Really enjoyed our dinner, service, wine selection and food was great.
An extra condiment was forgotten.
We were first served dinner for the guests one table away from us.
Our table wasn’t well lit, so we couldn’t see our food.
Delicious entrees always!
We had made a reservation for 3 people with a wheelchair accessible table and they attempted to seat us at a table for two that would require stair access. The hostess pointed to the courtyard and asked us to pick a table. We upon sitting we were promptly moved to a third table based on another reservation. This was very difficult for my mom who uses a walker. The dining service and food was excellent. However, when trying to pay our credit card was taken for payment and no one returned with it for over 30 minutes even after asking for it. Finally once the rain started to come down we moved my mom to the car and I had to go inside to look for the credit card. This is one of our favorite restaurants and we will return, but we ask that consideration be made for those who have limited mobility.
For the price, the lunch entrees were very ordinary. Service and patio atmosphere was amazing though, which help to counter the food. Would I go back for lunch? Doubtful.
We went to celebrate my birthday, and it was very special and delicious!
40 th anniversary!
I had 2 small lates
The diver scallops were dvine
Superb in every way....ambience, service, food, wine. The sommelier was extraordinarily helpful. Her suggestion was just the right wine for us. This was the best dinner we have enjoyed in the past year, eclipsing many meals in Santa Fe and in New York City. A must destination for a great experience.
The staff was friendly and professional upon arrival. The atmosphere was casual and elegant. Service and food exceptional!
Great place for lunch in the back patio while it is still warm out.
Beautiful patios for COVID 19 safe dining. Excellent vegetarian options.
All superb, a delightful experience in every way!
Food was delicious, but service not so good. I had to flag down our waiter to get a drink refill and had to wait way too long to get our check. In a restaurant of this caliber, this was not acceptable.
Wonderful respite from lock down
The wait staff is alway pleasant and helpful in explaining the menu and making recommendations. The service is always efficient. We have tried several different entrees
and enjoyed every one of them. The desserts are to "die for". We always request the Rainbow Room. It is bright and cheerful and provides an interesting atmosphere as you watch people come and go.
Such an amazing place. Food was incredible; had Chanterelles, Corn Soup and the Chicken Paillard and the Schlumberger Grand Cru Riesling was a perfect pairing. Service efficient, professional, and personable and the space is beautiful. Sat on their beautiful patio. Couldn’t give it a higher recommendation! Will be back next time in Santa Fe!
Ordered halibut but it was dry and over cooked like it was heated up too long. Soup was very good. Have had many meals that were very good at this restaurant.
Everything was delicious and the patio dining was beautiful!
It was a perfect day to eat out, beautiful with a light breeze.
This is one of my favorite Santa Fe resturants and it was as good as it always is -never had a bad meal here.
Beautiful, great food and great staff.
Will return soon-
The hostess was incredibly professional and friendly. It was our honeymoon and we were treated like friends.
The waitress was very polite and informative. We love to talk a bit so she was very patient and listened to our story.
We had great service and recommendations. The food was next level. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We had multiple courses and the wine was a great fit for the meal. The wine list is put together very well.
All in all we would go once a month here.
We enjoyed it.
The patio seat was nice, the host is very friendly, the waiter was not friendly the tone of voice was not nice at first, he did warm up a little towards the end.
Both I and my rend ordered the halibut and both of ours were overcooked. Shouldn’t have to worry about that when you’re paying $38 per entree.
We loved our time there. We were disappointed that we couldn't sit outside, and then we saw two other tables outside. As 70-somethings, we would really have preferred that because of the virus, and not having windows open in the dining room. Otherwise, lovely.
Beautiful food, ambiance, and service. This is the place to go for a memorable occasion.
Food was wonderful and atmosphere great. Eat here every time in town
Was great to be back at The Compound. The food and wine and ambience were stellar.
This restaurant is above average in food and ambience. It is pricey but worth it. Just beware the cocktail prices. We ended up ordering a $40 margarita which was indeed a shock and definitely not worth it. We thought it said $14. Good thing we only ordered one.
Special friend in town to celebrate.
Elegant and sophisticated. One of our "most go to" restaurants when we visit Santa Fe.
Lovely patio seating. Attentive staff. The seared tuna salad and lobster salad were outstanding. The stacked chicken salad was not so great. Three slices of chicken on top of a massive amount of finally chopped greens and blue cheese was not an appealing look,. When all was said and done, the plain chicken slices that decorated the tilting mound of compact greens weren’t anything to write home about.
Lovely space, delicious food, attentive service, extensive wine list and Kristina is a very knowledgeable sommelier.
We were staying at the home of a friend who recommended the restaurant, we made reservations a few weeks in advance. When we arrived, there seemed to be some misunderstanding at the hostess station, the manager(?) was looking at a reservation for a party (not us) that apparently was supposed to be noted as an anniversary, but didn't make it on the reservation. I assume they got that worked out, then we were greeted.
Our reservation requested outdoor seating. We were sat in a "makeshift" area with a few other tables. It looked like maybe is was a patio or service area that a tent had been put over. The atmosphere was cold and unwelcoming.
I ordered a steak, one of their most popular items. I was not given a knife when my meal arrived and had to get up to ask for one. My steak was ordered medium, the steak I received was overcooked and tough. When service staff came over, I told him that my steak was overcooked, he asked me to cut it down the middle, which I did, he said "oh no, that is not medium". They did take it away and brought another steak. My company was almost finished with their meal, I insisted they not wait on mine so that their meal would not get cold.
The second steak was cooked as ordered. No compensation from the restaurant.
Disappointed in the service, atmosphere and food.
A lovely dinner on the patio at the Compound. A wonderful menu- it was difficult to decide and all of the dishes were delicious. A memorable evening.
Great place. Great food. Great service.
While the scallops were some of the best I’ve had, the roast chicken was dry and bland. The heirloom tomatoes were not ripe. The wine list is phenomenal and the sommelier is a real character.
We have come with family before but this time came with very good friends the weather was perfect the food was really unbelievable delicious and the ambiance great. We had excellent service with Pedro our attendant was very helpful chosen our vine and food. Overall our friends felt this was their best meal ever
Alex is always the best! Thank you for always making us feel so welcome.
Delicious food, attentive (but not annoyingly so) wait staff. Perfect dinner.
Lunch in the tented patio where the sight-lines are uninteresting. The food not as good as in the past. We recently had an excellent dinner at the Compound. The server was inattentive and disengaged. I am guessing because he had to serve us in that "Siberia" of the Compound.
Beautiful evening on a beautiful patio! Absolutely wonderful
