Chef Dan hit a grand slam at the Teppan bar. we sat with 5 new 1st timers who had an amazing experience too. That is Chef Dan for the Salmon. You exceeded my expectations.

The place is like Benihanas , but better. The prices are lower and service exceptional. I came for my sons bday and we had a blast!

Our first time at Tabi-Ji was very good on a Saturday night, though not perfect. They gave us a courtesy call informing us that there will be at least 15 minutes wait time. We waited 30 mins to be seated while the host ensured we were comfortable checking on us every now and then. He helped clear and set up our table for us to be seated quicker. Host provided an exceptional service indeed. Meanwhile, the owner, I believe, approached us also to apologize and gave our two kids some snacks to munch while we wait. The servers were friendly but we were disappointed with the one who took our order coz he could not give us recommendation when we asked and responding like he doesn't know, so we based our orders from yelpers instead-skipping the chicken and yakisoba. We ordered steaks and seafood combo which our Asian chef prepared artistically and delicious to the last bite! Kids loved the fried rice a lot! The tuna sashimi was yummy fresh and the burrito rolls were good too! Unfortunately, they forgot to serve us our miso soup and salad that I had to ask in the middle of our meal. Anyways, we want to go back in a smaller group and on a weekday, maybe we will have a better, if not perfect, experience next time.
