                                                                    The food was excellent and the service was very friendly. Unfortunately the lunch was spooked when we noticed a half dead mouse under the seat of the table next to us. Obviously, that spoiled the lunch. We did inform the manager. Very unfortunate as we wanted to try this restaurant for a while now.

                                                                    Tamayo has changed my mind about brunch. I am not usually a fan of brunch because in my experience it’s usually more akin to cafeteria food than to fine dining, even in your more upscale restaurants. And it can be boring with the same ol same ol selections on the menu. Not so at Tamayo. The food served was hot and flavorful and there was much variety with lots of savory options. The chipotle crispy bacon was addictive. Huevos a la Mexicana were fluffy and well-seasoned and, best of all, freshly made. The posole was packed with chicken. Flautas were crispy without being greasy. Even the fruit with tajin was good - fruits used were ripe and sweet. The margaritas were fresh and well-balanced not the watered-down, syrupy concoctions you might expect from a bottomless brunch. We were very impressed with the quality and deliciousness of Tamayo’s brunch and would highly recommend.

                                                                    Outstanding service and food after a show at DCPA. This place never disappoints. The ceviche, fundido, shrimp enchiladas and hose margaritas were great. It’s no wonder the place has been around so long.

                                                                    Tamayo was a wonderful stop before our DCPA show. Loved everything, except the salsa. Salsa has NO flavor, even though the waiter said they use chile del arbol...they don't. There's no heat or flavor in the salsa they serve on the table to compliment those crispy chips and marvelous guacamole. We ordered a different salsa for our delicious mahi tacos, and that habanero salsa will make your toes curl! Too much heat, but not much flavor either. There's apparently no in between! Why? That's my ONLY complaint. They need to work on that salsa.

Only disappointment was when we called Tamayo a week before our reservation and tried to add two people for a total of 7 and were told they didn't have a table to accommodate us. However there was a table of 7 seated next to us that night. That set a bad tone for the evening.

We assure you it was not intentional as our seating capacity can vary depending on a variety of factors. The table in question may have been reserved well in advance of your request.
