   Everything was delicious- wonderful crab cakes. The homemade scones fresh out the oven were SO good. My shrimp tostada was terrific. We finished w the insanely good red velvet cake. 5 star food. Truly a Los Angeles Treasure!

   It's hard not to be a bit apprehensive about restaurants known for their celebrity clientele, as were we. Instead, what we discovered was exceptional in every way, the service, the food and the atmosphere. We ordered a bottle of rose, not great, our server noticed and offered to swap it out (which we did). My wife's crab salad was overloaded with crab (and not overloaded with dressing, so often the case.) Every ingredient in my cobb salad was fresh and top quality. We were seated outside on the charming patio. Bottom line, The Ivy goes on our short list of restaurants to return to the next time we are in LA.

    The quaint ambience was a lovely change from the hustle and bustle of the city. Excellent food. I had a Fillet. It was a melt in your mouth treat. The waiter was awesome. It was like you were in a movie scene. Highly recommend this place.

    Had not been to this place for years, decided to visit for breakfast with an important guest. The breakfast menu is scant, the prices are ridiculous for what they serve, and the food was no better than what you would get at a breakfast buffet. I don't mind high prices for quality food and menu variety and creativity. The Ivy has regressed... will not go back.

    So noisy, you can’t hear each other. Too many people. The whole atmosphere is like you should eat in a rush and leave in a rush. The place is really pretty and you wanna sit there and enjoy, but that’s all. Only if you wanna take photos, go. Will not come back.

    came with my daughter for a celebration. Two vodka giblets(fabulous) but we are not usually day drinkers so couldn't finish-buzzed after half!) We share the following endive salad, seafood spaghetti and the brussels sprouts as a side. ABSOLUTELY DELISHIOUS! Finished off with a cappuccino for my daughter and they brought out a surprise (complimentary)dessert-small slice of red velvet cake/pineapple/scoop of ice cream!!! A day to remember. The Ivy NEVER disappoints

    I'm disappointed that everything at The Ivy seems to have gone downhill, except the price. I have ordered the crab salad many times, but this time, it was noticeably different. It has never had cucumbers and avocado before, and it was much more watery and bland. And $48 for a lunchtime salad is outrageous. Also, the new policy of not allowing 3 people to split the check is preposterous. Rude! I am "over it" and feel stupid still going to the restaurant. The scene is not worth it anymore.

    Unfortunately because it was Mothers Day there was additional seating set up on the sidewalk. Although our table was fine, it was cold and we requested a heater upon arrival as there were many on the sidewalk. We had to ask several times for one, although other diners seemed to be getting one. Finally I had to go to the front to ask a manager and then one was eventually delivered, although it rapidly ran out of propane. We then again waited for a new tank. This was disappointing. The food was delicious. I don’t think I would return for a holiday to avoid this.

    Servers weren’t attentive, continuously forgot my daughters Shirly temple, and to cut the heat lamp on. They eventually did neither after many reminders. Love this place, just not today. =[

    First the waiter insisted the cocktail I ordered was very small and not worth it so he talked me into a double. Well that was ridiculous for $38. It was an extremely large drink that wasn’t necessary. Next our appetizer was served with the main meal. Then my mom and I were pushed out without offering any desert. He said they need the table. Maybe they should have served us on time to begin with. Have been there many times before. I will never go back. $200 later (for 2) and treated like a peasant.

    I made reservations for Mother’s Day in January, four and a half months ahead of time for seven people, including my 90 year old mother, and we got seated on the street facing the street with all the noise and it was just a horrendous experience. I’m very disappointed I purposely made the reservation months ahead of time so that we would get a nice table and some nice ambience for Mother’s Day lunch which might be her last.

    Came here for mother’s day, it was a beautiful day, as soon as we checked in (we arrived 5 - 10 min before our reservation), we were seated immediately. The place was very busy, all the staff were very efficient, from the time you stepped out of the car to leaving. Too many food options, they served lunch and dinner menu after 10:30 AM (for mother’s day). Enjoyed the food. Decor was fitting for mother’s day, fresh roses everywhere. Even the staff wore ties with flowers. I hope to be back soon.

    I usually love the Ivy but this latest experience was not up to par. I think it was just to busy. The service lacked. My salad was to drenched in dressing. It had no anchovies like it use to. The Dining room was super hot. I’ll go back but not during a holiday weekend

    Love The Ivy been going since it opened. We enjoy everything especially the crab cakes , no filler. Spicy Corn Chowder, fresh shrimp cocktail, stone crabs when they have them! Lobster pizza Other favorites are fried fish and chips, Rickey’s fried chicken, best lime swordfish both grilled and or tacos, Service is great try to go often
