obvious. The salmon was cooked well but the dressing was bland.
The food was lovely, but the service was incredibly slow. We felt forgotten in our tiny table in the very back of the restaurant - we did not receive bread, refills were forgotten, and we had very long periods before our waiter came back to check in on us.
The Ivy never disappoints!
Beautiful room ! Loved the roses ! The good and service was really good ! In general we had a great experience:)
Perfect day at The Ivy
The Ivy is an iconic restaurant. The Gimlets are not to be missed, as is thye deconstructed banana split dessert.
The crab cakes are just ‘OKAY’ and nothing special. Don’t believe the hype. The lobster pasta was delicious although the lobster and actual pasta were slightly overdone. Service was good besides the man at check-in who minds you no business unless you’re a Kardashain or a Malibu blond. Try once and don’t come back
The place is nice especially the surrounds. I just think for the level of quality and service, there are some better options pricewise. I didn’t think the lunch was worth $250 for two necessarily.
Cramped tiny place, beautiful decor.
Service and food exceeded our expectations. Rob our waiter was attentive, friendly and gave great recommendations. Will return!
It was a birthday lunch and they were friendly and enthusiastic
Very good food. Delightful ambience. Can’t miss when in LA.
Stunning as always!
Still plenty of fresh, colorful roses on each table. Wait staff anticipates your every need. Incredible latte, beautiful service pieces. Baby back ribs are perfect!
Rob… our waiter made our day special… corkage 45.00 too high… food very good… please put some affordable white wines on the wine list… lunch at the IVY … would be great again.Napa wines… plz
I live in Orange County and enjoy coming to IVY every time I come to LA. I always thought highly of them but today I was really disappointed in the poor service and treatment. After my girlfriend and I spent over $120 for two salads, the waiter approached us and asked us to leave as we were finishing our coffee “because someone is waiting for our table”. We were there a little over 70 minutes - This, on top of them charging $15 for the parking and refusing to give us a table in a less crowded area of the restaurants. The staff - all male - has a chip on their shoulders and look down on their clients - especially women. The food was adequate but not good enough to justify rude treatment of the staff.
