Un valor seguro que nunca pasa de moda y su cocina está siempre a la altura.
Great food and service in a cool cottage-ish restaurant. Pricey but good portion sizes. Anything with seafood is recommended.
Fantastic. Had a birthday lunch here with friends yesterday afternoon. Offered complimentary champagne when we arrived. We were given our choice of tables and seated immediately. Food was great, service was excellent. Atmosphere is upbeat and lovely. Complimentary birthday dessert was brought out by the waiters and done with class, no ridiculous singing or extra attention. Our party also had a small service animal with us and we were given every consideration, no problems whatsoever. We did call ahead to make sure there would be no issues. Highly recommend stopping by if you haven't yet been to this LA landmark.
Over priced and extremely bad service. Nobody from the wait staff made any attempt to serve us nicely or fairly. They didn't deserve a tip for how we were treated, especially when we spent so much as a party of 5 that reserved in advance.
Food, as always a big plus. Service has declined steadily over the years but this visit, it became intolerable. Waiter asked about water. We provided our choice. Before ware arrived, we were asked two more times by others. Guacamole appetizer was served. Guacamole fair, nit great. The appetizer tray was NEVER cleared after plate was empty. Entrees (soft shell crab and crab cakes) were served and were excellent. We tried to request extra butter and literally had to get up, crawl out of our cramped outdoor table space and find the waiter to ask for the butter. Desert menu dropped off with no suggestions. Took 15 minutes for waiter to return to take order. Food was 5 stars. Service pulled the entire experience down. The Ivy was not nearly as crowded as in he past in spite of the paparazzi. Perhaps there is a point at which poor service affects overall satisfaction.
always love " the ivy" on Robertson
! fun vie, great ambiance, great selections of food and drinks
Great food and service! Wonderful ambiance. A little pricey, but worth it!
Always the best. Great food, flowers and service
Love this place, always go back when visiting LA. Food great, buzzing atmosphere and great service!
I LOVE THIS PLACE!
When in LA, I make The Ivy a special lunch stop! It’s my favorite! I love the ambiance, service, and food. Valet parking is great!
They LEGIT served a vacuum packed slab of cod (i'm hoping, because it was slimy like tilapia BLECH!), listed on the menu as seabass for like $50 and, for our chosen dessert, a brownie that probably should have been thrown out last week. The ONLY thing good about our lunch, aside from the ambiance, was our own company and, we could have gone across the street for a MUCH better experience. I'd have paid the same $400 and wouldn't mind one bit. Byron, our server, was super nice, as was all of the staff we encountered; which, they should be because they surely know this joint is BS.
Oh, the powder room was nice and smelled wonderful.
We love The Ivy! It’s always a wonderful evening!
The Ivy has a unique atmosphere both on the patio and inside. The roses on each table are absolutely spectacular and the service is efficient and courteous. For the price, I think the food is average but I would still recommend The Ivy for an enjoyable experience.
Excellent as usual. It's always refreshing to dine here, food is great, service is exceptional and the ambiance is fantastic. Inside or on the patio, breakfast, lunch or dinner will knock your socks off.
I always have fun coming here but last time our server was not so good. We waited 45 min to just order food and another 45 min to get the food. It wasn’t even busy night (Sunday) Ambiance is great (flowers, people, decor and view) food is okay and pricey but they give you welcome champagne which makes the price reasonable l
Super cute & love location! The atmosphere is great when you 1st arrive with Christmas lit porch & a glass of champagne on the house. However. It went down hill quickly with Wait staff kinda leaving us hanging. The food was good but not exceptional for the price. Would try again but it would not be somewhere I would return again and again.
Waiter was great! Ambiance was excellent. Good delicious but over priced. I will return for the experience
Must have been short of staff....poor service....had to ask waiter for drinks, appetizers and ask for coffee to be served with our dessert.
Great food...pricey....poor service!
Amazing food with the best service
Way overpriced for a mediocre (to say the least) meal.
Over-priced food and beverage. Service was so-so, nothing to be wowed about. Don't think we'll be returning again.
VERY BUSY. ALMOST DIDN'T GET TABLE! BUT EVERYONE TOOK CARE OF US, ANDWE'LL BE BACK!! THIS IS AFAV. PLACE FOR THE FRIENDS WE WERE WITH, TOO!
The ambience was cheerful and welcoming. The food was delicious. The service was very good. We took our grandchildren and they loved the place. The champagne and cookies were fun extras!
I would recommend this space to a friend only for the food and drinks. It was extremely overcrowded, waiters were running into everyone, and I do have to warn future visitors, there is a dress code. An unspoken dress code. Think greek rush week if unsure how to dress “appropriately” for this space. The drinks were tasty & strong, the food was impeccable. But a second warning, this is a class level space. Meaning you will be treated by the staff & it’s visitors in a way that matches your vibe of class level. We were offered a free glass of champagne upon our arrival. We were seated right behind the table that was offering the complimentary drink. That being said we saw the waiter at that station giving multiple guests multiple servings each time they came back up. My boyfriend tried to ask for another since the waiter was passing out seconds, thirds, and fourths to the same visitors. The waiter’s reply to my boyfriend was, “no, it’s one per customer”. Ergo, I would only recommend this space to someone for food & drinks, and nothing else due to the way my guests and I were treated.
overall a nice place. A little bit overcharged. Tangerine juice for 15 dollars? ? Well, i guess I am paying for the environment. Lobster spaghetti worths a try, but still a bit expensive. Hope they can have a better dessert menu.
Food and drink were all over priced! A plate of basic shrimp salad is $39....I was expecting way more than that. I get the shrimps were flavorful but the rest of the salad were just some baby veges you can get from anywhere else for $8. I was "asked" to order a glass of mimosa (juice +house champagne). I agree to the order without asking the price. It was actually $27 for 1/3 of a wine glass. The whole experience was not pleasant at all. Will not recommend anyone to try unless you want to dress like a doll and splurge for your Sunday brunch by the street.
Love The Ivy. I can always expect great food and great service.... champagne through the door sets the tone for a fab meal.
Always orden the Louisiana black pepper shrimp (they are not on the menu)!
Great LA experience for visitors. The food is a bit inconsistent but good. Nice wait staff and we had a lovely evening.
This place had its hey day. The food was expensive and subpar. There's definitely better restaurants in the area.
The food and service was so amazing! I went back two days later!
always a treat to bring my daughter to dinner here when we are visiting LA. friendly waiters, delicious food, can't beat the twinkling lights and complimentary glass of champagne.
Solid restaurant. Expensive but good service and ambiance.
Always a treat....the flowers, the food and the people watching make the Ivy an “experience” every time!
Always fun and great food.
Four of us went for lunch. We had a couple of cocktails, appetizers, the salmon, steak, lobster ravioli and dry red velvet cake. Unfortunately, we felt the food was just so so. Definitely not worth the prices they charge. It was a pretty place, but just a spot to maybe see a celeb and to say you went there.
The Ivy was absolutely lovely! Our waiter could have been a little more personable, but everyone else was excellent
Table behind me had 3 brogrammers on a speakerphone conference call about designing another "disruptive app" (eyeroll), trying to woo the four other tables of scantily-clad girls taking nonstop Instagram videos of themselves. Then I thought I was going crazy, because I thought everyone was repeating themselves, but they were actually recording themselves over and over and over again, saying the same things in different ways, to post on Instagram.
Of course, the noise level kept increasing steadily as each table tried to subconsciously impress one another like some bizarre mating ritual.
Objectively, food quality was ok. Par with you'd find in Whole Foods cafeteria. Drinks were decent. Everything was overpriced. Service, while thorough, was big on guilting you into ordering more, and of higher priced items - at all times. Unrelentingly to a point where I almost told the waiter to leave. I have already ordered an app, side, main and a drink. Seemingly the Ivy revenue model is no longer based on returning local traffic, but of tourists who come once in their lives for the novelty.
I couldn't leave fast enough. LA is the worst. Somehow, now faker than Las Vegas.
The Ivy is such a beautiful restaurant - you are surrounded by flowers and lights and happy faces. The free champagne is a great touch and the food is wonderful. This is our "go to" restaurant for birthdays, anniversaries, etc. A little pricey, but this is one of the few restaurants that is actually worth the price.
