Great experience and pairings. Great atmosphere and service
A wonderful night. Amazing food! Impeccable service! An overall fabulous evening
Quality, upscale dining, but with a snooty set of diners. Also during the ‘intermission’ we had the opportunity to explore the kitchen and speak to the chef, who was not at all friendly. I did not much enjoy the rigid atmosphere, nor the amount of space between courses. Also during the intermission a few lcustomers decided to smoke cigars on the patio. The smell tracked indoors to the main dining room and was awful.
Absolutely fantastic. Attended a pharmaceutical function the first time, loved it so much and decided to return with the wife to celebrate our 13th anniversary. Memorable cocktails, epic wine cellar experience and excellent dinner menu including the wine pairings. Can’t wait to return.
Everyone was really great! Great, friendly and accommodating service. I would definitely recommend you guys to everyone I know.
Amazing food and service !! We enjoyed wine pairing , special bottle selection from their cellar and cocktails at the bar
The Hobbit is a fun night out. It’s a bit pricey, so we just go for special occasions, but otherwise it’s great. The atmosphere is a bit quiet and reserved, so if you have a loud group I wouldn’t recommend it.
The entire evening from beginning to end was exquisite. The staff, the food, the wine, the ambience all leave you wanting for another evening spent at “The Hobbit”.
It was an AMAZING experience. Food was perfect sized so never felt overly full. Incredible wine selection
Beautiful as always! Love this restaurant! Great food, fun dining experience! An OC must do!
They never disappoint, excellent from start to finish. We love it with the wine pairing
The ambiance was perfect, the wine pairing was excellent, the food preparation was well done although not particularly innovative, for the price it was excellent. I would recommend this place to anyone. It would have been more fun with a group of 4 or more due to the setup.
Another perfect dining experience! Will be back for sure.
It’s a lovely restaurant with excellent food and service. Just be aware that it is an experience rather than a normal restaurant where you order, eat and then leave. Plan on spending several hours there. The menu is prefix and served in leisurely courses. No jumping ahead or rushing courses. The entree wasn’t served until almost ten o’clock. It was a very long but nonetheless nice evening.
The Hobbit did not disappoint. The food was excellent and the cocktails at the beginning hour was superb. It is a dining experience as it is not a quick dinner but well worth the time and money.
This is one of the most unique dining experiences I have ever had. The food was amazing & the service fantastic. I highly recommend this restaurant to all. It’s hard to get a reservation, but well worth the wait. The only suggestions I have would be for them to offer a wine pairing selection to go with the courses at an additional cost. Also, maybe add a communal table for those guests who want to interact more with other diners.
Highly recommended. Make sure you arrive in time to have a drink in the upstairs bar. The food was excellent as was the staff. We'll be back.
I enjoyed it very much although I had been long ago and the upstairs room had a bar open during intermission. This made the intermission a memorable part of the night. I had bragged about how great the experience was and the bar at intermission was a big part... This time the bar was closed... why is there an intermission if there is no particular memory for your client? I left a little bummed for that reason.
Fancy meal, you start with champagne and apps in the wine cellar where you can pick a bottle of wine to eat with your meal, or do a pre-selected wine tasting, or just have non-alcoholic drinks like water. Then you begin your dining experience, very fancy food and looks pretty.
Great place! Will definitely go back. Excellent food and wine
Wonderful experience. This was our third time at this restaurant.
It was amazing. Quite the experience, ambience is sophisticated and at the same time gives a homey feeling. Staff is knowledgeable and eager to explain the history of the establishment. Definitely will be coming back. Loved every minute. Also thankfully towards customer service, I feel they made a real effort... called weeks in advance to check on allergies and to accommodate spectacularly
This used to be a house. So upstairs there's still a full tub bathroom and two rooms that they use; one for the bar and one as a lounge area. The lounge area has a little balcony you can walk on to. It's tiny but cute. The room with the bar is dimly lit. The drinks are strong and delicious. Once they are ready they call you to the cellar. Wine bottles line the walls. The lowest priced is $50 then goes up, to way up, from there. There are apps through out. Everything I tasted was yummy. And they keep your champagne glasses filled, as you eat, check out the wines and mingle. Then they let you know dinner is ready and bring you back upstairs to where you first entered. There are two dinning room areas. I loved that we were in the larger one with the fireplace. The decor is lovely and again dimly lit. The scallops and shrimp were so delicious. The salad was good. The beef Wellington was the main dish our night. It was delicious. $95 for everything, minus the bar at the beginning that's extra. If you pick wine with dinner that's extra. I feel for the unlimited hor derves and unlimited champagne pours, depending how you drink - coupled with the decor and each course being delicious this is an ok price. I personally would love to go back.
Fantastic experience!!!!! Go!!
Elegance and exquisite cuisine. The Hobbit is not just a dinner, but an experience.
Great dining experience! The staff was friendly and the food was very good. I would go back again for the dining experience.
So what was listed as filet mignon was actaully beef wellington.. and in my mind those are no where cloose to each other...so my main course was something we didnt ask for, this combined with a very large spider climbing up my wifes table colth during our meal didnt help thw situation ..stafg service was good..but not getting what you expect for food and not getting an i am sorry for large bugs bothering you...and at the pirce paid. No thanks!!!
Great food, great atmosphere, an all around great special occasion experience! Just be prepared to shell out some cash.
Everything was delicious! There were many appetizers to graze on before the meal. Courses were timed perfectly. We never felt rushed nor did we have to wait a long time between each course. The servers were great and paid attention to detail.
I can’t wait to go again.
This is the place to come for an exquisite dining experience. First the cocktail hour and lounging, then delicious hors d’oeuvres and champagne in the cellar to select wine with dinner. Then the dining experience itself, which includes seven exquisite courses, and an “intermission” before the main course. It is an entire evening, so be prepared to spend a few hours, and be hungry! The staff are all incredible. The cost is substantial but the experience is just amazing. We come here for only our most special occasions.
I always love dining here. The food is amazing, the wine pairing is superb and the ambiance is perfect! I wish it wasn’t so expensive, or else I’d be back more than my typical once a year. Regardless, it is worth the price.
The Hobbit exceeded every expectation. Dinner was exquisite and the atmosphere was perfect for an intimate anniversary meal. The staff was attentive and the sommelier was extremely knowledgeable and had paired wines that perfectly complimented every bite.
Wife and I went for our 2nd anniversary, and as usual staff at The Hobbit did not disappoint. Cocktails, atmosphere, wine list, meal, servers, chef... you name it and this place is #1 at it. This continues to be our favorite extra special occasion date spot, and I am already looking forward to returning .
The concept and ambiance is very nice and unique. A little too quiet, if I do say so myself. A lot more for the older crowd that wants peace and quiet. Ended up being pricey and hard to break down the math when the receipt was hand written so we felt a little ripped off. Each had a drink and ordered a bottle of wine that was $125 split between five people and the bill ended up being $200 a person.
The meal literally takes four hours to serve. Extremely slow and since they don’t let you raise your volume, not sure what they want you to do during the breaks. I would say if they had made the meal quicker or at least appeal to the younger crowd, i would definitely recommend.
Would I come back? Not likely.
This was such a wonderful dining experience! We truly enjoyed the atmosphere and exceptional food.
Truly an unique dining experience. Loved how they separate the night into different acts. Everything from the Hobbit champagne and hordeurves that you’re greeted with at the wine cellar all the way to the wines and rest of the dishes at the main dining room were perfection. Service was excellent and the ambiance perfectly removed you far away from normal life. Highly recommend and will be back.
A wonderful night celebrating my husband’s 60th birthday. David, our waiter, was awesome! We all had a great time.
I love this place. Whether for a small or large event or special occasion - it's amazing!!
An outstanding meal. Worth every penny for the dining experience.
