We made a 7:30 reservation as that was the first available but went early and they were able to seat us by 7 which was much appreciated. Service was super quick... almost too quick? Our server took our order and was leaving the table I stopped him and requested to add one more item, he said "sure" but didn't write it down and it was forgotten. We weren't charged for it and I didn't bother asking for it again but was a bit disappointed that it was forgotten. The food was average to us - the tortillas on the carne asada tacos were a bit too heavy, the meat could use a bit more char. The chicken tinga enchiladas were yummy.

We would return, fantastic creative drinks, accomplished bartender, great waitress. Food was very taste, a little pricey at $400 for 4people given the small portions.

Tamayo is always outstanding! The food is creative and delicious. Our waiter was friendly and efficient. I don't get downtown much, but when I do, I love to go to Tamayo!

In the past this was one of our favorite restaurants. This was the first time we were there since before COVID. The food was mediocre at best - guac seemed to have some type of filler - sour cream - due to texture and lack of flavor. shrimp enchiladas flavorless. margarita mediocre. decor looked worn. service was mixed. our server was ok but maybe overworked. greater/receptionist refused to give us menus, saving the server would bring them. after at least five minutes with no menus we approached the greater again, who declined again. when we pointed out she had a pile of them beside her she finally gave us menus. we won't be going again.

Food was fantastic. First time I’ve had “gourmet” Mexican. I had the Scottish salmon. Beautifully presented. Our waitress was very forgetful. She asked our order three times. We also had to remind her to bring drink refills, chips, and other requests. Hopeful this waitress was just and anomaly. Service is why I gave 4 stars not 5. The food was worth a 5.
