The Driver in King’s Cross is a modern Gastropub set in a beautiful building which has 3 floors and a rooftop terrace all available for private hire. Have a bite to eat in the Gastropub, adorned with leather sofas and reclaimed wooden furniture with candlelit tables. Or enjoy an after work drink on one of King's Cross' only rooftop terraces (if not privately hired), where we have a reclining roof, heaters and blankets to suit every season of the year!

The Driver's wine list is hand-selected by the owner and features many organic wines, and the food menu is prepared with fresh produce delivered daily. Menu highlights include the famous Baby back pork ribs marinated in a secret BBQ sauce with homemade fries and house slaw, and Classic beer battered cod fillet with minted pea puree, homemade tartare and fries.

    Service was really helpful and friendly, food was served very quickly and exactly as requested. I was so pleasantly surprised that I could have my hamburger medium rare! This is almost never the case! I was so happy I ate it too fast and couldn't even finish :) Even when we made a stupid order mistake, they took it well and were really friendly. I also liked the classy interior. So would definitely recommend! Prices are average, otherwise, in line with what you would expect.

    Great service and lovely food. It was a very busy pub so quite cramped on the table surrounding by people standing drinking so perfect for an informal rather than a relaxed dinner

    Staff here were pleasant and helpful. The food was fine - chicken burgers, a bit over-charred and certainly over-priced. Our guest's salad was a huge plate of leaves and little else. Still, we really liked the feel of the place, it's in a good location, and the staff did seem to care whether customers had a good time. The reason we won't be back, though, is the decision to have toilets for both sexes, rather than the recommended single-sex space. Both women in our party could do without mopping up a loo before we use it - and why was there a man using the loo, with the door open?! This new fad is bonkers, and loses customers.

    We had a lovely evening at the driver. The service was so good, so friendly and fun. Food was good, nice pub. Can’t fault it really.

    They had run out of several items on the menu however it is Christmas time and was very busy, the service was good and the food that we had was good.

    5 friends met for dinner and a few drinks. Great atmosphere, really buzzing. Really great waiting staff too. We ordered too many starters incl 2 delicious whole baked Camemberts so we were too stuffed to eat all the main courses. I had a turkey xmas dinner which was ok but a bit average. The steaks looked really good though. The food took quite a bit of time to come out which meant I had to run and leave the others to pay so I could catch my train. Overall really enjoyable evening there. Would defo book again!
