We realy like this place, and frequent it often, especially on Theatre night.
Service was poor, food wasn't great and value for the food was not good.
Little loud, but great food!
We went there before Hamilton at the Buell theater. We started with bloody Marie’s and then had the fried pickles. They came in spear shapes which was unfortunate, I was wanting the pickle chip types. I had the Brussels sprouts with honey and sea salt it was delicious!! I could have eaten them over and over. I also had the yakisoba noodles which were ok but it does have egg in it which they didn’t disclose since I’m trying to stay away from. The overall experience was positive and a great atmosphere, would recommend
Reservations easy to make for a before theater lunch; a bit noisy.
? Fabulous, totally fabulous food was s great. Service was fabulous also.
This has become one of our favorite places. Great unique menu, and great value.
Loud, service was slow, menu selections great, but food just ok.
Food and service great. It gets load in there and can’t hear the people across the table from you.
The service was slower than usual. The food was good, but not exceptional. It wasn't the usual caliber to which we are accustomed when we eat at the Corner Office.
Excellent location for a meal before or after a show at the DCPA. The mail dish portions are quite large but the menu includes small plates as well. If you're going on a busy event night, get your reservation well ahead of time.
Best crab cakes ever - and I am very picky about crab cakes!
A friend recommended this place because it was across the street from the Performing Arts Center where we were going to see a show. It took a while to give our order but after that the turnaround time was good. The wagyu hamburger was one of the best that I've ever had.
When we were seated the chairs looked daunting but we were so comfortable, we decided they put them there so people will stay longer. It would have worked on us if we weren't seeing Hamilton. We had the calamari and it was delicious, also started with the Edamame which could have used some more salt, but it was still good. We tried the special Black Manhattan and could have honestly drank like 10 of them, but then we wouldn't remember the show. For our main course we had the Duck Special, the Boar schnitzel and the Tiki Marsala and it was all delicious. The Marsala could have used a bit more salt IMO, but I still ate almost all of it. Our waitress was busy and not super attentive, but definitely friendly. Had a great experience and will be back.
Great food, try the cotton candy!
Good selection of lunch items, reasonably priced. Nothing super special, but a good value in a great location.
The dining experience was interesting. We had reservations but we must not have fit the preferred clientele list, because they put us at a small table in the lounge area when there were 5 empty tables in the dining area. The hostess in the green dress was indifferent to us, but after questioning this situation the other hostess did put us at a table. I order the schnitzel and it had the consistency of shoe leather, they did take it back and serve a prime rib which was good. The wait staff was excellent and the service was great. But, I have no interest in going back.
Great location for pre-theater dinner - food is ok, but nothing special & I think heading down to Larimer St.would be a better choice for restaurants. The service was good - we had to send back a bottle of champagne because it was warm and they didn't blink an eye - the server brought us back a cold bottle in about 15 minutes. The place was packed, but for some reason really cold, so I ended up keeping my coat on for most of the dinner.
Good strategic location for taking in a show or other entertainment. Had dinner before a concert. If you don't much care about food, this place is probably worth it. But, if food makes a difference in your overall evening experience, pass on this spot. Mediocre, at best, with lots of alternative choices in the theatre district area.
Especially convenient if you are seeing a show! Our server was fast and attentive. The food was decent. Cocktails a bit expensive.
Food was excellent with a varied menu that should satisfy most people.
This was the perfect choice and venue before going to anything @ DCPA. Close by, quick great service, appropriate sized portions, and they know and respect you have an important date and time to meet!! Awesome!!!
It seemed that the entire staff was well rehearsed on a before theater crowd. And they also did a great job with us as part of the after theater crowd. Recommended before or after or both!!
It will become part of our ritual, just as much as being a subscriber to DCPA.
Now, there's an idea for The Corner Office & Martini Bar!! Create a subscription series punch card or resevation data base that allows Corner Bar subscribers preferred reservations/seating times via email, a week to 10 days before event dates. Doesn't have to be for all; pick the biggies!! Hamilton, the Ballet, Nutcracker, Lady Day (thats only every Monday, and I suspect other than Hamilton, MOndays could be slow going) just an idea; and for sure I would be first in line if something like that was offered.
Again, thanks for making the entire night, easy, tasty, fun and what a great night out in Denver cn really be like!!! Congrats, continued success and Cheers!!
My husband and I were very disappointed in the food. I had the Sesame Ono that was laden in a teriyaki sauce, that I did not expect. The ONO was overcooked as well.
My husband had the Bolognese, that was more Pasta than Bolognese and the flavor was bacon. Who puts bacon in Bolognese!
BROCK was attentive, friendly and helpful. The brussels sprouts are OUT OF THIS WORLD! One order shared appetizer, another order for my main course and a third order to go! The cauliflower soup was excellent as was the strawberry salad. Pretty quiet on Monday night. Since our table was right under speakers, the music was a little loud. We'll be back!
Both the night we only had drinks and the meal after attending the theater the next night were enjoyable. We were provided good wine, good beer, good food, and great service . One extra benefit is its proximity to the theater complex.
The food and hostess were great but, our actual server was horrible and should not be a server. I had gotten there before the rest of my party and was seated so he saw me. Then when it was time to order he took the order of my friends and then completely walked away not even taking my order. We called after him and were ignored when he looked back at our table did he realize what he had done. Came back took my order walked away and came right back to write down my friends order again. Then at the end I asked for my Ramen to be boxed up because I still had a good portion left. He took my bowl and then never came back with it, even though he acknowledged I wanted it to go. I didn't bother asking because I figured he had it thrown out. I will not be going back the food was good but, the service was horrible and it was the same server my friend who I was dining with that night had, had previously and also had a bad experience with previously.
We were among the throngs going to "Hamilton," but the restaurant got us all in and out in a timely manner (and, by the way, you DON'T need an hour to get through the new security procedures at the theater!) The choices for my friend, who has dietary restrictions, were relatively limited, but the server worked with her to adjust ingredients. The meal was tasty. And you cannot beat the location for a DCPA performance!
Great food and thoughtful server. Eclectic menu with a great special entree. Noise level was very high and it was the only drawback for our table. Great location near the theater.
Always our "go-to" spot for a pre-theater dinner. Great food (my Duck a l'orange was delicious) & great service for our group of 7 ladies. The hostess was very accommodating when our first table--a high top--was not suited to some of the older ladies. They were able to set up a different table for us that was perfect! Also, our server, Nicole, was friendly, informative, patient and attentive to everyone in our group. The only negative was the noise volume which made it difficult to carry on a conversation, but they had a full & very busy house!
Love this place. It’s the perfect place to eat before or after attanding an event at DCPA.
The service here is incredible. The people are so nice and friendly which only makes the experience better. I was here for brunch before a show at the Denver Performing Arts Center and was very impressed with the drink options as well as the food. I truly don't have anything bad to say about this restaurant.
The service here is outstanding! Congratulations to the management. The menu is eclectic and in my opinion kind of limited, but there are some interesting choices. The wag-yu beef hamburger was our pre- theatre choice plus appetizers and it was delicious! So convenient to the Denver Arts Complex.
In December 2017, we discovered that The Corner Office had been remodeled. We had a very enjoyable gathering. This time, we were attending theater at the DPAC right across the street. We were seated promptly at our reserved time. The entire process-ordering, food arrival, eating, and check payment got us out to walk across the street in 50 minutes. the food was scrumptious. Between us, we had crab cakes, Brussels sprouts, and Ramen bowl with pork bell. Each item was very tasty. We shall return.
A few of the attorneys and myself went here for lunch thinking it will be nice to finally try this place out. When we arrived there were a large crowd at the door waiting for a host to show up. When she finally did she was very slow at sitting people. When we were finally seated it took them a while to bring us water and it wasn’t really busy! When we was ready to place our order took a while for the food to come out. I never got a refill on my soft drink and weren’t checked on during the whole time of our meal except when it was time to pay for the meal. The Gyro was too dry and lack of flavor, and as for the side which was French-fries we didn’t have enough ketchup and couldn’t find the waitress. So kind of disappointed that this was our first time there we didn’t really enjoy the meal nor the service!
Excellent taste in menu options, their food was actually high quality and authentic!
For Pre-theatre dinner, The Corner Office is always a great choice.
I have eaten at this restaurant dozens of times before the change in menu. I did eat there a few times in this last year but now, I am sad that the food has declined in taste and many of the wonderful coctails are gone. Where are those amazing desserts ? I will not make a reservation for awhile.
Good food, server wasn’t fantastic but nice, sub was blinding us because our table was on the window.
Overall, not bad. Not outstanding or anything to rave about. Bottomless mimosas are great with a full bar.
Some girlfriends and I went to the Corner Office for lunch before we went to the ballet on a Saturday. We made reservations and for some reason we were sat in a banquet with three tiny round cocktail tables pushed together near the entrance/bar. There were five of us and unfortunately this setup was not conducive to conversation. I was disappointed that we didn’t get a table in the restaurant section since I made reservations. My friends weren’t too excited about the brunch menu on a Saturday but we all enjoyed what we ordered. Two of us got the French dip and it was delicious! Our server was friendly and not overbearing. The bathroom sticky notes are a fun touch.
