My first time there. Brought 2 friends from out of town and it was a wonderful evening .
Nice touch to provide a glass of champagne when you check in. Although it was cool outside, the heat lamps kept us warm enough. Nice, relaxing, enjoyable dinner. Service was excellent. Will definitely be back...during the spring/summer when it's warmer
Although we had a reservation, we had to wait nearly 15 minutes to be seated. They have complimentary sparkling wine available while you wait which made up for the wait. We aren't from the area, so we wanted to do a lot of people watching and feel the ambiance, but we were seated in the inside near the bathroom. Not the greatest spot. The food was delicious and service was good. A little pricey, but I guess that's LA. Would recommend if you haven't been.
Great food, drinks and service like always. One of my favorite places.
Christopher our waiter was a treat and the food was amazing!
We are regulars, for good reason. Love this place.
Excellent for any occasion beautiful
Outstanding. Superior service, gorgeous roses and fantastic food. I love the branzino. Great cocktails too... and I love the glass of champagne when you check in! The cookies are amazing. Love this place.
We enjoyed the food! Our waiter was funny and helpful.
We went to The Ivy after bridal dress shopping and it was very special for the bride and all of us.
Came in from Texas and Enjoyed celebrating my 50th Birthday at The Ivy! Thank you!
I have been coming here for years - we came the other night (it was very quiet for the Ivy, probably because it was cold out) and the most disappointing thing was from the moment we ordered our entrees, it took less than 5 minutes for the food to come out. As if it was already all cooked.
Always great ambiance and amazing food.
We were frequent patrons of Ivy at the Shore and Ivy. We stopped going when the Ivy overbooked one night and did not honor our reservation. But a few years went by and we wanted to celebrate our anniversary at the Ivy. After being seated outside we sat over 20 minutes with no one coming to us. We moved inside because it started getting chilly, and waited another 15 minutes with no one coming to wait on us. My husband asked the maitre d' to send someone over. The waiter came and abruptly asked "What do you want to order?" We were surprised at how rude he was. But we ordered and tried to salvage our celebration. The food came and the fried chicken was very dry. We did not send back because at this point, we really wanted to finish up and leave. The only saving grace was that a dessert plate with sparkler came for our dessert. The red velvet cake had no taste. The food at the restaurant is really over-priced and not that great. The service was terrible. The restaurant was not busy and there was no reason for such. We will not be back and we will not recommend.
Awesome food. Wonderful service. Perfect ambience.
Expensive for the food they serve but excellent service and food was Great !!!!!
Absolutely incredible service and top quality food. I cannot wait to be back! The staff went above and beyond for my birthday celebration. Thank you so much for the wonderful brunch dining experience!
just too cramped and too loud - felt rushed thru the meal
Was for a belated birthday Dinner, sat on the patio, very relaxed and semi intimate setting, great all around, very nice evening.
Enjoyed the Welcome Drink while waiting for our table (about 10 min).
The black truffle pasta was amazing.
Will be back for sure
Excellent food and service!
Nice food and service, location too cheap with too many lights
Waiter was cold and not very friendly. Only to the male until we said we were finished eating
Best Place in LA!!
Just so relaxing and wonderful
Mala actitud de su mesero
The was delicious - not a great value but the atmosphere and decor makes up for that. What’s not acceptable were distracted servers that seems to truly not care about the service level provided.
The Ivy is extremely overpriced for the quality of food. Everything we ordered was fried and had the same bland taste. Plus there are TMZ buses coming by every 15 minutes hoping to spot celebrities. There are so many better places in LA to eat without the overly hyped setting.
When I lived in LA the Ivy was my go to place. It provides a beautiful environment. Great food and wonderful service. I was in LA for 4 days and ate their twice. It is consistently wonderful. One of my favorites in the country
New Year meal. We booked a set menu with champagne and a choice of 3 courses but when we arrived at the restaurant this menu had been scrapped. We ate from the a la carte menu and the food was rushed at us with no rest between courses. The portions were huge and not well presented at all. The service was very poor and this was a very late booking, 9.45 pm. Then we were rushed out with an early presentation of the bill.
I have been to quite a few Ivy restaurants around the world and I was most disappointed by the whole experience.
Very expensive but well deserved dinner. They have large portions so do not order with an empty stomach! Food is great, and service too.
Great service from all members of the restaurant.
I will return
It was a fun place to visit and watch fun people in Los Angeles. That said, shorly after being seated , a guest with a pet dog was seated adjacent to us..with the pet right next to us. The guest was feeding their pet right from the table. We were not asked if we minded having an animal at our table area (it was a bench seat) At nearly $200 for a 3 person lunch, one should not have to anticipate this. At the end , I mentioned it to the waiter (which is uncomfortable as a guest) and he ignores it. The people watching and ambiance was fun. Just dont expect it to be a 5-star experience.
It was great
Lovely til a very loud party of 10 was seated right beside us.
Had to leave because we couldn't hear each other.
Fortunately we were almost finished eating.
I love the experience here each time. And the food is amazing. Everything is get tastes like it’s bursting with flavor, yum!
Felt a bit rushed, and service a bit hit and miss with several servers trying to look after customers on table. Main courses arrived before starters plates had been cleared which was a bit embarrassing.
We are regulars for several reasons: great service, delicious food, great ambiance. The Ivy never disappoints.
We had a fantastic roasted salad. The place is beautiful and so classic
The Ivy proprietors could learn from the Hillstone Group of restaurants by offering bring you a cocktail or glass of wine when you are seated, not 45-60 minutes later. It is a charming setting with great food and people watching, but the service is glacial. Guests will normally put up with slow service if they have beverages for the wait, which was a revenue opportunity lost.
