The Hornet has been serving the community of Denver for more than 25 years now, and it has become a favorite for locals and visitors alike. Located just a few doors away from Denver's finest independent movie house, The Mayan Theatre, it makes a great stop combo for dinner & a movie. Our happy hour kicks off each day at 4pm and goes until 7pm and features $4 draft beer & wine and also $3 off all appetizers.

Some of the top items on the menu at The Hornet include artichoke heart fritters, cheese and potato pierogis, prime rib french dip, honey stung fried chicken, cubano sandwiches and the lobster mac & cheese. The Hornet has a number of burger options as well. You could even have a private event at the restaurant. It is also nice for a date night.

Love the Hornet, and our server, Megan was really great at taking care of all six of us. Highly recommend the tacos and the ahi tostadas!

Great lunch menu, food, and service. My friend and I had a lot to catch up about. The Hornet's staff never rushed our lunch nor our lingering. GREAT food. GREAT service. Thank you!!

The chilaquiles’ sauce was very delicious and I would’ve never expected lettuce would go so well with it. A nice surprise was also the eggs on top of the popusa which was a nice twist. The service was great and place had a good ambiance

Very attentive staff. they even called ahead to check on special needs of requests, plus they called me after we left to report that a pair of airpods was left on the table!

Great Saturday lunch/brunch spot. Has a friendly neighborhood vibe with great drinks and menu. I appreciate that they have both their brunch menu and lunch menu available. Definetly something for everyone.

The waitress did not ask me how I would like my burger cooked, and I forgot to tell her. So instead of a medium rare burger, it was pretty well done, dry and hard. Customers should always be asked for beef orders.

What a lovely, quiet, unrushed lunch my friend and I had at "The Hornet"!! I had not been there in YEARS, having moved away from a close-by neighborhood, and I was thrilled. The MENU was extensive and varied; the food was fabulous; our table was spaced so that no one felt crunched into another table's conversation or occupants; our waitress, Abby, was very friendly and helpful; the entire atmosphere was conducive to having a great dining experience! Seriously. Re-visit "The Hornet" if you haven't been there in a while. GREAT!!
