Great date night. Busy LoHi spot and unexpected find. Attentive service. Wonderful cuisine. Notable wine list.
Marvelous food and great service. Difficult to hear discussions with those in my party due to noise level.
Our favorite place. Incredible service from the beautiful Hannah, exceptional menu, and team vibe is so warm and welcoming!
Fabulous service and amazing food! Enjoy our interactions with the staff.
Fantastic food, service and ambiance. One of my favorite new places in Denver.
The food and experience were exceptional! But you do pay for what you get. Even though it's a little pricey, absolutely worth it
The entire experience was great! The service was just right. Not overly done but very attentive; like restaurants in Europe. The Wagyu candle was delicious… The short rib was easily in my top 3 favorites. The muscles were perfectly cooked. The Humboldt Fog cheese with puff pastry (desert) was divine. We can’t wait to do it all over!
Amazing food, great chef, love Amos Watts, a real talent
Great restaurant, Excellent service. The food was good it just didn't impress my wife and I, especially for the price.
One of my favorite dining experiences in Denver. The service and staff are engaging, knowledgeable and attentive. The chef and team always bring the best of the best to the experience. 10-10 always!
It was just ok but VERY overpriced. The most expensive meal I’ve had in a really long time. Not worth the money at all.
Amazing NYE dinner! Perfect in every way
Thank you Hannah for making it special
The food and hospitality is always top notch
Wonderful in every respect. Food was so good, we are already planning what to eat on the next visit. Service is spectacular. Our favorite!
Absolutely delicious. We did the Prix-fix Menu. Wonderful to taste all the different dishes, but we were way too full by the end of the meal. The tallow candle is also exceptional and fun! Highly recommend.
Everything was perfect per usual. The new menu items we tried were sublime
Got married at the restaurant. That's what you do during Covid. Staff was amazing. Made the evening as special as it could have been.
Best food in Denver!
Our experience at Fifth String was pretty hit or miss. Some dishes were really great and some missed the mark. The server was super friendly and engaging, but the meal timing was kind of weird. We ordered drinks right away and it took longer than expected for them to make it to our table. After we were complete with our dessert, we just kind of sat there for longer than normal waiting for the bill. In terms of the food: for the price and the rave reviews from folks in the Highlands, I was expecting way better. We had the Sagnaki and homemade bread and cultured butter to start. Both were really tasty. I had a couple oysters and a shrimp cocktail. They were fine. The Hamachi Crudo was good, but there was something missing in terms of how the flavors of the dish meshed. Same with the crispy cauliflower appetizer - it was heavily breaded and kind of bland. Same the with (expensive) Wagyu Beef entree. Total miss. The meat itself was not super tasty and the white sauce (not sure what it consisted of) pulled the whole dish down. Having said that, when the server asked me how it was, I was honest and said it was a miss. They offered me a different entree, but at that point I was most of the way through the meal and getting full, so declined. They did subtract my martini off the bill, which was very thoughtful and made a difference in the experience. Not sure I'd go back for a full meal, but might hit the bar side for select appetizers.
I went to Old Major once and never went back because the servers we all arrogant know-it-alls. I don’t even remember the food. Thank goodness The Fifth String changed all that. The servers were friendly and energetic and helpful. My wife and I loved the original cocktails off the menu although they were on the small side for the price. We couldn’t help bit order four different dishes ranging from appetizers to entrée. We shared everything And they were all delicious. Probably too much food but we ate it all. Without the wine the bill came to $250 for two people. I was shocked at the size of the tab. We will have to pay more attention to our order next time if we are going to be able to afford to dine there again.
The food is AMAZING. The waitstaff is SO NICE. And the vibes are great. While the food is high quality, the portions do seem a bit small for the price. The gnocchi entree had like, 6 pieces of gnocchi. Not looking for a supersized meal, just a little more on the main course to feel good about it.
Thanks for being great fifth string! Can't wait to go back!
Great dining experience as always.Amazing service delicious food!!
We had a wonderful time and really enjoyed the service in particular. We will be back soon!
Great food. Delicious wine. Wonderful service. Can’t wait to go back.
We wanted to celebrate the holidays, and the Fifth String fit the bill. Our server was helpful in breaking down the menu. I ordered the hamachi and agnolotti from the prix fixe menu. My wife ordered the mussels ala carte. We shared the pear tart for dessert. All were excellent.
Everything was beyond amazing. Great service, food, and restaurant design!
Always good in every way!
The food was amazing, we shared the beef short ribs - some of the best ever. The waiter recommended a red wine to compliment which was the perfect pair. The chocolate cake was to die for. Service was outstanding. Will definitely be back
A marvelous experience. This restaurant excels at its greeting, team service work and, delicious taste treats. Outstanding on every aspect.
Great service overall. Food was good, maybe too many added spices/flavors/additions to the mail ingredient but overall fresh and tasty. For example, the steak tartare was overwhelming of mustard seed flavor and the meat flavor itself was hard to detect. Interesting menu and decent wine list.
Best place in Denver, no doubt.
I don't know how they do that but their seafood is fresh. The waitress did amazing job. I highly recommend this place.
Birthday dinner! It was fantastic!
We were super impressed with this place! For our date nite we ordered one three course prix-fixe dinner and one half seafood tower with a cauliflower dish. Everything was top quality in terms of flavors and presentation. Highly recommend the Hamachi, Wagyu steak, and cauliflower dishes, and the chocolate toffee cake was divine!
Moms birthday and pulled out the stops to make it a special occasion for her. So happy with the Service and the food was exquisite. Don’t get me started on how excellent the drinks were. Overall you get what you pay for and this place exceeded my expectations.
Amazing food and service!
Best 3 course meal I’ve ever had. Service was 10/10. Amazing, will dream about going back here.
All around amazing can't wait to go back!
Beautiful food and cocktails. Hannah was our server and she was hands down the best ever!!!!
The food was absolutely delightful! Service was very prompt and attentive. Price is high, but worth every penny.
Phenomenal food, great service, awesome ambiance!!
