Fun date. Great service. Good sushi. Enjoyed service excellence.
The best sushi in Denver. Their omakase is the way to go.
We were visiting Denver from San Francisco, and my husband and I were skeptical of Denver's sushi offerings. We wanted somewhere that offered an Omakase, and after eating at Sushi Sasa, I will never doubt Denver again. This was, hands down, one of the best meals I've ever had. The fish was all fresh, delicate and creatively flavored. There was a salmon dish that nearly made me toss down my chopsticks in disbelief. We also did the sake pairing and it complimented the dishes so well. And the dessert!! A wasabi tiramisu that may have changed my life. Our server was so kind, and though she was very busy, stopped to chat with us about the food and even gave us some recommendations for other places to visit before we left town. The next time we're in Denver I will absolutely be eating at Sushi Sasa again.
Our server, Heather i believe was her name, was exceptional. She was slammed and did everything to make sure everyone in her large section was well taken care of. The food was awesome as always is to be expected from this spot.
The food and service were fantastic!
Absolutely incredible. Sushi was fresh and very flavorful. Service was impeccable. Best place in town for sushi. We moved out of state 4 years ago. Came back to visit and couldn't wait to go back to Sushi Sasa for dinner.
Always delicious and outperforms our already-high expectations.
Foods were good but a bit expensive as lunch. The receptionist was not fast enough to bring us to the table even I had a reservation. We had to wait at the entrance fora while.
Absolutely wonderful on all fronts. Really one of the best dining experiences in Denver. I always look forward to visiting Sushi Sasa.
Outstanding ambiance with a high quality of food and service. Both my wife and I enjoyed our dining experience and would highly recommend to anyone wanting a romantic evening.
Not the same tastes we come there for. And service was terrible
Great experience at lunch! The fish was fresh, the restaurant was very clean and the service was efficient. The restaurant isn’t too loud, the decor and windows bring in a lot of natural light.
The experience for this level of restaurant was not what I expected. We made the reservation through Open Table and expected to have a normal length of time for dinner. As we were being seated, the hostess made the comment that we had two hours for dinner. We did not intimate that we would be longer than that. I can understand if we walked in and they squeezed us in for a quick dinner.
The service had some gaffes such as forgetting to bring items such as appetizer ordered or tea for one of the guests. They also got the order wrong for one of the premium meals. No problem eating soup twice. We assumed the appetizer would arrive but the main course was brought. No need for appetizer at that point.
They started clearing dinner dishes before all persons were done with their dinner. They also neglected to offer desert and after dinner drinks. The food brought was excellent but we felt extremely rushed and as if we were being forced out the door. We were not even close to the two hour limit as others seated before us were much longer.
Wonderful intimate dining. Fresh and accommodating.
Went for sushi lunch on Saturday, 10/02/2021. The location is a little off the beaten path in Denver, which I think is beneficial. The ambience is very serene, almost spartan, again which I like. The service was attentive and the nigiri sushi was superb. Great rice -- which is a sushi must -- well cooked, not wet and mushy as in so many American sushi restaurants. Sushi toppings were fresh and tasty. Overall a great experience.
Extremely poor service. You would think of clearing dinner plates before Serving dessert!
Fantastic food and great overall experience as always!
Decent food, good staff. Was hyped up to be incredible, but it didn't make it there for us. Pricey for the quality of food
Great location, great, fresh sushi. The restaurant is set-up a little odd, but good environment. The server wasn't very personable, but he was knowledgeable and he made sure we were taken care of. It was a little loud, but that was really just one family. Overall, we would be happy to go back!
Great ambience in the place. Portion sizes are a bit small but makes up in the quality and taste in the food.
We love this place! Celebrated our wedding anniversary and the service and food were excellent!
Excellent basic sushi. Nothing too fancy, just great sushi.
Been there many times. Tonight was brutal long waits for food and service and some clientele was questionable and very rude and loud
For dine in, the food was incredible, super high quality & reasonably priced considering the ambience/environment & service. Our server & service was great, the food was admittedly a tad slow coming out, but the restaurant was packed, so it was more than understandable. Past that though, our waitress kept us up to date and even pushed our order up after we mentioned that we had been waiting a while. We will definitely be coming back to celebrate special occasions, and will definitely be recommending this to any friends/family that ask for an upscale sushi spot in Denver’
Always so delicious! Great service too. It’s a very special place whether for a daily meal or for a special occasion.
Love this place! Consistently great food. Consistently great service. Wayne, the owner, it’s always so friendly.
Excellent staff and delicious food! One of my favorite sushi restaurants in Denver!
Sushi Sasa has a smaller menu with some more unique rolls than most sushi restaurants. We got out of our comfort zone a little bit with our order and everything was fresh and delicious. Some of the best sushi in Denver. We went with the rolls our server recommended and were not disappointed. The price is a little higher than average but the quality is excellent. The restaurant is cute, cozy, and clean.
Really good food but had to ask for water from the wait staff several times before they brought plastic cups instead of glass. I guess they ran out of glasses? Waiter wasn’t friendly at all and seemed annoyed. Ordered the chocolate lava cake for dessert which was supposed to come with vanilla ice cream and instead came with some weird sorbet. When I asked about the ice cream he just responded by saying they must have been out of vanilla ice cream. However, the other half of our group received vanilla ice cream, so... great food however the overall experience ruined it for me.
I gave the service a lower score, however it was not the server’s issue. From start to finish we had extraordinarily long delays. This was firm drinks to the main. We did not receive our dinner brim 2-1/2 hrs wait.
It appears this was due to staffing issues, so perhaps it would have been smarter to limit occupancy and not impact the reputation of the restaurant.
2 hours for just two people. Rolls had a lot of rice and less fish.
wonderful hamichi jalapeno sushi. Too long to wait for water. but good service
Not my favorite sushi, very large rolls, not a very diverse menu.
Everything was just fine, but I expected higher quality food and experience for the prices they charge. There are better options for sushi in town.
Wonderful lunch spot! Excellent menu! My favorite sushi spot in Denver because they serve lunch and take reservations.
We had an incredible time until the end, food and service was phenomenal. Brianna (sp) is outstanding. She picked out everything for us and did a wonderful job, couldn’t have been happier with the selections.
We were there quite a while, spent a good chunk of money and as we were winding down, the hostess impolitely said we had reached our 2 hour limit and it was time to go. I found that absurd, especially since we had such an incredible experience leading up to that.
Her lack of situational awareness and crass attitude was disappointing.
Wait for food was long
Came here for my man’s birthday, we had a great time! Definitely recommend the Wagyu nigiri, for $20 it’s MORE than worth it. Will definitely be coming back here for more special occasions
Really great food, exceptional sushi, really. Please be patient with them, as they are very clearly understaffed. Might take a while to come out, but it's worth it. Please don't be a grump at the servers for something they cannot control. Great time to get to talk with family in an intimate space and enjoy delicious food.
Always love it here
